I need to write a poem;
That gives the reader Inspiration,
A poem of encouragement,
Not one of discrimination.

Uplifting words of comfort
To all, whatever colour or creed
Every human being receiving assistance,
In their time of need.

Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel
That is always there.
Find beauty in little things,
Found everywhere,

An exchange of smiles,
Will brighten the darkest of days
It may not change the situation
But help to keep your fears at bay.

The gentle touch of someone.
Who understands your plight,
A nod, wink or firm handshake,
Confirmation things will be alright,

Riches do not bring happiness,
There is no healthy comfort in Gold
Money spent unwisely
It can make you greedy and cold.

People who see beauty everywhere they look,
They are the richest by far.
They can express their emotions in books,
Their vision is well up to par.

Chef's, Artists and Poets, too,
Display their talents,
And share them with you
It is an artist's dream and desire
Their artistic efforts
Have inspired.

School Run

Do be aware, our highways and sidewalks, are covered with snow.
And this morning's weather forcast , is minus zero.
Despite this warning, of freezing rain and falling icicles.
Unwisely some folk, are already riding their bicycles.
As for those, and everyone walking, while crossing a road.
Do give way, and always remember to follow, the highway code.

Circle of Love and Self-Regard

CIRLCLE OF LOVE AND SELF-REGARD:

Here's now a real prevised time...
Some people only get you grimed,
Since you don't disclose your plans,
For them to know what's on your mind.
Even if you accept to at least opine,
You sagely do that through a mime.
And they see it as a very wicked blow,
That you opt and unpredictably throw.
Which makes them grow insanely cold.
Hence, they unwisely become your foes,
Who always try to kill your beautiful soul,
As they unnecessarily stand to oppose.

But they don't get to know your goals,
That you've kept in a well covered bowl.
Truly, as you work manificently to grow,
They assume you to be acting saucy,
Though you don't stay by being flossy.
Yet, whenever you decide to speak,
You're being tagged as a rebel on heat.
So it's good you've been able to decide,
To intelligently move in the best line.
With regard to your mind and heart,
By holding yourself deeply with trust,
In the circle of love and self-regard.

Destiny and the Muting of Scrutiny

Men fly The War-Plane of Mutiny
By querying their Destiny
And fly The Very Flag of Mutiny
When Destiny they mock with scrutiny
Vowing to no more drink Martini
Nor in other coolers harbor any tinny

Just like Britain can’t erase her felony
When Nigeria was her colony
One can’t A World of Monotony
Through ceaseless appearance in a ceremony!

Into it I read a mutiny
And a rebellion against Destiny
A Can-Never-Stop Glutton
Checking quarrels with his shirt button
Or a Decreed life of Celibacy
Fighting this with Ecstasy
Or even with The Slowest Immediacy …

Against Foreordained Destiny
We unwisely mutiny
With our Wise Scrutiny.

Depends On How You Want It

From me another gets a thing
Because he deserves something
And from me Absolute Nothing,
When he is eyeing Everything;
To the lustful her wished fling
At a fighter lesson-teaching swing
Such as boxers collect in a ring
And detached a feared wing…

And when insult in my ears ring
Dong-ended ding ding
And they displeasure bring
I try to Ease restore with Zing
Unwisely, I don’t to God cling
But wisely wouldn’t choose to cringe.

Premium MemberThe Jolly Man Unwisely - a Mini Parody

Parody of The Holly And The Ivy. I ran out of
steam after verse two, but I felt it still worked

                   *

The jolly man unwisely
for he was full grown
Of all the cheese that was in the fridge
Old Jolly wolfed it down

Then Mrs Clause said, ‘Santa
O how your breath does stink
If it’s a promise that you think you’re on
Then have another think’

Premium MemberI Am Desire

I am Desire

I have made some people happy

I have made others sad

Some people cannot handle my power

I am desire-

I am as hot as a ball of fire

I am as bright as a shooting star

I am as small as a grain of sand

I can be as enormous as a mountain- Desire-

Touch me- inhale me- incite me- capture

My essence

Love me- for I am desire-

Some people know what to do with me

Others use me unwisely-

I am yours for the taking

Men want to own me

Women pray for me

Some people embrace me- others-

Spread me across the plains

While others distribute me within the nations- Desire-

I have traveled through time and space- through

Generations and Race

I am older than humanity- older than thought

I have been around forever- I will be here- for eternity

For- I am Desire-

When We Fail To Appreciate Words of Wisdom

When we fail to appreciate the gift of words,
We act unwisely.

