Through the Mist

Through the mist meandering The years forgotten come Like a lonely river wondering Into a bay frozen and numb In the winter's chilly blowing In the bright and frigid sun In the hearts unended longing We are not cured or done But the thought is not apprehended Until you remember me And our vows again are blended Into love's felicity. By the quiet morning marble gleaming Where seasons go and come again My hope on its silence leaning Carry the panacea of pain.

A melancholy, somber, yet lovely poem. You have captured a winter morning, and the memories of passing time. Another beauty. ~ Carrie

There is expressiveness and descriptiveness in this one with a good flow. Keep the creative and magical pen flowing. Sara Soup Mail
