Disperse Into Times That Are Terse
Though there are times that are terse
What had happened should rehearse;
When we did,
God forbid;
It could end up being another curse.

I didn't know
that I'm the first
I didn't know
you were coerced
I didn't know
your every verse
I didn't know
they were rehearsed
I didn't know
the truth at first
I didn't know
you'd be the worse
I didn't know
you'd be my curse.

at night, I think, it's really worse
coldly still and quiet dark
stubborn muses, rusted curse
careless drops on vellum stark
a captured fleeting moment
life gets balanced on a pen
turgid rhymes and syntax foment
only stoke an unslaked yen
in some inkwelled vision quest
asking stars for hints and answers
delving deep in prosaic zest
like poetic necromancers
but simple words for simple years
will weave back a thread of verse
wisely, as an ending nears
keep these notions sweetly terse.

Here it is and be sure not to miss.
Do you know what I like about a small cottage
When in never will require very much wattage.

on doggerel verse,
show mercy then
and keep it terse.

One love is so dear and precious for anyone.
To live without love is definitely a devilish pun.

You give us just the same old beat –
no lilt or swirl or surge or sweep.
If you wish to dance a line,
why can’t you make it ring with rhyme?
