Traffic Light Poems | Examples

At The Light

When driving the car
approaching a traffic light
it has often been seen
both day and night
what does green mean
here's the plan
for better or worse
drive as fast as you can
then red and amber
if you will
put the foot down
even faster still
and when it turns red
don't dare to dwell
or stop dead
but go like a bat out of hell

Life A Traffic Light

Life is like a traffic light
One may go, one may stop
To avoid life destruction
If all are going find touble
If all full stop life is dull
Traffic light makes you wiser
You can stop, look and listen
The intersection is busy all the time
For peace people follow the law
The light proceed which way it goes
Decide which path you follow
Happiness is a give and take process.

Traffic Light

To this traffic light
I laugh, I weep, I sigh and
Then, I walk away.

Premium MemberOde To a Traffic Light

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light
Why do you keep me waiting so.

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light
With your red light glaring and your ominous glow.

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light.
Do please hurry, I'm going to miss my show

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light
Time passes so slowly, as I await your green signal, to go.

Jesus at the Traffic Light
By David J Walker

It turns out that my
Atheists friends were all wrong
Jesus is real
And he hangs around
on a cross-town traffic light
Over the bricks laid by prisoners
In the streets of our long-ago downtown

Watching the Salvation Army
Marching the hungry children
Stopping for a taste of his blood
And crumbs of bread from his beard
Feed my sheep he said
	Feed my sheep he pled
The light changed and
	He was gone

Traffic Light Disaster

As soon as I ran that red light, I knew that our fates were sealed.
Because of my carelessness and stupidity, seven people were killed.
When I crashed, my wife and two children were killed instantly.
So were the people in the other car and it was all because of me.
It is horrible when people meet such a terrible fate.
When people think about me, their hearts are probably swollen with hate.
After the crash, I died two hours later on the operating table.
Somehow I made it to Heaven and I'm amazed that I was able.
All seven of us were sent to Heaven because of the fate that we were dealt.
Everybody might've survived if we had been smart enough to use our seatbelts.
The fact that I made it to Heaven proves that God has great mercy.
Only I deserved to die, I hope that people will eventually forgive me.

Traffic Light

Traffic Light

An empty city street, late at night
There’s nothing but a traffic light

Turning red to green to yellow to red
An endless cycle going on in our heads.

There are four directions that you may choose
You have no guidance, don’t look for the cues

You are on your own now, make a decision
Time is running out, you need a position.

In life, we are too rushed, like we are at a light.
We wait and wait until the time is right

Until our once enough time has run out,
And we are stuck at the beginning overwhelmed with doubt.

But I would rather wait for the perfect turn
Than rush into a decision and crash a burn.

In a road of life,
Love will pass our way.
No matter how far or near,
Our journey lead its way.

It takes a sign to follow,
as we go through our trip.
The signal of what must do,
when love has end its glitz.

Yellow served as a warning sign.
That tears and pain will soon abide.
A warning for us to be strong.
as sun shine will soon aglow.

Soon red sign will be lit,
A time for us to stop and think.
A meanwhile pause to endure the pain,
To admit that love has gone away.

And green light will be followed.
Reminding us to move ahead and life goes on.
No matter how painful the wound it caused.
The road of life still has purpose.

Don't be afraid to love and lost,
It's part of a journey in a road we crossed.
Just keep in thoughts what matters most,
We live and love utmost.

Harsh
Sunlight
From the car
In front of me
If not for sunglasses I couldn't see
