I sip

my hands grasp
I slip
bucket with leak
won't fill
my story

truth that's weak

water like time,

Apart from the worn stone-step
where drunks still topple
all has changed.
Now a neon glow backlights a plasticized fascia.

Youths shout
over the clomping-thump
of their car radios.
