Premium Member Delicious Food I Ate During My Travels

If you judge food with the quantity put before you
Then my first choice will be the Victoria Hotel*.
On Sunday lunch, food is too plentiful, makes you blue.
There we will eat so much it will make our tummies swell.

In my travels, I had times when food was super great.
Like when in sunny Ireland we drove up a high hill.
Fragrant smell of seafood, an inevitable bait,
And who cared about driving, chilled white wine was a thrill.

Athens and the Acropolis, a sight to explore.
We descended on foot and found a farm that served meals
We poured some white wine I had never tasted before,
Various cuts of lamb tastefully spiced, worth the deals.

One surprise was in Switzerland, on a mountain high.
My wife and I opted for a trout for the first time.
It was deliciously tasteful, we could almost fly.
We shared a second helping, costed many a dime.

I suppose there are other good times when food excelled,
But Urk in Holland was my biggest surprise of all.
A shack near the sea served food but not even a smell
We ate the finest fresh sole, the chef we had to call.

But the worst food I partook in was in old Brazil
Only meat and hormone-fed chicken, cooked with no skill.

NB The Victoria Hotel is situated in Sliema, Malta, not far from where I live. The food there is always first class, except for the wine :)

Premium Member Balsams- POTD

In tastefully lined up pots in a row,
Multi colored balsams in clusters grow.
A visual treat to adoring eyes,
But never a haunt frequented by bees.

Balsams do not need much care, yet may fade,
If not allowed a little shade.
Flimsy they are of delicate stems,
With light green leaves of serrated hems.

Growing in my neatly laid up yard,
They invariably make me glad.
Gleaming in the first rays of summer sun,
By their simple beauty, my heart they have won.

Unlike the charming red, red rose
Hardly any poet, on them, odes compose
They have no scent, yet as a colorful throng,
In my courtyard, proudly they belong

When the flowers wither, pods appear
In time for self- dissemination, prepare
When fully ripe, the pods explode
And seeds fly as birdies from their nest to explore!

Thus, Nature’s ways are so amazing
Even in plants there's an inherent training
For seeds to leave the comfort of their pods
And find their own space fighting all odds!

Premium Member Wanders the Poetic Pilgrim Soul In Me

In me, dwells therein a pilgrim soul.
Always on the move and on the go.
It growls, with a very strong voice:
“Do not dare fence me in…worse…
To attempt to still my strong voice.”

Not penning here to make you smile.
Prefer, walking on nails for many miles.
To be sweet and cute is hardly my tone.
Prefer the fresh scent of a summer rain.
Than following the crowd, the ultimate pain.

I’ve given up, calling myself a real poet.
That name belongs to some, I know it!
We are not poets simply just because we
      are online.
There is my vocabulary to expand greatly.
And to learn the use of imagery tastefully.

If the fates allow me more time on earth.
Perhaps in a few more years, I will write
      something of worth.
Please know, I, myself, am not drunk on my writes.
Meanwhile, I know it is of no use to plagiarize or cheat,
      using AI!

Pen of the present, as much as you can.
I would like to know you-now, not who you
      were way back when
Wake up this world to honor truth,, it is your duty.
To wed, both love and beauty, the true poetic trophy.

Premium Member Ballade To Mature Beauty

Easy comes beauty in youth’s natural spring,
But with age its mellow dimensions grow.
Like to a bud, a full bloom, age will bring.
With grace its beauty does ebb and glow,
Its liberty allows its new functions to show.
Mature beauty is and will be admired always,
Youth’s beauty and its esteem goes to and fro,
But ageless deeper beauty has endless days.

Mature beauty has a melody to sing,
And this it releases so that you will know,
The elegance and blessing of its echo’s ring.
The evidence of a mind is part of its show,
For it opens tastefully with a view to bestow.
Ageless beauty never lacks for praise.
The beauty of life’s spring may lose its glow,
But ageless deeper beauty has endless days.

In poetry and melody its praises we bring,
For mature beauty’s many dimensions we know.
With fervid dignity I see it take to wing,
Giving the young buds an inspiring show.
May you long guide youth as they grow,
Leading them in elegance the celestial ways.
So youth will know how easy beauty may go,
But ageless deeper beauty has endless days.

Now young buds aspire to full blooms grow,
And become worthy of nature’s timeless praise.
Allow your charm in majesty and grace to glow,
And may your ageless beauty have endless days.

