Verisimilitude Poems

IN THE EQUINOX OF CHANGE

It seems like the spring
I waited for has betrayed me;
Leaving a verisimilitude
Of the season,
Due to the vicissitudes
Sown in today’s
Rogue political climate:-

However, it’s a rooted reality,
That changes happen, whether
We believe they do, or do not:
The day that’s coming,
Will become today,
And this today,
Will become yesterday:-

Thus, in the labors of love,
In the present and coming seasons,
Sowing and reaping divine fruits of hope,
Let us ensure that springing justice,
Balancing in God’s sojourning navigation,
Will be blooming in past yesterdays,
And their future tomorrows:-

pulchritudinous ingots chisel and shades
dazzle and illuminate umpteen reasons

poetry is like a swirling, susurrus-sibilant chimera
of innuendo arty souls, albeit vapid syntax
around serene scenery, orbs, and idealism

Is unction vital to adorn naked words with plumose wings?
whose views of contentment, vim, and happiness?
Inversely hamstringing people with arrows?

sighs of sorrow sound sowed soil
mothers, wailing and yelling out to unborn spirits

as our hearts crave affection
poetry provides its verisimilitude vacuum

do susurrus coruscating suborn scarlet spills?
deep within a stymie pirouette
the tortured sinews of a troubled mind are twisting

my life bill was still due till my final breath
I bequeath you my spirit as expressed in sonnets
I bequeath you my marrow, wrapped in iambic style
I bequeath you my mind, crafted with mispronunciation
sharing with those who owe me a xanthous soul

THROUGH THE LIFE

Through the life, I gift to you my genuinity.
I shall always be there with complete honesty.
My sparkling eyes and sturdy hands shall always extend reliability.
Even when not in vision always have faith upon my authenticity.
May the world say so, you never doubt my credibility.
So is the faith displayed by your mince pies.
Purest verisimilitude exists ever to keep togetherness entwined.
For, some ties travel through the stars and the sky!!

her lips lie metaphorical realism

she could not handle the truth
easier to live a lie
just the truth the whole truth nothing but the truth
does it still exist

when none believe reality its still truth
if all believe lies they are still falsehoods
authenticity captures facts that exist
cold hard facts metaphorically speaking

how do I substantiate its actual
is there a magic formular to follow
do I trust my instinct can it be misled
if its verisimilitude can I trust

being lifelike cannot be the whole answer
fakes can seem more actual than authentic
verifying requires a masters degree
some anomalies are true world or true life

says true fruit would they put fake fruit in the can
corporeality surely must exist
a physical body a truthful being
must be believed actual

Verisimilitude

Strange, after living so long apart
the things that resurrect the memory of your touch;
a vanilla-scented candle, the taste of Turkish coffee;
or the way flower petals graze my skin so softly;
the feel of waves beneath my feet,
the light of a parking garage…
the aching’s almost too much.

Sometimes I think I see you and set my eyes to follow after;
but it’s just ardor’s chimera, just a cruel mirage,
summoned by someone else’s laughter,
sounding from someone else’s street.

When I close my eyes the hundreds
of miles melt in my mind
to a single point in time.
We can’t see the water lap around us
but we hear its suggestions,
and sighing fold in on each other
like a glowing paper crane
nesting in the waters of the sky.

Once again I think I see your face--
the moon wreathed in penumbra--
And numbly grab a pen,
recording your ghost’s fading trace
in journals of sinew and cartilage.

