Undemanding Poems

Premium MemberCan There Be

Can there be
And can there be
Some place where
Sin slides not
Into my thoughts
And interrupts
The good that God has sent.
Some comfortable path
Of undemanding toil,
No steeps, no heaps,
To navigate at night
But easiness
From first to last?

I tried this way and that
But glory not as promised,
Nor comfort as was said
But troubles,
Disappointments,
Anxious thoughts and fears,
Excluded hopes of peace.

But then -
But then -
I saw the Cross,
The empty Cross.
I thought at once of Jesus,
The peace he came to bring
Through death and resurrection.
Hallelujah!
He’s my living King!

Worth Saving

Never be bewildered
That my instincts submerged
In the malevolence and
Dearness of the world
Could have been reinvigorated
By you, saved and renewed
Just like a resurging lep
When the latter opts out
I am created of giant solid rocks
Stationary but mutable
And you the damp feel
Of winter fur lies
Songs of fresh breeze
Declines as cascades
And my lyrics being lawns
Of undulating grass
Silent chirps and murmurs
I expected less but asked nothing
That deep undemanding tenderness
I gravely wish to offer a little space
To achieve my dreams in yours.

Premium MemberThrough the Years

It’s a heart who hurts
When someone takes the easy way out,
Leaving behind a love, a hope
The beautiful in a song, a star, a silent
Joy that inspires the greatest light

It’s a soul who aches
When someone decides to let go,
Leaving behind the wonders,
Blessings that colored the life in good,
Whispering faith only love understood

It’s a spirt who suffers
When someone learns it is easier
To give into the comfort, the undemanding
So that there isn’t any giving from the inside
Where God brings the greatest feelings into being

It’s a life who grieves
When someone refuses to hold on
When the heart and soul become lost
Among those things that are less important,
The empty promises and worthless doubts, the futile

It’s a love that agrees
When someone decides to believe
In tomorrow with an open heart, a gentle hope
Who struggles through the sorrows, wipes away tears
And remembers that real love will last throughout the years!

Transgenders

In a world that clings to rigid forms and norms,
A struggle stirs beneath society's gaze.
For souls who bear a truth that deeply transforms,
Transgender hearts navigate uncharted ways.

Within the depths of self, a battle fought,
To match the outer shell with inner truth.
They brave the judgment, hatred often sought,
Their courage shines, resilient through abuse.

From questioning to blossoming in grace,
They face the fear and doubts that others sow.
Each step a testament to strength and space,
Their journey, like a river, starts to flow.

Let's stand beside them, hearts compassionate,
Embracing diversity, love innate.

Together we shall forge a world anew,
Where gender's spectrum blooms, accepted, free,
With empathy, compassion ever true,
We'll build a future where all souls can be.

For transgender lives, the struggle's real,
Yet their resilience and beauty will prevail,
In unity, let's voice what they conceal,
And let their stories guide us, never fail.

Let's champion justice, love, and understanding,
Creating a world that's safe and undemanding.

In empathy, we'll walk this path as one,
Supporting trans lives till freedom's truly won.

Things to do in 2022
Breathe in – breathe out
Listen more – talk less
Pay attention
To the needs of the undemanding
Look people in the eyes
(it’s all you can see nowadays)

Breathe in – breathe out

Curb my dog – and my tongue
Soften my sharp edges
Trim my nose hairs - frequently
Tell people I love them
Even though they know it
Stop arguing with inanimate objects
And

Breathe in – breathe out

All things have fallen to the wayside
And I cannot bring myself to go beyond the front door

The coffee table is messy with unopened mail
And haphazard cigarette ash

Dusty knickknacks are silent and undemanding
Each with its own place on the shelf

The past is nonsense, the present is nonsense
This life makes no sense

Breathe in breathe out don't breathe
Death is the only sensation ... cessation...

Flow Together

• We don't have to be overly loud… We don't have to be ratchet… We can make Our voices heard… Amongst One Another, let's bury the hatchet… Let's join hand wills and the bond demand… Let's up meet that, as together, WE stand. There's only Greatness to come, if WE just attempt… To not ever try, is the only fail. One smiles toward another as a gesture of respect… What's the ill look for? Then be so happy and eager to grin in… The other faces… Not painted or in likeness of One's own traces. (Sigh) Eye extend Self to step up and say with depth… that… Eye love you and there's no way, I'd ever give up! With understanding, undemanding, yet persistence. Knowing firsthand the struggles and images we've been given. Not to remain stagnant and stuck in the same… Chasing of waterfalls and standing the rain… That's not Our drive and best option. Going ahead to it, with tenacity and final action. Easier said than done? Thou can choose… not to use it… it only holds one back. We're soaring forward and higher, without feeding One's slack… feelings of inferiority and the need to fit in… to become consumed, upon feeding trend.