When we fail to appreciate the gift of speech,
We devalue it.

When we fail to appreciate the gift of the written word,
We write it off.

But when we fail to teach others the importance of these gifts,
We fail more than one generation,
And take away,
Their Hope,
Their passion,
Their dignity,
Their sense of joy,
Their sense of achievement,
Their ability to communicate,
Their ability to form relationships,
Their ability to earn,
Their ability to learn,
Their path to wisdom before they end up in an earn.

Premium MemberLittle Man

My Uncle Cladie rescued endangered squirrels
Nurtured his pets with exceptional love
When we visited the “Little Man”
He was happy to play
Chase with us for peanut rewards and quick cuddles
And never bit like some squirrels will do.

“Little Man” often raced across our shoulders, too
He would crawl under an arm for nuzzles
Very agile keeping away
Playing catch-if-you-can
We were always cautious to wear a leather glove
For sometimes the tamest squirrel quarrels.

Unwisely, “Little Man” ate some poison florals
Squirrels cannot eat the deadly foxglove
Not even a tame squirrel can
“Little Man” died that day
We mourned his passing, even his little puddles
And for weeks afterward we all felt blue.

Picking Through the Pieces

"All the little pieces,
fragments and crumbs of life."
 John Ruskin

The troubles, the love,
the fears and the spice.
Make us what we are today.
Show us where we went astray.

Genetics of course play a part.
wit, talent, mood and smart.
Your fist step into first love.
Those highs of emotion truly absurd.

Insecurities we gather and carry
inform who we should marry.
Too late the wisdom of age dictates,
who would have been the perfect mate.

Our little offspring pick up clues.
Some from me and some from you.
Unintentionally we guide them unwisely.
History repeating itself precisely.

Through it all true love prevails.
We have it in abundance, females.
Mother to child, friend to friend.
It's love in the end that makes amends.

Premium MemberWhat To Use As Bait

What to use as bait
What wouild catch him?
Compel him?
Inspire him?
Intrigue him?

Should she be herself
Or someone more daring,
More exotic, more lively?
She had some choices to make
She chose unwisely
Landed him

They married
And her real self came out
Lesson learned
Use your true self as bait
You may not want to catch a fish
Who has nothing in common with you

Fly Without Fire

Ruffles the feathers
holds the scruff of the neck
resembles the raven
disguise imperfect
subjects favoured
unwisely project
suspect flavour
returns the reject
correct behaviour
or disrespect
what flies lands
what lives dies
play your hand
calm and nice
avoid the stand
Do not go twice

Flower On Agrave

By the graveside

The flowers on a heap at the grave,
some given by love others out of duty.
Some with a grudge didn’t show up
as banal revenge of the pain from
the whip of her sharp tongue.
I found it difficult to comprehend that
my impossible mother was in a coffin
she had no respect of authority, spoke
her mind sometimes unwisely.
I saw she once slapping a police officer
who got so perplexed he walked his way
after threatening to arrest her.
She was an avid reader but never wrote
which was a pity she had much to offer.
She is still inside of my head and will be
there as long as I live.

Death of Comedy

The death of comedy
Freddy Starr is dead they say it was because
He smoked too many cigarettes, no one asked to ask why?
He was accused of making lewd remarks
To a young girl in i974, the case was dropped.
But unwisely Freddy sought redress in court, men often
Loses in cases that involve sex.
Freddy sold his house and moved to Spain he paid
Some of the million own but he was not that rich
And the gold digger was after more.
now they wanted his little house in Spain,
And as we know the too crowd know no mercy
Men are guilty by their masculinity, which is seen as a sin
In our times, so he died alone with his kitten and
The MEtoo harridans gloat.
