child has puffy eyes
welts on her legs
eyes cast downward
professionally guarded
refusing to talk
trusting no one
closed tighter than an encyclopedia
thoroughly indoctrinated
to not share family business
school staff is aware
tries to establish trust relationships
to no satisfactory end
child comes up missing
photo pops up on channel five news
body never found
spirit unrecovered also
a memory of a child
haunting school staff forever
A feast presented
Rainbow's revival
Yellows, pinks, purples
But colors cure blinds
Unrecovered eyes
Clinging wet clouds
Shadows over
Sovereign spring blooms
Laid at my feet
Sunlit touch
Does not salve
Winter's wounds
I see
Only
Blue.

All have been said and done
There is a missing link
All have been done and said
There is still a mystery
Filling in the missing words
Its not an easy task
What is been taken
Cannot be filled
What is been stolen
Cannot be left unrecovered
What is been given
Cannot be regarded as nothing
There is a sequence
That needs following
There is a promise
That needs to be kept regardless
There is a way
That needs to be found
To be standing so tall, broad as you do.
With your strength captured, hidden within dew.
Without respect, you protect many things.
Thou, inexistent, until siren sings,
When born, two men fell into your abyss.
Unrecovered, told now, in reminisce.
Now almost forgotten, you still hold back.
Thou will only be known upon your wrack.