A Blimmin' Cold Day, Even For Grandad

All avenues are amphibious arenas
Bubbles belch-burst, bitter Bacchanalian bombs
Clouds' cast-iron crescendo creates cold cantankerous caricatures
Drenched - darkness descending, daylight dying, disappearing duskwards
Every eye echoing every eye, emotional evidence enveloped
Fake furs, fashionable fools, firm friends fleeing flowing firmament
Garrulous girls giggle, grizzled gangsters get going, gravity gyroscopes - ginormous gloomy grey gusts!
Hapless Harry's hairpiece hovers, hesitates, hovers higher, hurriedly he hopes he has his hat,
Intimate iciness infiltrates irrepressibly inside,
Jaunty Jack's japery, just jaded January jokes - jigsaw justice
Kilted killers, kleptomaniac kangaroos...
Lame laughs, low lamplight, laser liquid lines lash lustfully
Mercurial miasma mercilessly merging, mournful men mutter miserably
Nobody needs niceties, navigating newspapers, nothing new now
Ordered out over oof owed, obstinately offering old objections
Pavement pool-puddles pose problems, precautions probable, prayers perhaps...
Quintessential questing queens querulously quarrel,
Rain rushes relentlessly, rudely, rapaciously
Sizzling, steaming, slip-sliding silhouettes, soaked saturnine suits seething
Terry the tiger-tamer, tastefully tattooed, taking time talking tactfully to trembling tramps
Undernourished underpass underclass, underwhelmed under useless ubiquitous umbrellas
Vulgar victors, vim-vigour-verve, voraciously vanquished, vanity virulently violated,
Waistless waifs, wasted wastrels, wrestle with wicked westerly winds
X-rayed, X-rated
Yesterday's youngsters yellowing, yawning, yearning
Zero zest. Zilch.

Steak and Potatoes

In all honesty.
I think what I truly desired was to be put on a plate.
And be devoured piece by piece.
My attention, all my free time.
Everything that no one else could see.
With knife and fork.
T be taken apart and devoured tastefully.
With nothing left except the juice of where I laid.
The tough parts that take time to cut,
Revealed in an instant.
To be desired in mutual attraction, a certain craving.
Covered in salt, pepper, a slice of butter.
All of my interests, my habits.
The anticipation of being sizzled and flipped on a cast iron skillet.
Served fresh on a plate.
A baked potato on the side to bring out the taste.
In all honesty.
I think I'll have a steak

My Beautiful Queen

My Beautiful Queen
By MEH3

I can call you cute,
fine
sexy
all them sorts of things
Or even Pretty,
Classy
Foxy
something with a nice ring
But I will rather call you my Queen
Someone a King desire
You have that elegant style
so tastefully fine
I mean God just whispered and told me
she is so divine
A supreme being
only missing her crown
With that angelic voice
halo time
A smile so ravishing
more than attractive
something like fascinating
She walks in a room and everybody notice her
without saying a word
She is not conceited but
has that confident strut,
likes all eye on her
and she is not even trying to flaunt
Is those wings by her side
because she looks so heavenly,
Beautiful,
Exquisite,
Pulchritudinous!
Meaning....your appearance is so pleasing to the me
Just understand you are more than a woman
You are a Queen
The most powerful piece
Nobody can compete
with your style and grace
Royalty resides in you
Just continue to remember you're more than a woman
You are my Queen to be!

I Break Everything I Touch

I break everything I touch;
At first seemingly simple-
But soon too much,
For my games are so nimble.

My feelings out of reach-
always too far to touch.
And not made known through speech;
I am an observer-
I keep my distance;
I am not a conformer-
And at times lack resistance.

I speak my words carefully,
I am a reformer-
And I shall go about it tastefully,
Though always be straightforward.

If you paid slight attention,
You'd notice need for a contravention;
Morality has gone astray-
Long Lost in comprehension;
I hold true to mine today.

Why when we speak do we do so
condescendingly-
Instead of understandingly?
It's honestly trifling.

Although to late for prevention-
If nothing else, help ease the tension;
Perhaps we could find ourselves some
redemption.
For not only what we speak-
But also what we fail to mention.

Blue Bell Passion

BLUE BELL PASSION

Pound, pound, pound!
my melting feet move
a rhythmic sound
I feel, I feel, almost soothed.

My chocolate chip sweat drips
over me. Almost done.
my butter pecan steps trip
to what I have won.

Another creamy day
of health! But!
Now I pray
for a pecan touch

a creamy touch
of ice cream!

