THE DAY THE STATUE OF LIBERTY CRIED
It was September eleventh two thousand one
A day the entire world was stunned
Two unopposed aircraft entered New York City
Leaving a trail of death without pity
Like missiles they hit the renowned Twin Towers
Reducing them to rubble in a matter of hours
The pilots who flew them had a mission to follow
Choosing to die just to please allah
They cared not a whit for the lives of others
They sought the praise of their Islamic brothers
At the cost of thousands of American lives
Their loyalty to allah became their prize
The revenge of American lives is yet unended
For fear that someone may be offended
The question is asked, what would we gain
While the blight on America still remains
Now ISIS has reared its ugly head
And two American journalists are dead
So acts of terrorism can't be denied
It began when the Statue of Liberty cried

Here i am whom you hurt,
Here i am whom you shunned away.
I am me whom you broke my heart,
Claiming you had found a better man
But here i am still standing strong.
I thought you could never do that,
And i gave all i had from my heart.
So harmless you looked like you could never hurt,
But now i know that anyone can break a heart.
But here i am still standing tall.
I didn't want it to stay unmended,
I looked for a 'fundi' to have it mended.
I thought my sorrow would remain unended,
But it left a mark when it ended.
For me happiness was what was intended.
Here i am with a heart like a lion,s
Which can break but never shatter,
Can lose hope but never despair,
Can cry but never break down,
Can be mocked but never to anger.
Here i am who never had the thought,
That the rose of love was this thorny,
That it could prick anyone,
Not necessarily anywhere
But not everywhere
Only there.

Through the mist meandering
The years forgotten come
Like a lonely river wondering
Into a bay frozen and numb
In the winter's chilly blowing
In the bright and frigid sun
In the hearts unended longing
We are not cured or done
But the thought is not apprehended
Until you remember me
And our vows again are blended
Into love's felicity.
By the quiet morning marble gleaming
Where seasons go and come again
My hope on its silence leaning
Carry the panacea of pain.

I looked back...skipped lightly over years
until I met you again. My step bounded
and flew from star to star, as one nears
a universe of fire. Gasping young, I rounded
a planet suspended
as time and
eternity spoke unended
in rhyme.
I looked back...tripped lightly over seconds
of love with you again. My heart breathed
and throbbed from word to word, as one beckons
a memory unfolded
as life and
death met embolded
in rhyme.

A synopsis untried, a life unended
The wheel spins as the days protract
A look at the mirror surrounding the dire
I feel my soul, my life and my being
Each day that I be
Each moment that I see
Fundamentally I decree
Knowledge be'eth my surrender
Yet self provoked it opens adventure
Lies and deceit, the dacoit he knoweth
So infinite and atomic
Indefinate to us all
Supposed awesome wonder at his behest
Quality awaits this unfathomable test

sometimes when we ponder for a long while
we tend to drift away
away into a wonderland; away across the sea
and there they are waiting to take you on a ride
across a wide, vast ocean; winding and deep
and when we reach the other side
our journey unended
bringing to the openall who live there
strangely it's familiar yet you've never seen it
yet a feeling deep inside brings you closer
and you never want to leave there
undisturbed but restless
though sooner or later we all go back
to the other side of the ocean wide and vast
and all who live there go and hide
as you reach the other side
and once returned you tend to try
to make your way there again
but know you will;
once memmory gone
an unexpected ride into the land
of an unbroken dream