Premium MemberAnd So It Begins

And so it begins, my fusion into love's shadows,
Shadows having been placed there by that one power
Ruling over Earthly existence, as if, it knew
That without it, life would simply be as good and as
Undemanding as in paradise!

And so it begins, the merging of our hearts,
With desires potent enough as to have fumes
Emanate from the nothingness that we create
When, after merging, we get sucked up by the universe
Another mysterious power, wanting solely
To have us both back there, where we dwelled
Once, before disaster struck!

And so it begins, magnetic poles get reversed,
Seas wreck the lands,
Humans hardly behave as that which they are
Flowers, suffocated, die painfully while shedding tears
And the moon gets absorbed into the sun's deadly fire!

And so it begins, my fusion into love's essence,
Dissolving the shadows into clarity
So that, at last, love breathes into my teary face,
Thankful at having passed the test imposed upon us both,
By that one power, ruling over Earthly existence!

Not Burdensome

not burdensome
not draining
uncomplicated
undemanding
painless
smooth
effortless
newness
freshness
not the same
better then the other
why can't it be as ease
with the one that i long for
why can't it be as smooth
with the one i desire
no matter how hard i
try it will never be as
effortless with the one that
holds my heart in their had

Premium MemberPursuing Holiness

Oh my God! Help me find understanding!
And not just of Yourself, also Man,
Let me search for the truth, undemanding,
Or in seeking self-worth in your plan.

Help me see life on Earth with Your values,
Guide me where I should be with Your heart,
Make “to walk in Your way” my decision,
And the servant’s role most favored part.

Let humility grow to be gifting,
And in service discover rewards,
May my poems be read as uplifting,
And life’s symphony heard in their chords.

Let me honor Your Son with each day’s break,
And His name be a rock for my prayers,
May I be faithful witness for Love’s sake,
And reveal Him in all my affairs.

And when night comes, at last, let me thank You,
For the times that You stood by my side,
Mystic ingénue, pursued by Christ's love
May His love for me be all my pride!

I Have Heard These Words Before

I have heard these words before

I have heard these words before,
Though spoken not in spite,
But in care for me:
“I know her story”, “You deserve better”.

But how does her story matter to me?
True, it shapes her; it forms her core,
Colours her judgment, fuels her fears.
Yet she chased me, until I caught her.

And is not this all that matters?
That she once showed love to me,
And tried, yet failed,
And could not sustain that love?

How should I deserve better?
Why should I deserve more than she;
And have affection and caring,
More so than she, who has none?

I have heard these words before,
And ask myself “What is better?”.
Can “better” bring more happiness?
Is another story any more acceptable?

But am I ignorant, and know not
Of her story, her real story?
And if I did, would it difference make,
And would I love the less?

If my eyes see goodness,
Should I not then respond in kind;
If I see affection and trust,
Should I not respond in kind?

And when she flees and is silent,
Do I deserve better?
Or do I give what love demands,
And be there, constant, undemanding,
Hopeful of an uncertain future?

And does not she deserve better?

Premium MemberA Distant Song

I sometimes,
     through the noise of disaffection,
     hear a distant song,
with soothing comfort in its embrace,
a calling reminding in its humanity,
an echo of peace once owned
     but pawned for transient needs.

Its undemanding lyric beckons without command,
     reasons in metaphors
     and smiles knowingly with intent.

     From fading vision,
     its sound grows dimmer,
even as its need grows stronger.

Would if only I could join in its refrain.
Its melody might resonate in needful spirit
     to mend this weary heart
     and return the memories
of why I scaled its notes.

Own It

Innocence has its travails of
Losing the true identity of
Being touchy versus being sensitive.

I ruined many beautiful moments
Forsook my joys to reel in entanglements
Of lively public bantering as being abusive

A mild joke was a jab of cold heartedness
Brooding for days over the other's rudeness
Undervaluing true love by being hyperreactive

I left old love for foreign shores
Not on basis of personal wars
But reasons much more elaborative

Long distances and free of heart
I downsized my kiddish touchiness as advert
My heart became ruminatively introspective

I realised no man could live up to his demeanour and heart
A reversal of attitude transformed me with better art
I pined for his undemanding nature, now so laudative

I returned with a list of do's and dont's in my small fist
Loaded with more love for my compulsive humorist
Being a little calmative, relationships become more attractive

Female Migrant

The Female Migrant
A customs official found a suitcase with a forgotten
Syrian refugee lady in it, he took her home blew life
into her and he was no longer alone.
Bought her sexy underwear skirt and blouse and
a bicycle pump and no longer did he bother going out
drinking beer with his fellow officers.
A perfect little refugee she was so undemanding
and silent not for her to turn her back complaining
of a headache and other female ailments.
After wild night they had done it five times, she had
she had shrunk a morning there was a tear somewhere
in her vulva, that could not be repaired or glued.
With manly logic, he blamed the refugees swamping his
country living off the fat of the land doing nothing and
thus, a love story ended on the scrap heap of humanity.
