Premium MemberStrawberry Moon

Photo uploads of my photos, copying to poems are blurry, seemingly due to my tablet.

Last night I saw the strawberry moon
The last super moon of the year, this June

I just wanted to dance,
under the strawberry moon
Before it disappears, oh so very soon

I just wanted to dance,
under the strawberry moon
I'm still walking around
singing a night tune

Oh, sweet strawberry moon
step by step leads our way
Into the night we sway,
Oh, sweet strawberry moon

Beloved Blooms

I awoke to a garden of flowers,
A bouquet of words that blooms from within.
Expressions conceived, grown by spring showers,
A dream or a quest that yearns to begin.
As warm sunlight opens petals, I find
Words from a sonnet lead to desire.
Enchanted romance enlightens the mind
Growing a garden to bloom and inspire.
Colors of brilliance, and in every hue
Guide my muse in your scented direction.
Don't guild the Lily, as I adore YOU.
Your pleasant bloom is my sweet perfection.
Each poet blooms with their own unique flair
Within their bouquet of blossoms they bare.

The Awful Truth

An awful truth awoke,
it shook her head.

‘How awful’ she thought.
‘my life is stored away
in a cloud, in digital boxes,
in downloads and uploads
where I float as a head
smiling into my own mind.

When her husband
brought a cup of breakfast tea
she was far away from herself
chasing an unseen applause.

He kept the drapes closed
so that the light would not intrude
then shut the door quietly,
not wanting to disturb
the many images of her
that flickered behind
her darting eyes.

Dietetic Sweet Love

Diet, Sweet love...
      I'm indeed What i am:
     zero calorie style ...
     without sugar and
     almost without salt ...!
     If I look this way,tasteless,
     but I can say:
     I'm sweeter than honey ...
     If I'm half a lemon, I wish
be squeezed by you ... to be
     taken with savor ... to
     alter your heartbeat ...!
Come, come and taste me ...
you will taste it ...? crazy thing !
I will be your noble delight...
Cashew in your mouth ... !

Why Should I Blame Mobile Phone

Love to live in a digital world
To rap electronic gizmos has become unfurled
Here is my poem to pen my tone
Why should I blame mobile phone

Go on surfing to ponder world news
Frequent buffering make me blows
if the network is ever failure-prone
Why should I blame mobile phone

Downloads and uploads,I prefers to do
Thinking, what next to be in the Data queue
If the memory card consumption is unknown
Why I should blame mobile phone

Ever ready to peek new WhatsApp messages
Gradually switching to scrolling images
If excess indulgence makes me lazybone.
Why should I blame mobile phone

Watching videos on YouTube round the clock
Cannot go on ,Without a glimpse on tiktok
If Pressure on eyes make my sight worsen
Why should I blame mobile phone

With all wishes, happiness, friends and leisure
Still I find flaws in an electronic treasure
My conscience questions me in a halcyon
Why should I blame mobile phone.

Premium MemberCast the First Stone

To the cameraman who through your distant lense
sees one man with another's wife,
and clicks and silently uploads, to expose,
and so to make those lives implode.

Who do you see behind your shuttered home?
With wife away and children gone,
no prying eye save God's alone,
yet, still you pick and throw first stone.

To the journalist, seekings idle chatter
and thinks it does not matter to craft
your print for more damming slant,
that glint of gossip, that careful hint
arising from unguarded natter.

Let’s take a lense and see your life, alone,
and how you sniff that chalky line;
and while you pick and throw that stone,
drink just one more 'fore callng ‘time’.

To the editor who holds their coats,
while dreadful damming work is done,
do tell us how you treat your wife,
and your daughter, and your son?

Show us all, expose your lives.
Before you seek those speckled eyes,
look to the logs that are your own,
before you cast your wounding stone.

No Poem Is Lovely As A Tree

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.*
Each season's trees, a rare delight.
A stalwart friend both day and night.

Our home is built from strongest oak.
Our hearth billows with small branch smoke,
Warmth in winter by fire light.
A stalwart friend both day and night.

A Cherry waved with branch to me
While dancing in the breeze so free.
As blossoms in the spring took flight.
A stalwart friend both day and night.

The Banyon in the summer sun
That sheltered safe the sacred one,
It's limbs of shade a welcome sight.
A stalwart friend both day and night.

The maple I have saved for last,
It's autumn hues where my eyes cast
Reveals breathtaking beauty bright.
Of stalwart friend both day and night.

There's Lot In a Name

Combing hair in front of mirror,
a countenance is explored in nuance.
 "You are beautiful",...the whisper lingers,
An intent gaze, inhaled and endeared.
They say,.. I look like Marilyn, the celebrity diva,
the name lights fireworks, exciting elixir.
Compared for looks with a gorgeous star,
Oooh..the name then means a world to her.
The name weaves a vivacious bond,
A travesty of stardom boggles her mind.
Bombinating joys...flirting eyes of beholder
Breezing confidence in her life, an enticing name
permeates fragrance, a conjecture she believes.
Zooming selfies on Facebook uploads,..
likes counted, she fosters passion for that name.
The crimson name flatters glittering self-love,
as her soaring spirit reaches a starry heaven above.
Yes, mannequins yearn for assurance to survive
There's lot in a name,...
Perhaps Shakespeare was naive!!

