"Work in Progress-A poem saved but never completed or posted- the idea is fine, the structure needs a lot of improving" The Poet

Poems from over the world Africa to Thailand
From Yorkshire to the Scottish Highland

Every one a jewel in the right light,
Every one is good, every one is right

Poems on Soup are like links in a chain
Reading each one gives us something to gain

There are many whose poems are extremely fine
They know who I mean, some have become friends of mine

Some touch our heart, make us laugh or think
But there's no such thing as a weaker link

 Unfinished

The Weakest Don'T Survive

She's been broken and confused,
Torn apart and left bruised
Let alone on her knees
She's been called weak,
Tears until she couldn't speak
She's lost herself once or twice
Was told the weaker can't survive,
Though still she won't leave her heart there to die
She believes it's a matter of time before she does something right
She wears her baggy shirts and her jeans just a little too tight
When everyone is asleep at night,
She lies awake crying herself to sleep
They say the journey only gets tougher,
Though she wonders just how much she can endure
She's tried her hardest,
Even though it's never been good enough
She's finally face to face with her struggles,
Getting through after all is only half of the battle

Premium MemberConsider the Weakest Link

Consider the potential of the weakest link,
For appearances can be utterly deceiving
Physical prowess can skew how we think.

The well-toned body can fail on the brink
While a good mind for strategy is achieving,
Consider the potential of the weakest link.

When the chips are hidden in the klink,
The impending score beyond our believing
Physical prowess can skew how we think.

Change can happen faster than a blink
With strategic decisions worth receiving,
Consider the potential of the weakest link.

Good form supersedes fashion, I think,
Though often considered interweaving
Physical prowess can skew how we think.

Causing us from winning to utterly shrink
From ultimate victory we were conceiving,
Consider the potential of the weakest link
Physical prowess can skew how we think.

The Weakest Link

The biggest weapons and power on thinnest threat,
when hackers enters the target pointing to the head.
Conspiracies and its social observation surprise,
political handicap that challenges the economic survive.
The wilderness of mirrors that bouncing back and fort,
cyber attacks and its ransom through every digital port.
Devastating electronic viruses and its losses,
the e-war that cripples the integrity of its state bosses.
Paralyzed system beyond repair and its consequence,
infodemic stories in the story become a dramatic reference.
Informational theft and the Holy Grail of global control,
the 5G mask and its needed diaper for that holy scroll.
Stimulated elected mediocrity for limited patriots,
as frustrated slaves call for public fanatic riots.
Digital diversification to the narrowest perspective,
symptoms of failure in intelligence effective.

Make Strong Your Weakest Part

L-ights from up above shine,
A-s the clouds have turned
I-nto one wide crimson sky,
C-learing
A-ir of smoke that has been burned.

A-s the fifth day has broken,
M-onth of February feels
E-late for the rest of the year,
R-ejoicing head over heels.
I-njury, stitches, and burns
C-reate ache of the heart;
A-ffliction and hurt though can make strong your weakest part.

My Weakest and My Strength

I have moved mountains
I have had $5 to my name
I have had the weight of the world on my shoulders
Rocks of slander have been thrown at me
I just float and keep pushing ya see

My invisible umbrella guarded me from the shade
Took the cards I was dealt and I just Played
No fear No worries
Black.
Strong.
Woman.
Tell me what I can't do so I can prove it to you.
I don't take your bs I have enough of my own

Then
Him.

He makes me stronger and weaker at the
Same
Damn
Time
He makes me want to fly
He makes me high
no drugs
He makes me feel like Im the **** better
Royalty
like a queen
Then
Reality

Weakest Link

Weakest Link

Belt around a size eight waist
curtains waiting to be close
undressed, with a weak link touch
hard like a buckle.

I Am the Weakest Link...

Can you see the bodies piled on tops of one another?
My strength is draw from that which would destroy me.
Taking these things into consideration, I look down upon me
I feel I am no stronger than any other person.
Just better at hiding my weakness.
Not being able to show my true colors.
Not being able to show the true weakness within.
I hide it from the world, fearing that all would see me weak.
And in seeing me weak they would come in for the kill.
I would not be able to protect myself, I would cease to exist.
Looking at it through these eyes.
I feel now that I am not the strong one.
But perhaps the weakest of them all.
