Passionate Affair
my head throbbed like
a jackhammer in full bore
my eyes felt like pieces of
eighty grit sandpaper
it was another Tequila Sunrise
which was no surprise
when we first met, I was her
bad boy, Desperado type,
she was my Witchy Woman
I was the New Kid in Town,
she was an old hand In the City
we both liked to live
Life in the Fast Lane
we first met at the sleazy, time worn
Hotel California
our love affair set my life
on fire and left me feeling
on top of the world
it all came crashing down
when she said what do we
do After the Thrill is Gone
I knew she was angling for
a way to end it
she finished her drink
cooly stood up and walked out
no word of goodbye nor tear
in her eye
she left a gaping supermassive black
Hole in the World
I was sucked in to the hole
with no chance to escape
tequila was my only relief
I live in hope that
One of These Nights
I will find another just like her

His lips parted,
yet the notes clung,
threaded in silence
by invisible keys.
The song stayed,
in a nest of aches,
where wishes fluttered
with no hope of flight.
He hummed,
but no one heard
the melody curled
beneath spoken noise.
They praised
his calm, his quiet,
and manly things
he always played.
Never knowing
his practiced hush
was a wretched note
never to be sang aloud.
He nodded,
clapped in soft time,
while his ribcage beat
a slow mourning tune.
Some songs bloom
like flowers aloud,
but his grew in pain,
rooted deep in hush.
Still it throbbed,
a muted plea—
just once, a tune
to be heard and freed.

On a table for two
I see an open love letter
Besides that lay three roses
Two champagne glasses standing
Besides a bottle of champagne
Around them are scattered round chocolates
I hear a romantic song softly played
That throbbed my heart as I listen
The light atop the table adds romance
It was special to see in every eyes
It's solemn, waiting a pair to occupy
Not far from where I sit two people came
One in tuxedo, one in fashionable dress
Oh I see, I smile to see a pair smiling
As they seat that prepared ovedue table
Was meant for two romantic love birds
I giggle as I sip my champagne looking at them
Oh what a night to celebrate Valentines!

Bereft of soft flesh,
That once throbbed within,
Tribute from heart
To departed soul.
Living together
For eighty years,
Snowflakes dissolve.
Sea silent,
Seagull speechless,
Seashells alone.
Roses and thorns,
Sand and beach,
Looks at palm.
Standing calm on salted sands beside
the tumult of tides,
Red remnants of care lie with hollow husks,
buffeted by breezes beneath darkened skies.
Blushed by sunset altar of love,
sea shell songs,
scent of Rosa rugosa,
stones smooth as lovers skin;
sweet love hearts oceanic sensual offerings.

Make sure you shake your shoes out before putting them on.
they make excellent overnight campsites for vagabond crawlers.
I once got bit by something (i suspect a spider)
on the long toe of my left foot.
It swelled -itched and throbbed on and off for three weeks
i was unemployed at the time and wasn't insured
so, I self-remedied-mainly with ice aspirin and drink.
Employment eventually found me before my benefits ran out
I'm insured now but rarely meet my deductible.
Always shake life out before you put it on
poison is the lover of shadows.

Like a whip-sword with a blade, it looked humble and curled.
I thought it's the softest pink sapphire in the world.
In your brawl with me, for causeless cause, when you swore
Endless embers of volcanoes gushed from your core.
Your pessimism, like toxin-puffed balloons, soared high
A pain from within me throbbed into a sigh
Scorn, like fire from fighting swords, from you blazed forth
Is there, deep within you, an inferno of wrath?
Did I, in the past, shun showing you my favour?
I, now, feel ashamed to have you as my neighbour.
I thought you're precious and preserved you as a pearl.
What tempest, I don't know, turned you a pool of whirl.
Though storms taunt time and again, do Banyan trees weep?
With your thorny, rude words, I feel awake from sleep.
No one can make rules for me to live with a snake.
What use is a neighbour who gives nothing but ache?

What Is It Part VII
Yes
At the heart of it all
The basic question throbs and has always throbbed
Within the minds carried about by the bodies
Of the sane and the insane
The vastly great and the vastly small
The one we waken to the world with
The one that comes at the end
The one we collectively began to ask
When we built our first fires and told our first tales
Beneath the careless stars
Shining down from the terrible infinite blackness -
What Is It?
What Is It?
What Is It?

