Time Value Poems | Examples

Time and Value

In the grip of Time, a silent flow,
From Roman days to Gregorian glow,
A dance of clocks, a crafted frame,
A social construct, a human claim.

In the realm of Time, where moments wane,
A social construct, we seek to gain.
From Roman roads to the Gregorian call,
We build our order, yet stumble and fall.

Power we chase, in the currency of money,
Yet what is it worth if life isn’t sunny?
In the mines of existence, we toil and we sweat,
Digging for precious metals, our value upset.

Education shines like the brightest of gems,
Illuminating paths, breaking down stems.
Yet the heart of the matter lies deeper than gold,
In the minerals of wisdom, true stories unfold.

It's up to us to remember, as we strive and we seek,
That the true worth of our journey is not just the peak.
For in each fleeting moment, through struggle and strife,
Lies the beauty of time, the essence of life.

Longa in English means a musical note with a time value equal to two or three double whole notes: In modern notation, a longa is usually represented as semibreves tied across two measures.
I might change “in longa” to maestra in the future for a teacher who is always tired, lol.

Too Precious, Too Short

The dying know the time’ value all too well,
Know how precious a second is once it’s turned an hour.
The last words and self-forgiveness’s power,
Don't hold on to those who are meant to solely pass you by,
don’t call the lesson they were there to teach you a lie.
Don't wish harm upon anyone who couldn't stay,
be gracious, and send them with love on their way.
Life is too precious, too short to carry the agonizing hate.

You Take Me Higher

I love a boy with soft eyes and a lost soul
The one that makes me feel
Like I'm never alone.
At home when I'm in your arms
After the storm you're my calm.
You put me back in the clouds
That's where I am with you around..
It's the place where I rest my head on your chest
Falling asleep to your voice is the sweetest gift.
Like waking up to a new day
Your startled heart, beating in my ear
As your alarm makes us both jump..
We smile and I cuddle back up to you
Five more minutes is worth more than it's time value..
You look like how the sweetest cologne smells
Filling me up til my lungs expel, a smile onto my face..
With you is my favorite place.
We can build a castle in the sky, wasting time..
Swimming in eachothers eyes.
I will be your cup of tea, you'll be my variety..
We can have everything.
And when the sands of time bring death about
We will die but I have no doubts
That in the end we will still fly
And live in our castle up in the sky.. ~

Picked Value

Each morning you get up,
What do you hanker for,
Something of value,
Off course or on,
Otherwise the life is waste,
You want food of your like,
Fun that you do not dislike,
People who do not spike,
Money which come anyway despite,
Easy living in short for least effort,
The moment you see value,
You stop and measure competition,
If required you fight,
For the "right bite",
What do you get when you have the value,
For how long do you enjoy it,
It is ephemeral,
And temporal,
With time value recedes,
And it is only an also ran,
Now you are hankering for another value,
To me you appear like a rag picker,
Wandering streets for his value.