The cat days of summer
have tightened the chains
of restraint, overcome
by vanilla refrains

"I scream, I scream, I scream!"
sounds on the rocky road,
first, as faint as a dream,
then building, building, then, explode!

"you scream, you scream, you scream!"
Into a crescendo choking my soul
yelling neopolitan dreams
like a pistachio ghoul!

the dreamy scary cold
of ice cream!

"we all scream, We all scream, We all scream!"
My very cherry pores quiver
I am naught but a pecan stream
of desire on a hurricane river!

"FOR ICE CREAM!
I am addicted, lost
to the American Dream
of a freezer filled with milk-creamy frost!

There is no help
for me, it seems
there is no butter brickle help
just melted Blue Bell cream

melted mental bowls
of ice cream!

Is there no toffee hope
for my coffee-flavored desire?
a twelve-step Pope
for me to tastefully hire?

An Ice Cream Anonymous
somewhere on Earth
once a week, or month
a chocolate re-birth?

Strawberry, blueberry
I admit it all
I am hooked, Ben and Jerry,
it is my downfall!

the sweet addictive passion
of ice cream!

Mandarin Red

What do I know of that young woman...
She never dared..and I was not allowed.
Hellion drained at last courageous
Holding on to remnants of electric beauty
Dying of neglect
Perhaps..in spite of duty.

And I suppose (to some sublime extent)
All that is known of her
Would make good kindling
Around suburban campfires glowing tastefully,
Where discontented matrons, still and all
Practice that much maligned art
Of fundamental
Character assasination
Behind a well dressed back - or two.

And here I am in a large bed waiting
Listening to the heartbeat of a ticking clock:
Lonely - lonely - lonely
Waiting for my nails to dry...
A pretty vanity left unsaid;

My favorite color,
Mandarin Red....

Landscape Architect

It's all your fault
 Charles Mortington Parsons
 Designer of landscapes
 Extraordinaire
That no one has a sense of time anymore

Green lawns appear
 Instantly overnight
 Tall trees grow
In a morning or an afternoon

Mother nature
 Stacked tastefully
 Between terracotta bookends
 And it's all your doing

Cultivating Creativity

I have so much in me that's pouring to see
Hear me massive thoughts grasping for air seas to me
Trees elated to transform ability
Lines rhyme submissively
Structured stand statically
Touching places and faces mentally
Who is to be
Greater is He in Me
Given power to tread over serpents deceitfully
Tried to pound cake my senses see
Never to be
Eyes opened spiritually
Naturally
Balance approved Kingdom economically
Calling things to be
Speak to me
Oh taste and see
Yahuah is good to me
Could it be
I have arrived to my destiny
Blessed to be
Glory poured upon me
Anointed me
Through thoughts paradigm shifts release
Taking Heat
Pressure turned up higher made me
Pure as gold firm foundations walking on seas
Focus to be who Yah created me to be
Come face to face with the
See Now is the time manifestation has released
On TV
A face never seen creativity
Created me
A temple not made by hands but the power that be
I applaud the
Praise the
for every part of me
I thank the
Live move and breath with me
A part of me
I see and hear the divine word from the
Victory
White flags never drag yes raised to be
a sign of prosperity
Cope with loosing to win
Maturity
Grow pass the last lesson learned gracefully
I stand and receive love everlasting tastefully
Never will thirst or be hungry again spiritually
Muscles be
Pumped up and out revealing all of me!
All of me
All of me!

From My Diary Combination of Happiness and Saddness

The year of my parents dreadful divorce
Lived with Mom and Aunt in another state
Changes came coupled with countless remorse
Feelings you just couldn't anticipate

On farm of two hundred green acres
Included barn, bats and dog named Happy
Bare back horse riding was there for takers
Maple trees juicy, tastefully sappy

That Christmas year was strangely different
Cousins, matriarchs and I rejoicing
Group of us managed to find reverent
Home made gifts of hide and seek, songs voicing

For me, 'twas a year full of sweet and sour
Testing our resilience and power

Rp Love

Struck, by the ways, of a Richness
Paradise cave, within your soul, I
directly stare, at the eyes of my
prey, convicted to consume you,
tastefully,I ate for loves blood,
Rapidly Pulsing, the touch, of your
paws, gras ply, gripping to crop my
body, Rawly and Provocatively, as I
scream, to live, among the lands,
humbly for you are that twizzler I
can't resist,
Like A piece of RP LOVE candy....