What is that feelin'
Creepin' 'bout my heart,
I think its kind of blue
Breakin' me apart
Fallin' into pieces
How many a heart has,
Once throbbed with neon
And all that jazz
I'm feelin' kind of blue
Not deep enough to cry,
A solemn kind of blue
Don't need to wonder why
Revolving slowly into
This somber attitude,
Azure leanin' on green
A pale, indigo mood
Muffled sounds carry
The smoothest baritone,
Over a muted trumpet
And a sad, sad saxophone
It's nothin' strange to me
Been right here before,
... Turn up the music
Slowly, close the door.

Looking at birds in the sky,
like them too, I wished to fly
and so it was, that one day,
blessings divine paved my way.
At home, whilst I was alone,
throbbed my pineal gland cone
and standing at heaven’s gate,
I began to levitate!
Bliss magnetism suffused form
and blown away in this storm,
my formless self, one with space,
was left with no goals to chase.
On return to body-mind,
flight of fancy, mind declined,
since I had brought back no proof,
truth crumbled under reproof.

Leaving her mother at the birthing center,
My heart throbbed with unease and fear,
But when I heard she arrived safe and sound,
A smile lit up, wiping away every tear
On October 7th, Illiana Starr was born,
A burst of delight, a Starr shining bright,
Solely captivating all who adorn,
Her presence, a beacon of pure light
Eliyana, a gift from above,
With tiny feet and hands so small,
Her closed eyes, a canvas of love,
A precious bundle, captivating us all
Enshrined within my heart’s pure sanctuary,
Illiana, our radiant ray of light,
May she grow in faith and clarity
Navigating life’s mysteries with all her might
I pray to walk beside her every step,
As she blooms into a woman so divine,
Illiana Starr, in my heart forever kept,
Our joy, our treasure, for long time.

I miss the one who stole my heart
Before the waves pulled us apart
When craving throbbed in every vein
We sang in tune to love’s refrain.
I miss the sparkle in her eyes
The sensual timbre of her voice
The urge to share, to give and take
A tacit wish, a mutual choice.
I miss the moments when at night
We watched in awe, silent delight,
The sequined twinkling in the sky.
From time to time a kiss, a sigh.
I miss the man who made me yearn
To touch and yield, with passion burn.
He made each fibre thrill within
I lived and breathed only for him.
I miss the touches of his hand
The sense of home within his arms
Where feelings bloomed and love was sweet
His knowing smiles were graced with charms.
I miss the rhythm of his love
His kisses raining from above,
The breathless rapture of my soul
I miss the man who made me whole.

The jungle drums have throbbed in Neasden
The message has swiftly spread about
So if you’re travelling around the area
Its suggested you carefully watch out
For the call has been answered
The length and breadth of our fair land
Certain heroes not been found reticent
Back here at the nation’s command
It started with just our Lawrence
But his example aroused so many more
Now in the back streets of Neasden
Camps our own elite camel corps
The camel’s throaty braying
Out sounds morning cocks
And the borough has no need now
For any morning alarm clocks
They are dedicated veterans
Fierce warriors to a man
All there craving for action
Since this campaign began
It’s a sight of heart stopping beauty
A hundred and thirty camels smart and neat
All drawn up in parade order
Down the whole length of our street
The nation owes it all to Lawrence
Who without any idle flaunting
Knew just where his duty lay
And was not found wanting
The jungle drums have throbbed in Neasden
The message has swiftly spread about
So if you’re travelling around the area
Its suggested you carefully watch out

I reminisce the day we first met
You halted with an enchanting smile,
You allured me to hug you for a debt
I reminisce the day we first met
The blush in red added beauty in set
My heart throbbed into yours, so agile
I reminisce the day we first met
You halted with an enchanting smile.
You allured me to hug you for a debt
I reminisce the day we first met
The blush in red added beauty in set
My heart throbbed into yours, so agile
You halted with an enchanting smile
That could melt any hearts in a while.

Two orphan girl-angels ill-affected,
Got admitted in a Corona- Ward;
Joy and Jay, like no one's pets, dejected,
Surrendered, like old nuns, wholly to God...
Their pains to minimize the doctors tried,
Though each doctor had thousands to attend;
Like fish without water Joy and Jay throbbed,
Like mariners, each flaw, doctors did mend...
It's at night Joy saw Jay growing breathless,
No oxygen left; like a corpse, she lay;
She cried; none around to assist; helpless,
Dared to fix her own oxygen on Jay...
When the crew had found Joy alive no more,
And her Oxygen mask on Jay well fixed;
They wept, as though they'd lost a warrior,
And ensured that in Jay, Joy ever lived.