Premium MemberTrapped

Dressed in pajamas and no robe
Out the back door she went
A bag of garbage in her hand
Grandson slammed door with intent

He'll lock Granny out its a fun game
She turns around; panic
sets in, a child alone; danger
Feelings like the Titanic

Think__ no phone, no key, can't leave,
not dressed, what can be done?
Stand back, put feelings aside
She will not be outdone_

Thieves break in so why can't I
Go walk around the house
Right now one thing for sure can not
totally lean on spouse

Memory uploads a good thought
One window will not lock
It opens wide without a hitch
No longer race the clock

This was about 16 years ago and I was a lot younger and more agile then but I found something to climb on and got in the window and fell in the house on the floor..I was scratched, bruised and sore but I got in where he was so he was not alone..Then I got to thinking about that broken window and they gave me feelings that were unsettled..We got that fixed though..Sara

WINTER HAIBUN (Afterword )

shapes spread statuesque

foliage in Winter clothes-

melancholy me

Hallow Eve to Candlemas, the sun now turning south,;November is
sombre,December dark,January,February cold and stark.Catkins litter the forest
floor, beeches shed their leaves galore.Gales melange the mix,as decay brings
nature's bionomics.Hexagon pointed stars move and shift ,into a patterned
powdered drifts.Rain filled days of slush and muck, webs on shards of gossamer
stuck.Twilight months in winter shade until the snowdrops metamorphise in the glade

All Alone

The day came, just like expected.
He had finally left her for someone else.
Many days and nights, she cried for hours,
Wondering just how she would make it without him.

As she went to bed alone, that night
She finally realized, her life had been destroyed
Feelings, were completely numb,
Nothing left in her heart, but a big hole.

She didn't think she'd ever be happy again.
She had a rough road ahead of her now
Wondered if she ever could trust another man again.
As she laid in her bed, that night.

Premium MemberFlowers of Tuscany-Fiori Della Toscana

Sunflowers turn slowly
to follow the sun.
They bow their heavy heads
when afternoon’s done.

What a golden vision
they share row after row
With deep amber faces,
their tiny seeds all aglow.

The summer breezes blowing
o’er the fields with warm air
Shares pride in a country
with its beauty so fair.

I smile in contentment
as I l leave old Italy
With a sea of them waving
good-bye to me.

Italian translation:

Fiori della Toscana

Solefiori ruotare lentamente
a seguire il sole.
Si inchinano le loro teste pesanti
Quando ha fatto pomeriggio.

Che una visione d'oro
essi condividono la riga dopo riga
Con facce profondo ambrati,
Loro piccoli semi tutto raggiante.

La brezza estiva che soffia
sopra i campi con aria calda
Orgoglio di azioni in un paese
con la sua bellezza così fiera.

Sorrido in contentezza
come ho l lasciare la vecchia Italia
Con un mare di loro sventolando
good-bye a me.

Our Park

Sublime winter wind
dripping icicles on the bench-
where we first met-
our first treasured kiss,
subtle and sweet-
just like the lake's frozen serenity
and the blue jay's soft hum
reminding us of our youth-
pure, adventurous,
no worry.
But even the bark now has faded
and our smiles eventually frown,
the haunted branches remind us only of what happened.
Even the blue jay now remains perked upon the crooked branch,
clinging for his life while the others flew south a long time ago.
Winter's kiss was now a curse-
never changing-
fixed time.
And this curse is my every day,
you're presence vanished,
leaving me in the cold,
on this half-frozen bench,
where the tree's roots reach
and the swans once danced-
heaven's clouds burden my torn soul
yet through all the misery,
all the memories we created,
I come here now to visit
I come here to feel you're comfort
they say your duties remain where you felt most at home
and with you it's haunting
our park.

Aphrodisiac

You do it for me, baby...

Cucumber Falls,
two sultry bodies gliding
beneath an emerald
waterfall...
chipped nail polish...deep
red...
nipple hard breasts...

Sailing at South Beach,
tossing our swimsuits into
the sea...
ultimate freedom...
my captain...

You know my fantasy about
sailors.

You're wild; you know that...?
But then, I am, too.

My bedroom, our haven...
dozens of white candles...
soft music...violet satin...and...
whipped cream...

We both acknowledge our
insatiable hunger.

You play guitar so well that
I become a puppy, licking
your devotion,

and if I cry, you become my
emotion.

You know, you've torn two of
my brassieres lately, but it's
okay...

You make me happy, baby.
