I got an idea.? Was it mine though.? It was
A bit risqu'e i'm sure you know.' About schwab and his winker 'being well?? small' and inaproppriate behaviour.' And sliding through a cracked wall..Well I never knew.? I thought I was taking a chance.? Yet he is facing legal charges now, I think he'll have to dance.? So don't
Look at me as smutty.' As I know now I'd
Had the nod..The only One who told me write this down turns out to ( Be God ')

Wiseguys

Wiseguys

when I was a skinny
eight-year-old boy
I knew him as
Willy Shoes

it was Brooklyn
in 1950 and
some men had
strange names
reflections of personality
deed or look

he and his friends
never seemed to have jobs
but gathered on corners
played cards in social clubs
always friendly always polite

Willy Shoes was handsome
with large dark Mediterranean eyes
dressed to the nines
silk shirts pegged pants
gold cufflinks and alligator belts
jet-black hair combed
into a perfectly Brylcreemed
ducktail and pompadour
you could see your reflection
in the high gloss of any pair
of shoes from his infinite
spit shined collection

Wille liked me
hey kiddo he would say
here’s a buck
take this here envelope
and give it to Thomazula
the bootblack

one day when
I was about seventeen
I saw a picture of
Willie Shoes
on the front page of
the New York Post
handcuffed and trying to
hide his face with a
neatly pressed
pin-striped suit jacket

Willie “Shoes” Sansone it said
charged with the murders
of eleven gangland figures

and I remember wondering
if he would let me have
a few pair of his fancy shoes
while he was away...

He Was the Man

Nineteen sixty was a wonderful year
Willie Mays was brought to Candlestick Park
It left New Yorkers with more than one tear
But San Franciscans remember that mark

I rushed to the park to catch my first sight
Of the Giants displaying this great man
They were playing the Dodgers Friday night -
I found a seat in the center field stand

The Dodgers threw Drysdale at six feet five
And only Willie was up to the job
He parked the first pitch, the crowd came alive,
And Willie trotted home to greet the mob

It stayed that way all through the first eight
Wille played center field just beyond touch
Two out for the Dodgers, hope getting late
They pinch hit a rookine, prayer but not much

Sharp crack of the bat, high to center field
Willie turned his back to the plate and ran
Clear to the wall at top speed then he wheeled
Put his glove at his belt - he was the Man

Miyuki

Your mind is beautiful
Your soul draws me in
With its delicate calm
And I have neither the strength
Nor the will to escape
I want to die in there
That I may know heaven

Dein Geist is schön
Deine Seele zieht mich hinein
Mit ihrer zarten Friedlichkeit
woraus zu flüchten
habe ich weder die Wille noch die Kraft
Darin will ich sterben
Damit ich Himmel kennen darf
