Unsavory Lunch
A Bengal tiger has an uncanny hunch
That he'll encounter a tasty beast to munch
Finding an inedible Prey
with fear he roars go away!
Then runs to seek a more suitable lunch

Beware Thee the Unsavory, Unfettered Throngs
Beware Thee The Unsavory, Unfettered Throngs
When distant mystery has curdled the blue sky
The old hag cursed the earth and the skirt of rain
Dance girls danced lively, the others did not try
There was far too much heavy words and abject pain
From the outskirts there was much cold, cued applause
Over desert ocean, he vultures await meals
And the heroes celebrated their minor pause
As the banker cries for more yellow gold to steal
The beaded storm its wings flap with laughing anger
And Greek Gods had a party to stamp their gold seal
In the distant mountains, awaited grave danger
The Raven's rascals held out for a better deal.
Beware thee the unsavory, unfettered throngs.
For darkness lies within their old romantic songs.

Unsavory
Unsavory character;
Hasn’t decayed.
Worms wouldn’t touch him:
Below food grade.

Curse Words
We sing “Holy is thy name, O Lord,”
Yet attach it to every unsavory word
Then euphemizing, we say “gall-durn,”
It seems like we will never learn!
We pray “Hallowed be thy name,”
Forgetting our curses mean the same
We even go so far as to say “Holy Sh*t,”
And rarely consider what we mean by it.
I must plead guilty too often saying
Words that wouldn’t be fit for praying
And when I lose my temper, most often,
I spit out words like nails in my coffin.

An Unsavory Memory
An unsavory memory lurks
haunting her recessed mind
breaking out in a variety of day dreams
and one nightmare when she was eight
pushed back quickly
by society and socialization and religion
and her mother
Quiescent spirit lady with a white bustle
living in the far corner of her grandmother’s dilapidated shed
the one she was not supposed to be in anyway
unhappy, lost, bereft, holding out her hands
begging for some help
but she was only eight and frightened.
She ran with her heart beating so hard
she thought it might burst.
Guilt wafted in and out of her life for years afterwards.
She knew that her soul wanted to help the spirit lady.
Fear had kept her out of this shed for the past thirty-one years.
She opened the creaky door, seeing nothing but cobwebs
until her eyes got used to the dark.
I knew you would return for me, the lady said.
This time she walked right to her,
armed with knowledge that she could
steer her to Christ’s light.

Unsavory Sinners Touch- -
In touch with reality;
Worlds focus carnality;
Fondling things unsavory;
Raping human trafficking racing;
Git your eyes and hands off me;
I belong to a righteous King;
One who truly loves me for my soul;
Then I shall not darken nor enter;
My physical shell;
All other realities divisional;
Illusional things unsavory;
Mans sin choices, open hidden voices;
Thoughts of perversion there beautiful;
Worlds focus carnality;
Reality sinning touch as such
Unsavory sinner's touch

45's Unsavory Vagary
45's strategy is to deflect, deny and defy-
Setting fires all around the room
His chaos will bring his subsequent doom
Driven by his narcissisitic ego
This "Narsonist" must eventually go
Remember how his lies, name calling began-
The attacks waged, principles decried
Way too many obvious facts denied
Dismissed with vitriol and fake news
Promoting his unethical, dilusional views
His own party "Compliciteers" it seems
To his mean-spirited, abhorrent schemes
It will be no mistake, no fluke
When 45 succumbs to this nation's rebuke

Slavery and Unsavory
Slavery and Unsavory
Was quite a character and so unsavory;
Had heard his attitude towards slavery
Was let each on have life of their own;
A message from God caste in stone.
Treat with respect God simply did say;
When needing help never turn away;
With our minds what must we be doing?
About ensuing facts and their ungluing.
When much better we want world to be
Does it really require a certain ceremony:
More knowledge into mind must be feed,
And others in circles don't like to be led.
As in much heat shall start to swelter
Running here and there helter-skelter
Challenge you to do the same to me
So we will be a product of all history.
What should we have become a slave to?
And when whole day is finally through,
Never again will I ever be left alone
People will want my poems for their own.

An Unsavory Force
Listen ! Listen !
I confess I am
Captured by an
Unsavory force.
Talk tells
of my burdens,
anxiety is tearing
at my heart.
Strain appears
on my brow,
struggling to make
contact that is meaningful.
Caught in the trap
of my role,
the sounds I hear,
are the noises of addiction.
Deafening noises,
keep me distanced
from the very
heart of God.
Dulling noises,
Keep me from
honestly talking
about me.
Me in relationship
to Christ who is
more than able
to break this addiction.
