Though love is cut deep in stone forever,
you will be with me till my closing sigh;
such promise- your demise will not sever,
so, I will not utter the word goodbye.
Our first sweet kiss left this girl quite wondrous,
oh, your deep strong voice- music for my soul;
within me loud throbbing, drumming thundrous,
I knew without you I could not be whole.
So, I will hold our deep love evermore
oh, I whispered this promise to your tomb;
now, nightly the ink night skies- we explore,
you exist in soft hues of twilight gloom.
This love torments my every living hour
oh, grief in the end- will my soul devour.

Thundrous
Quiet in the air
sudden...complete silence that
leaves one’s soul barren

Summer is fleeting
Vacation is ending
Festivals are passing
Season is changing.
Warmth begins to wind down
As Autumn slowly creeps
Leaves slowly change colors
Lavishing in gold
As they part from branches.
Though summer is going
Something is staying
That will hold to heart
For years to come.
Placing feet in the water
Feeling the coolness sweep
Across our ankles so high
As we stare off at the sky.
The rainy days
Thundrous nights
Hail struck down
Golf balls from the sky.
Ferris wheel that I rode
As the fog swept through
Adding a mysterious atmosphere
As it shrouded the shoreline.
The fun we had at the meetup
Dressing up at Veteran's Park
Acting crazy and silly
Just being ourselves.
Birthdays celebrated
Friendships honored
Bonds strengthened
Trials beated
Though summer is ending
As the seasons are changing
Yet the memories created
Will never be shaded.

If one compares the ocean's wave
to life upon the human stage,
minds conjure salt water sea
and know forever's meant to be
in blowing winds and moon pulled tides.
bridges to the world's divides.
These metaphors are thoughts aligned
that pay no heed to warning signs
that say life's many noxious ploys
are games to play, as water buoys
to ships that move along the ocean's core
all here today and gone once more
dashed upon some distant shore.
Absorbed in unconscious realms sustained
by clouds encased with thundrous rain
that bluster forth its moisture spent
upon the water's firmament.
And where will all our history go
to poet's rhyme and thoughts that show
we are more than just a wave?
Our lives are played and soon engraved
in song and verse abeit saved
in memory's graceful reverie.
unlike the ripples of the sea.

In storm-struck prior communion,
Rain-cursed years of grey-shot waiting,
Hearts begged love reunion,
Harboured pledges incubating.
And then the new day breaking,
Sun kissed vistas, love increasing,
From nightmare realms awaking,
Chains relinquished, sweet releasing.
With endless depth and texture,
Rib-cracked beats of hearts on fire,
Hair's breadth wild conjecture,
Snow capped summit soar, desire.
A wondrous, fabled dreaming,
Twin prodigals in liberation,
A thundrous, blinding teeming,
In love, such is salvation.
