Delft's Johannes Vermeer
art being his particular sphere
Series of beautiful local girls
in addition to the one with the pearls
I don't paint or draw.
I'm not expressive that way.
But I admire
those who can visualize
their take on the world 'round them.
A couple of spheres,
four sticks of uncertain length
is as expressive
a portrait as I can get.
Guess I'll stick with poetry!

Keep visuals clear
Seize poignant cheer
In serious light
Joy burns most bright
Picture and see
Life most cheery
Prize sweet surprise
Spice all things nice
Colours and tints
Sculpt fine mint
Impact starts
Heart moves art
In a gist
Pixels list
Be brief then
Ink stains trend
Visual art
Spurs grand start

Apt aim aids art
Play primes pure part
Bloom brisk bright bard
Heart heaps health hard
Calm choice charms cheer
Feel Faith freeze fear
Dream deep dear dance
Trust tastes true trance
Each etch earns ear
Niche nude noise near
Force feed fine feast
Brine big bleak beast
Glimpse grand gain grip
Tears thrill tough trip
Hurts hurl huge hints
Toil throws true tints

Move mindset more
Catch crafty core
Play primal proof
Touch telling truth
Lift laughter loud
Pulse pricking proud
Rich rapture rooms
Bright beauty blooms
Charm clever choice
Play precious poise
Mind matter makes
Thrill touching take
Dream dazzling day
Speak succinct say
Words work wonder
Poise prompts ponder
Fuzzy form fades
Treasure true trade
Meek moments mull
Dizzy daze dulls
Veer visual voice
Crisp crazy choice

The difference between
the carnal and the spiritual,
has as much to do with
convictions as does visuals.
The Carnal's favorite epithet:
I will believe in it when I see it.
Living as a mere fleck in the universe
his chances of vision grow steadily worse.
While Spiritual cling to holy writ:
I will see it because I believe it.
With the number of faiths available,
all options, it seems, are on the table.
NOTE: Another oldie that I've never showed before ...
Script of verse floods sublime,
Reason previews love's chimes.
Mixed feelings swirl around,
Symbols speak most profound.
Visuals fling colour spree,
Impact tells a story.
Calmness floods placid poise,
Affluence transcends all noise.
Poise styles a happy face,
Watch voice dance that pure grace.
Stillness wears deep silence,
True health knows persistence.
Silence speaks in stillness,
Joy sustains grand gladness.
Be happy just to see,
This journey journal free.

Dawn speaks softly
In misty tones;
Bird song sweetly
Like new ring tones.
Morn floats breezy
With moist fresh air;
Joy feels easy
In calm affairs.
Sun styles new light
In warm colours;
Darkness takes flight
With fresh flavours.
Day wears a charm
In golden glow;
Beauty now arms
The world we know.
Light comes to swirl
With zesty flood;
A waking world
Feels pulse of blood.
Seize then the way
Where path may lead;
Speak words that pay
To cause discrete.
Learn to unlearn
The monkey mind;
Feel what you yearn
To seek and find.
Join mind to heart
In sure align;
Dare to brave start
As symbols sign.
Be of good cheer
For joy floods peace;
Let love draw near
To fund wise ease.

Aiming for a perfect range, I click
in strobe-like effect, feeling the pumping
sensation in the blood: the twitch on my
hands peaks until the frames connect
to this heart on days when my pupils
release a thrill of wonder in a field
trailing miraculously on nature’s expanse.
And life’s fleeting motions are tucked into
a scenic romance never to be seen in same way.
Yet, as flashes of instances are
arranged in a collage of dreams ,
images portraying those I loved, encountered,
and never known … but
tattooed on skin of memory’s seasons.

Red rose,
pink pose,
love's light
sweet sight,
great glow,
short show,
Day dreams
bright beams
for fun
we won.
