Tunnelled Poems

Sybarites

Ideal citizens, you.
Dreamed-of private individuals,
With villas and servants.
Feasts, travels, lavish meals,
And drugs at the disposal of life.
Bravery is tiring,
Easier is indulgence,
Though it does not fill the belly.
With luxury you melt in saunas,
With androgyne butterflies.
And then, in the mighty air-conditioned
halls of Sodom,
you offer your seed
to Sterfos,
the tunnelled demigod.

Tunnel To The Soul

i find myself lost in a crowd.
i see a distant memory gaze by,
everything falls silent even when this place was so loud.
i tried to keep moving on past it,
but now i find myself seeking that place.
i have tunnelled too deep,
we now stand face to face,
i am gazing down the tunnel to her soul.
as the tunnel peers back at me shinning like the stars in the night sky, dragging me deeper into the hole.
time stops and reverses back to the eyes i once knew,
as i stand here,
i then hear a whisper in my ear,
the words spoken reverberating around my head trying to dig a way out.
they soon find themselves trapped along with me in the tunnel to her soul.
i don’t feel the need to scream or shout,
because to be truthful in those eyes,
i know that is where my heart forever lies.

Sequoia

Born to a land unspoiled and free
The mighty sequoia was on the ascendancy
Ancient elders stood erect and proud
Free from threats to pierce a cloud

Out of nowhere came a destructive presence
Little creatures with a cold, dark luminescence
So naive to think I’d thrive forever
Not anticipating this new dawn of endeavour

They tunnelled through a living tree
Without any care for his dignity
A gaping hole in a living creature
Then they drove machines through their latest feature

I’ve seen great change, seen it all
Seen them rise and felt us fall
They now stand before me, danger’s afoot
A sense of inevitability as they deepen the cut

Suddenly, I begin to tilt and sway
Never to see another earthly day
Then I creak, crack and splinter
This old giant has had his final winter

My brothers and sisters silently scream
Man has taken me down, a familiar theme
They have risen to conquer this vast frontier
Now I’ve sadly succumbed to the tip of their spear

Love's Lane

Our desires have brought us together,
Fate has brought us from our different worlds,
We have brought our disparate dispositions to a focal point,
We have intertwined our interests.

We have meandered and mended,
We have straightened and salvaged,
We have tailored and trimmed,
We still sojourn on this hope’s path.

Sometimes love’s lane could be clouded,
Sometimes love’s lane could be shrouded with stygian silhouettes,
Still, our love tunnelled through,
Its light found a place for our feet.

We have sailed tempestuous seas,
We have journeyed through the shrivelled meadow,
Our room has had its share of gloom,
Yet our love’s lane has emerged from the quagmire.

In quest of true love I tunnelled my way to other side,
But unseen forces had moved my love to another side!

Flower gardens no longer bloom where she does not reside,
Wilted flowers weep her absence to guide me to her side!

I hover around like moth amongst flowers that have died,
looking for myriad blossoms that would be lover side!

amidst devastation wrought by thieves of my tender bride,
I see blossom of flowers wave in breeze to point her side!

With the courage of true love and speed of a power ride,
reach island blossom! awake from my dream, next to her side!

In perfume of love, romantic whispers deliver tide,
barren is life if lived without love! Krish, stay by her side!

Pentapolis Revision 2

PENTAPOLIS

GAZA.
From this small clearing he won’t move
into the ligneous shades of dark,
fixed stillness in his day’s aubade,
all circled there by timber spars.
ASHKELON
At times a bright lit path appears
so then he’s tempted to explore.
ASHDOD
Yet just one brush against those spars
and then small folk come tumbling down.
EKRON
Hate filled, from stilts they fall to ground.
GATH.
Here their delusions lose the light,
around them only spars they see
bearing the clan with tunnelled sight
that trample virtuosity into a pulp
where arts confined to narrow paths this
modish time.

Emerald Waves

Emerald Waves

                                                 emerald tides rise
                                     boatmen hold breath while tunnelled
                                               swim out holding bark

In the Tunnelled Aoth

I can ask for you to spare me a thought
But you can never spare me your heart
What matters to people like us the most
Is the demon of contempt we host

Our emotions are skeletons
On the face, an old museum of sorts
Wrinkled, numb and void of all feeling
We display decay, without any hope of healing

Corrosive, instead of faith runs through our vanity
Poisoning all the connecting veins of humanity
We have formulated the chemistry of a fear
To bleed the residue of pain with a drop of a tear

Love does not lie, it is upwardly mobile
Sometimes we miss it in our hassle and bustle
Looking for the meaning of life in the tunnelled aoth
Much like us, it never stops searching for the truth

Premium MemberFroggy the Cow - a Nonsense Verse

He hatched from an egg, Froggy the cow,
He sometimes barked, or purred ‘meow’
On May 37, the month of Noctember
He tunnelled inside, and went into slumber

Premium MemberAmidst My Futures Past

For what purpose after purpose do we come and go
Entering from utopia whilst life bestows
Sharpened corners lacerate living skin
Unknown of it's actions that happen within

Reflection to selection ones choice is made
To deliver one from breathing with the help of a blade
Elation to relief in translucent surround
Whilst my crimson flows without a sound

Weakened ripples run as I feel myself drain away
Another statistic, on just another of my days
Tunnelled tired eyes in tearful strain
As I turn my light to black, my living no longer reigns

Look at me I'm nowhere to be seen
Drifting in time as if in a long lost dream
The soul of I amidst the futures past
We are born to die not one of us lasts
