In the time of martyrs

My heart is racked with so much pain
For one who garnered admiration and disdain
A man whose love for country did outpour
A man who loved his Savior more
His values went against the grain
He stood for all that’s moral and sane
His calling? To proclaim the truth
To ignorant and misguided youth
He taught God’s love and never hate
But his political incorrectness sealed his fate
A fiend of hate from the party of love
Was ready to kill when push came to shove
He was far too evil to agree to disagree
So he shot Kirk dead before his family.
From the party of love came nothing but cheers
Validation, threats, mockery, and jeers
Because tolerant is a wonderful thing to be
Lest it is a truth for which you disagree
But what can you expect these days in the West
Where only degenerates truly know best?
Where the only approved speech is shibboleth
And penalty for speaking the truth is death
Farbeit that Kirk will die for naught
There is still a holy war to be fought
No matter the cost, I will be brave
For the only place for the righteous is the grave.

Premium MemberIn Time and Tides

Draco (flourished 7th century bc) was an Athenian lawgiver whose harsh legal code punished both trivial and serious crimes in Athens with death—hence the continued use of the word draconian to describe repressive legal measures.

In moves of time and tides upon the Earth,
when leaner seasons came, tyrants ruled.
Such given power was destined at their birth,
and with their words they had the people fooled.

Food, jobs and money sometimes, often lacks,
allowing selfish souls to take the reign,
spewing draconian threats of dire attacks,
blaming scapegoat-others caused the pain.

The tyrant's plan is fed on strict control.
For a missing trust of people deeply dwells.
The hardened walls of this heart have grown cold,
as genocidal schemes of hatred swells.

We know of many a draconian face,
Mussolini, Stalin and Hitler - only a few.
History and time will bring others to replace,
and they will come with, hard hearts, all anew.

Draconian forces somehow don't last.
When things are unfair the people resist.
That is the lesson we've learned from the past.
Over potent power soon does not exist.

A point of time alone I mark,
And shine it best I may,
And plant brave flowers upon the way,
Before I must embark.

Pawn Shop Blues

Were you saved
from yourself
before first being born
Form without
matter
praise without scorn
Were you part
of the promise
not taking the vow
When time
was a servant
not death on the prowl
Did life stay
unbidden
when freedom was free
As daylight
till dusk
no I’s came to be
Did morning
chase daylight
unable to stop
The evening
and twilight
on sale to be bought
As the first step
was taken
the second disowned
The first cut
the deepest
— with nothing on loan

Premium MemberThe Ticking Man

Like a time bomb ready to explode
What be a man except what is washed away
Like a wave beats the ocean sands
Change of time can change whole man
Soul in search of itself what does it see
Despair of a journey that makes his strength
Or the demise of life he finds his grave

It is of the heart beats our breath
Spiritual being like all species with purpose
What is beauty that love does not exist
What is a man if not themselves thrive to be
Is one not dead in their depths darkness appears
Battle of good vs evil which you choose
Lost in misty fog, what light be your inspiration

Belief to his existence finds trouble trails
But he gives not up his strive to breathe
Reaching in, ticking man; just a second of a gasp
Awakening, sea of stars filled with dreams
Light on the waters beneath moonlight beam
Heavens open door shinning light from within
Ti cerco, watching behind dark eyes sleeping
Jesus keep me near the cross my cries
I'm just a man whose time is ticking away

Premium MemberCherish The Time You Have Left

Cherish all of that which you have now,
For at the ends of all shared roads
Memories become tears below your brow,
Each event impelled by Earth's lunar nodes.

Cherish all of which is secretly promised,
For at the end of all of this journey of life,
You'll realize how you were always blessed
Even in darkest days of turmoil and strife.

Cherish all of what you once had,
For in the very end you'll see it all again,
Flashing through moments you were glad,
Realizing your light outweighed your pain.

Cherish all of what you desire now,
For there is only so much of the journey left,
Indulge, inspire yourself no matter how,
Enjoy the pleasures you were once bereft.

Premium MemberWhen Time Meets Light

Snow prevails in the realms of Otherworlds,
And moonlit mortals imagine light flight.
Bright pink faery orbs float and dance upward,
Spirals in song producing bright delights.

At times, thought considers the other side.
Dreaming in the moment bestows lessons.
A flame amplifies the insightful mind,
And we learn to breathe in our own heavens.

The depth of the forest brings us fresh breath
While we try to fly the stellar Cosmos,
Doing all that we can to keep our health
While sparkling moonlight plays its song and glows.

Venerable Oaks and Hazels reach high,
Grounded on Earth, yet, bound to Raven's eye!

Never Born Time Again

Killed time, killed, destruction living in your heart
Hmm, why? Hmm. Because you like to be this, like

Yes, yes, you are a dislike, an anti-love, a killer life
Death hugs me, all my hope is fading smoke in the sky

Trampled life, nothing in my cemetery, dried tree leaves
Crunching under your feet, my soul sighing, the last

Last. Last hope flies away. Your love has gone away
Coming in a light storm. Bye. My tears are the raindrops

Oh, oh. Forget it. Forget. Hmm
I am nothing. I just loved you. A fake illusion

Hmm
No more chance. I am a loser

Our lives are lost
Never Born Time Again

Loved you

Jailer's Time

Evil little faces
In little evil places

come in from many cases
Behind the glass door mazes, do we really make changes?

Do they actually change us?
I walk by the metal cages, I've come to feel the same spaces

Humbly, I have to say this
We are all on borrowed time still

Dead End

When do flowers no longer bloom
and the sea's stop touching the shore.

Light from the heaven's fail to shine
and the birds shall sing no more.

Innocent's of children no longer play
as time like a candle melts away.

Fleeting are the moments
we get to spend
and death is the reason
it all does end.

Feel that pause between Summer and Autumn,
When the universe takes a relieved breath,
Before pulling the leaves to the bottom,
Where they fall to their silent crushing death;

Hear that sigh between Summer and Autumn,
Pregnant with the restless rustle of trees,
All good and ready for what God taught 'em,
Whispering soft the secrets of the breeze;

That break between Summer and Autumn's cool,
Change's needed, so's the time to just lie ~
The in-between time to face new shift's rule,
When Nature grooms itself to dye and die.

HANDS OF TIME

As I close the last window and draw the blinds shut;
The mountains once viewed and cool crisp air no longer a must.
As I dim the lights and close my eyes to rest
       Visions of my tomorrows quickly fading as if to suggest;
A new dawning beyond the horizon removes the hands of time,
Leaving just my capsule of this world behind...

The Valley Awaits

Live long enough
and we end up alone
No matter our fortune
no matter our throne

Life will have sway
as our journey unwinds
One breath at a time
— our voices unrhymed

One Loan

I don’t have to remind you. Yesterday is behind you. Temporary is the time these bodies will hold the spirit inside you. Whether you are a millionaire or broke and in debt. Life has a beginning middle and end. It’s those three points that we try to make our friend. Since our timer starts when we exit the womb and enter the earth’s play pen. We must take heed and protect our time, with prayer and faith, before the end of our body’s last sigh. It may not be as long as an end, wrinkled and gray, as everyone’s timeline is different not everyone gets to meet old age. Each being has their exit date, some sooner than we anticipate. Nonetheless, we all will leave this place in the same state, and not with these loaned bodies not that I have seen to date. Though if you have faith your spirit will be returned to its maker to recreate. We never end completely, we just get repurposed for the next version he sees a need. So, Temporary is the time in this vessel with a clock that just ticks and tocks until the arms one day just stop.
