Wish To Fly

Looking at birds in the sky, like them too, I wished to fly and so it was, that one day, blessings divine paved my way. At home, whilst I was alone, throbbed my pineal gland cone and standing at heaven’s gate, I began to levitate! Bliss magnetism suffused form and blown away in this storm, my formless self, one with space, was left with no goals to chase. On return to body-mind, flight of fancy, mind declined, since I had brought back no proof, truth crumbled under reproof. 29-May-2023 __________ W T F Poetry Contest Sponsor: John Lawless

For wings to fly I'd give chase, but I fear a flight of fancy is the only kind I'll ever embrace. I didn't intend that to rhyme, but... you know how that goes. Thoughtful lines, Seeker.
