Think Like A Man Poems | Examples

Premium Member I Have a Woman

I have a woman.
I’m proud to call her my wife.
Some give theirs’ nicknames, ‘her indoors’ and ‘the trouble and strife’
Now, I have my flaws and they are many and vast.
I think like a man, slowly and ‘at last’!

But my wife asks me to hang the washing out in the rain!
Her argument for using the balustrade and radiators to me seems pretty lame!
They dry out too quickly!
They dry out too fast!
So, while it’s overcast and drizzling the wind will still give them a blast!

Now, I have a chunter as I’m stood outside getting my bald head wet! She says that there’s sense in her logic though I can’t see it being approved by Spock from Star Trek!

If they get wet we can give them a spin! Then wait for some sunshine to hang them out again!
The weather app says it’s going to clear up - so that’s what you’ll do. Get out there in the drizzle and hang the washing out you fool.

Think Like a Man

There is where I can do a little good
This is where I can stand as my father stood
To build a house with the materials of love
From the good earthly things and a blessing from above

I can think like a man

A generation embarks at the port of youth
Its ships all moored on the perilous seas of truth
How do they set sail for all this fog?
Where is the evening star or tomorrow’s god?

They must think like a man
With a divine plan

I’m ready to follow the plan
of the ready man
I’m ready to stand where my father
did solidly stand

And start to think like a man

My Father

My father made me Not be rude
                                        Bless my food
                                        Know what’s good

My father made me Sit up straight
                                       Tow my weight
                                       Be a teammate

My father made me Help my mother
                                       Think of others
                                       Love my brothers

My father made me Think like a man
                                       Do all I can
                                       Be what I am

                          My father
                          Made me

The Awakening

The sun rises on the first day
Waves crash on the shore in a beautiful display
Plant life spreading in a widening sprawl
Animals of all kinds, swim, fly, creep and crawl
Man draws his breath for the very first time
His mark on the world so soon defined
Fire is discovered, tools and the wheel
Technology takes off and continues to build
Bows and arrows, spears and the axe
Weapons of war, man on attack
Gunpowder, muskets and cannons do sing
Ships take to sail, man takes to wing
Wars and death, destruction and loss
Technology comes at a terrible cost
Machines evolve and think like a man
Knowing things we cannot understand
Soon robots and machines become our gods
Man no longer has reason or conscious thought
Soon we will fade into the recesses of time
No longer needed in a world so unkind
