Inhabited pain,
Cannot be given to others;
It’s never transferable.
Self inflicted pain
Can only reside in self:-
It is yours to bear.
Residential pain
Is not beyond eviction:-
Inject peace and love.
Self-loneliness blinds—
You cannot hide from yourself:-
That shadow is you.
Ask, seek, and listen—
There is a knock at your door:-
God comes for the pain.
Pain is healed with love;
Where love is pain cannot be:-
Love one another.
Healing together—
One for all and all for one
Onederful onement.
Let's always praise God
For the trinity oneness
Of His supreme love:-

Breathless a wave of shock.
A slight stumble over tumble weed.
A drop, a fall.
A scream, a stone, a mirror
And I see,
A reflection of someone else
Not me
Fainted, now I hear voices around me,
Surrounding me
An ambulance, a siren
A wave of local people beside the road
Being ordered to disperse
I am now carried away.
On a flimsy transferable bed
I see the sky a dusty shade of blue.
I pass a body, a few.
I can see the plan so carefully laid out before me.
So, what went wrong?

He’s a young old man as he
Shambles down the street
With his thousand yard stare so
His eyes and yours seldom meet.
Some times he’s sober
Sometimes he’s not
Sometimes it depends on
How much money he’s got.
And he tries to keep smart,
Keep a shine on his shoes
And he fights like hell
To keep off the booze.
And his bottomless eyes
Hide the things that he’s seen
In service of his country,
In service of his Queen.
Respected in his regiment
He knows not to expect
Consideration for his rank
Or much civilian respect.
Just an old soldier
Ruined by his trade
Wracked in despair by some
Of the calls that he’s made.
And you walk in freedom
Because of him and his kind
While he’s on the scrap heap,
Guilt and despair on his mind.
Trained to obey and
If necessary to kill,
In civilian life
Not a transferable skill.
Spare him a thought
The next time he walks by:
There but for fortune
Could have walked you or I.
A young old man wracked
By what he’s done and seen
In the service of his country,
In the service of his Queen.

The transferable tourist
The old ship striped like a rusty zebra
one, that has survived the big storms and attacked
by sea monsters how she still floated was a mystery.
From one obscure port to another, her captain had
forgotten how it felt to be sober.
She was like an old horse that knew its way by instinct.
Offloading clandestine crates, rats in the cargo hold.
When did the vermin come, and what was their destiny?
Morning in La Plata, tonight we will go ashore
in Buenos Aires eat fresh meat and dance the tango

The Bug
Is Love a compulsion, the sudden idea that this person,
no others, will meet all your need and make you happy.
It is a moment, falling in love only happens once when
you are among the blessed and anointed by the gods.
For some, the illusion lasts a lifetime for others it falls
at the first hurdle of familial tediousness.
Luckily love is transferable you meet someone else who
will make you happy but it will not be the same as first
time, no matter how many times you try to love, is a gift
only given once, the rest is repetition

THE DARK LINE
when I woke there was a tiny rim of darkness
right around the rising sun
a warning that my feet
should not touch the floor today.
but if I told my boss
I dare not leave my bed
he'd call me a fool
another greedy soul
will put his name upon my desk
but if he did
perhaps the dark line would follow him today.
his children would lose their shoes
his taxi would not arrive on time
his wife would file for divorce
his garbage disposal would eat a spoon
his pants would tear as he sat in a conference
I peeked under the curtains just before the alarm declared true morning
the dark ring had disappeared behind the glow of the sun.
the miseries were non transferable--
and much better than yesterday.

A business is clever, handsome and polite.
Linguistic, apologetic but tactics are behind.
Mathematically and politically he is honest mind,
Dramatics, gymnastics and generatic bright.
Pleasant, tranquil, psyche psychometrics bite,
The bourgeoisie possessive and proletarian prodigal,
Lucrative, ludicrous, resumable heroics skill,
Personable, arguable and a desirable diet.
Forcible, flexible and fund raiser responsible,
Likeable, sizeable and an unshakeable height,
Referable, preferable and transferable mongrel,
Credible, reproducible and decisionable slight.
Expressible, risible and a sensible detail.
Challengeable, achievable and demonstrable kite.