Premium MemberA Shift To Realism

Over the confines of the cliffs
in a cloud of crystalline haze
in the midst of a tsunami of whistling

skyline shadows in golden amber
hues ooze into the ocean
triumph against craving

waves of fairy spirits
Pearl stone sparkles in sundrops

flying is my passion
I'm diving again
in a wide chasm

sapphire knitting
chromium marble light

optimums prime
upheaval toward verisimilitude
you and my floating rhyme

with an increasing susurrus
a gentle melody is heard

tonal fuzziness
reverberations of rainbow hues
a scarlet choir of classic lullabies

Adumbration

Midnight, bewitching hour
full of horripilation

Car door slam-bang
and the warble act begins

No,no, I scream inside
the verisimilitude of what will now ensue

I am a powerless protégé
a stand in for the only one who
could save me
but she doesn’t
either by ignorance
or choice

I sit in a chair
weeping in despair
inside aching
trying not to play in hedonistic
Unholiness

I disassociate my mind
saving me
from the actuality of the death
I so desperately need to leave

To an End
David J Walker

Carried in the wind
This lonely place
Carried to another land
Carried in the mendicants dreams
	of
The sojourn
of sovereignty
Nothing as it seems
A lonely outpost to defend
The verisimilitude to pretend
A commitment to resend
And then
	It
	Comes to
An end

Frames of Unnamed Memory
David J Walker

Flicker
	Faster
Each frame of a memory
Named or
	Unnamed
But still remembered

Verisimilitude
	Considered
Plausible
	Real

A semblance of pretense
The veneer
of an alternate allegory

I light a candle and pray
	Every Sunday
For the mercy of
A deep
        deep
             sleep

Divine Poetry

Divine instrument, is poetry
and only poetry with her magic vision,
who describes
the indescribable,
defines the indefinable,
exults the verisimilitude
of the simple, because
exceeds any limit
of the believable and the incredible
breaking the shackles
  of the mysteries..
Simplifying and demystifying
the obscurities by clarifying
any and all secrets
exposing emotional beauty
of poetry...!

This Time Around Is For Me

Traduced! Forgive but don’t forget is the adage
How can one heal whilst storing the ugly image?
It’s the lie entailed by cowardice…

So a mind, replete with forgiven but unforgotten
Turns irrational and presumes in verbiage rotten!
Imminently, bruises need a poultice…

Mired in all the untoward-pardoned-unforgettable
Eclipsed visages twist-taunt into the judge-mental
as he hammers over a ripped bodice…

Rage absorbed takes on a caliber hard to disown
Of a volcanic-type verisimilitude; shield unknown
under the buried-remembered, malice…

Nursed so long in remembrance, turns corrupt
Drinks in all the stored negatives to then erupt
in wanton caprice…

Surely, forgetting is requisite to forgiving,
for how is one to enjoy the present living?
Odious history’s peace…

Riding the past to fill moments in beauty
Memory retention is the declared reality
Enunciated with declining hubris…

Its signs are writ upon the seeker's heart,
yet still, the seeker cannot ken those signs
until his heart becomes exposed to light… ~Rumi

Man is oblivious to the notion of Life,
the peccant nature of his dealings.
Its signs are writ upon the seeker's heart.

A sybarite is often a slave to his habits,
leaving a huddle of vapid bonds in his wake;
yet still, the seeker cannot ken those signs.

Impervious to the unction being ephemeral
beliefs give his life some verisimilitude,
until his heart becomes exposed to light …

Premium MemberOn a Philanthropic Attitude

Here I am, waiting around for a topic
  How about 'Philanthropic?'
And I've got to have an attitude
Well, there's always good ole 'Gratitude'

O.K. -- Let's see: 'Philanthropic.' Hmm...
If the more you give, the better you feel
Then why not just give away the whole blinkin' deal?

I guess that won't work
'Coz then you'll need someone philanthropic
Who may have just moved away to the tropics

So, there are limits to Philanthropy
Though surely there are none to 'Gratitude'
At least, none that occur to this poet dude

Thank you, Merci, Cpacibo, un a Dank
There are even more in my language tank
Mutsamesk, Gracias, Obrigado, Asante and Tack...

To wrap up this off-beatnik verisimilitude
  Don't be over-philanthropic; you'll end up screwed
Now there's a zinger of a fine attitude!
