In My Hand

Be mine, until I butcher thine.
Be mine, till death do us part... literally.
Be mine, you are to die.
Your flesh is my gift... tastefully.
Blood red roses, just for you.
Till death do us part, forever true.
In my dungeon, your heart, my bloody possession.
Eternal love, in my chains, gilded cage.
My name is Obsession.
A missing story page.

She tried like a wolverine to claw her way out.
Instead, I now hold a piece of her close to my soul.

Premium MemberBalsams- POTD

In tastefully lined up pots in a row,
Multi colored balsams in clusters grow.
A visual treat to adoring eyes,
But never a haunt frequented by bees.

Balsams do not need much care, yet may fade,
If not allowed a little shade.
Flimsy they are of delicate stems,
With light green leaves of serrated hems.

Growing in my neatly laid up yard,
They invariably make me glad.
Gleaming in the first rays of summer sun,
By their simple beauty, my heart they have won.

Unlike the charming red, red rose
Hardly any poet, on them, odes compose
They have no scent, yet as a colorful throng,
In my courtyard, proudly they belong

When the flowers wither, pods appear
In time for self- dissemination, prepare
When fully ripe, the pods explode
And seeds fly as birdies from their nest to explore!

Thus, Nature’s ways are so amazing
Even in plants there's an inherent training
For seeds to leave the comfort of their pods
And find their own space fighting all odds!

CUPPA CHAR

CUPPA CHAR

When the world is spinning and all logic is gone
No sense of winning, and nothing to think upon
Then sit down for a rest, as it’s time for a brew
A cup of tea is the best, made proper and true

So warm up the pot, so it is good and ready
Swill water that’s hot, with a hand that’s steady
Then spoon in tea leaves, one each plus one
The strength one achieves, once it’s begun

Boiling water poured in, then give it a stir
Let the brewing begin, but too quick is a sin
A few minutes later, prepare cups with milk
Some prefer later, as with others of that ilk

A clear golden liquid, with a subtle scent
Lift the teapot lid and stir with good intent
Tea leaves now sunk, time to gently pour
Ready to be drunk, but slowly, it’s the law.

It’s best in a china cup, yet who knows why
Always drink it up, holding little finger high
One makes the tea in the way that’s directed
And sip it tastefully, in a manner so affected

Premium MemberOn a Clearing Morning

On a clearing morning I awaken,
yesterday’s ruckus subsiding;
corporal tensions having
been slept away, a dove softly
cooing on my window sill
in the flower box having made
a nest – room for both buds and
nurturing…

the cat at bay, the pane a permanent
divider, every night he awakes to
consciously dream, eyes like fixed
lasers, into the dawn he salivates,
wonders of our shared mystery, why
the mouthful and he separated, by the
same God who pets and soothes, calls him
precious…recalling the turkey they
shared – dispatched, tastefully presented
as grace…?

The Fall of Rome

It was the Emperor's birthday.
The Coliseum was sold out.
All over the Cityyou could hear
The people laughs and shout.
First came on the animals
In the early evening heat'
Not much fun once They’d had
enough Christians to eat.

The came on the gladiators
All dressed up to thrill,
Because it was Caesar's birthday
They weren't allowed to kill.
Then came the speciality act,
The deflowering of a hundred  maids
All tastefully laidout
Under transparent sunshades.

Out strode the proud Nubian
Dressed In G string and sarong
Eager to get started at
The clash of the gong.
First three dispatched with ease
He stiffened, clasped his head
And without further ado
Fell down stone deaded dead.

In the stunned silence
The promoters was heard to stay
He was fine at dress rehearsal
Earlier on today.
It being a little early
To send the crowd home
They had a little riot
And they burned down Rome.

The Emperor got excited
And quickly joined
Swaying to the flames as
He played his violin.
That's how the Empire ended
By contemporary description;
How different it could have been
With Viagara on prescription.

Premium MemberI Just Love Coconut

So sweet and absolutely delicious
I can take it in any form at all
it has a special taste all of its own
one which hearing its name makes you call

Any kind of chocolate flavoured bar
with coconut within means its mine
dark, milk, or even white I do love
it's just a dream so I follow its sign

Another favorite that I truly love
is a coconut ice bat so really sweet
but too many of them stick to your teeth
your taste buds tell you it just can't be beat

My mother used desiccated coconut
when baking her variety of lovely cakes
I would eat some when mum not looking
so sweet tastefully better than any steaks

They are some lovely coconut drinks
coconut and pineapple is a real delight
but really I love anything that's got coconut
so the thought of this first just feels so right

Premium MemberStay Hopeful

"Share the hopes within you still
And hold the dreams that in you reside
Invite a kiss from parted lips
And trace the paths where hearts abide."*

Soar above frustration despair
with God’s love keeping you steadfast
becoming a blessing to others
who are struggling from pains of the past.

Savour the Lord’s offered grace divine
trusting His Word, tastefully sweet
nurturing anticipation faith buds
for wondrous tomorrows to greet.

Seek always the Almighty’s wisdom
leading toward triumphant trail
warned against lurking allurement bait
valiantly smiting voices that derail.

Stay hopeful* midst prayer-filled days
reaching-out by Holy Spirit’s might
blissfully serene and grateful
looking forward for fruits of delight.

#Anything? Remember* Vanilla...

Vanilla happens to be delicious, sweet and mellow on it's own,
and it stands on it's own...It Stands On It's Own.

Premium MemberGreek Festival

Greek Festival

I've waited an entire year for this!
More exciting than Christmas,
for me...
If only I had a wish list.

The foods magnificent, the love
expressed tastefully, yet simply
extravagant.
The aroma of Frappes and gyros
set me reeling.
Stuffed grape leaves and the best
pastitsio on earth.
Cooked by volunteer cooks~
sweating with love and mirth.
Another time of communal OPA,
with great feeling.

The dancing, oh!
The Sirtaki and the wonderful,
Hasapiko.which are danced with
beauty and total grace!
There's no better time than this.
It leaves a beaming smile on my
face.

Greek bread drives me to total
gastronomic oblivion.
Pastries, lift me to heaven, off
I go!
Ah, Greek Festival, one more
special event with Hellenic,
great feeling!
"Philitomo", well you have to look
that one up-:))
As it has multiple meanings.

Thank you.

Two True

i can't
say that
i am
growing up

looking back
normality
morality
fit me

in some
category
like poetry
i'm not

iambic
i'm more
pelvic and
musically

you can
find me
andante
moderato

tastefully
eating
my pasta
al dente

and in
life i
like
most

have had
lose to
which it
is said

for everyone
there is a
soulmate
but she

died and
so did i
just like
Atlas

dropping not
the world but
my world with
a shrug

now after all these
Rumpelstiltskin
years gone by
i'm not sure

if i'm still
dreaming
in my sleep
or sleeping

in a dream
for it seems
i've been
allowed

to have
a second
soulmate
finding her

doing the same
as me pushing
a door that reads
pull
