The Angry Little Chipmunk spotted his prey...
He moved into position, ready to Pounce!
But a Rabid Squirrel, took his nuts for a whirl...
No Way! Each day I'm getting thinner by the Ounce!
Don't stop now, you're on a roll,
Trust your luck and seize the goal.
Make your play, climb each mountain,
Sip wine from a golden fountain.
Things look bright, when you're winning,
Helps create a new beginning.
Count your chips, when you're done,
Rest now under setting sun.
You're up again, at morning light,
It won't shine like it did last night.
Stoke that fire, feed it kindling,
Watch your fortune slowly dwindling.
One more chance, you made the call,
Shoved it in and bet it all.
Things look bleak, no place to roam,
Now penniless and heading home.
When the chips are down
Men are separated from boys
Quitters fall by the way side
While perennial winners
Seize the day and be counted
For that is the essence of life
Life is a live show
It is for a short season
It is time to show the stuff
One is made of
And bow out as the ovation
Reaches its crescendo
Life is for the living
Take it one day at a time
Everyday as if it were the last
Cause the ultimate leveler
Strikes when you least expect it
first spin of the wheel
she goes straight into the red
lucky numbers failed!

A model enjoyed eating french fries
they began adding bulk to her thighs
As each chip passed her lips
Weight soon piled on her hips
Once skinny, she became a plus size
(In the UK fries are also known as chips)

WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN
I’m no hero but when the
Chips are down I know what to do -
You gotta step up to the plate.
Lived once in a part of town where
There were only our two houses built -
No other neighbours.
Guy next door and me didn’t get on -
Long story, but I’m talkin’ years, ok?
One Saturday night five tough kids came
And began to destroy his flower garden.
He went out alone, confronting.
Watching through the window, glad it wasn’t me.
But I figured it was him today, me tomorrow.
Went out and stepped over the small
Fence into his garden, stood next to him.
Five against two didn’t look so easy: so
They took off with a mouthful of curses.
I looked at him, he looked at me.
We nodded slightly, and turned away.
We never spoke, but we understood.
We didn’t get on.
Men are like that.
