O’ Mother!, take me back at last, receive
—(unclasped arms as vast as mine)—my embrace;
this longing, laughing love, the proof and grace
of my abiding for your shores.—I grieve
the lasting loss that shear struck—do believe
my grave and groveling art of disgrace,—
when ten years had but barely found their place
in my life. As with you then, now I leave
behind the home I’ve called as such awhile,
and answer your unbroken imperative:
anew with you! once more to your sweet heart!
I—through my candid, unshadowed smile—
effervesce—(so this is what it means to live!)
a new part! a chance for a novel start!

I'm glad we're friends
You really do
Change my mood
To fresh and new
The strangest thing
My heart receives
Like sunlight for
Unshadowed leaves
I give you time
No chore for me
I think I would..
Eternally

Bring forth the heroes of today,
Stalwart soldiers armed with resolute aim.
To battle the forces laid against us,
Those destructors of worlds and minds.
Bring forth the principles of yesteryear,
Stitched upon a banner of truth and integrity.
Where the standard flies free for all,
Remaining permanently guarded and unwavered.
Bring forth the dreams of tomorrow,
Unshadowed by the darkness of the past.
A bright, hopeful beacon for the downtrodden,
To illuminate the path of possibilities.

This piece is my thought alone. If it upsets anyone good, because we women need to fight the internalized Patriarchy which has colonized our thought for thousands of years.
it has not always been
sisters are you clearing now
with tiny tin type tweezers,
the patriarchy that sits bone deep
among our apple flowers.
until we form our own thoughts
unshadowed by Adam’s folly
until in freedom are our choices made
far from misogyny’s rule
the tide will remain rolling in
a thoughtless flow of misbelief
about our very being
informed by patriarchic lassitude.
it is useless trying to explain,
no matter how fine the language,
the daily life each woman lives
in fear so deep it binds us
to definitions, not our own,
of what it is to be woman.
we have forgotten who we really are
but SHE has not forgotten us.

Magic breathes life in our hearts
Destiny resides in our souls
Our path now shimmers unshadowed by the night
With one embrace partnered by a tender kiss, the bounds
of time and distance crumble through fingers like drifting
grains of sand
Dream time is the place where I am alive
Green eyes ripple into lipid pools where miracles draw me
to your heart
I am free to swim by your side until the sun sets and
rises with you again
Life is my dream
I love you

The Dead poet---lord alfred douglas
I dreamed of him last night,I saw his face
All radiant and unshadowed of distress,
And as of old, in music measureless,
Heard his golden voice and marked him trace
Under the common thing the hidden grace, a
And conjure wonder out of emptiness,
And all the world was an enchanted place.
And then methought outside a locked gate
I mourned the loss of unrecord words,
Forgotten tales and mysteries half said,
wonders that might have been articulate,
And so I woke and knew that he was dead.

Lass,
Unblemished by submission,
Familiar beyond Miss,
Unshadowed your smile,
Your modesty of kiss,
Love's early morning -
Yet to come the sun-clear day.

I saw the Columbia rise today
Majestic through the skies
A fire burning burnt nothing away
A wingless bird before my eyes
And this ship that bears that name
Of the greatest captain who
Sailed abraod in Isabella's name
To find the ancient for new
Perhaps from a static station will see
The weary hearts of men yet
Longing for a richer pole of sea
Unshadowed by functlionless regret
For that small step in the dust of the moon
So long ago has not translated
Into the giant leap from debacle and ruin
As liberal dreamers anticipated.
Time against Nostradamus frenzy moves
Our little flesh ticking away
That Columbia better than Columbus proves
Life is only a dance away.
