Tanzanite Poems

Premium MemberPortrait of a Young Princess

Weeping for no one, the great
near-sister sobs, "Go, Queen, and find
all the pink jewels." Soon they are
found, examined and named:
Little Pink Fish, Aurora of Evening and
Forest Fire Sky. They are gathered
and brought to the princess. Her
beauty is her face; she is only five.

She often goes from great to ungrateful.
Then, being sorry, she will inquire,
"And will a palace be up and built?"
while wiping tears from eyes of
tanzanite.

azure atmosphere
tickles tickets of our tanzanite time
we move as midnight masks to oasis ocean
as our dewy lungs
parallel sighting cyan sea and sky
our cultures colored skin sand
blend as rrue trinity of ebullience existence
all interwoven with iridescent turquoise inks
painting peacock plays upon our personalities
for we share aquamarine auras every darling day

BROTHERS

Brethren I write to you
I Understand I wronged you
And did not believe in you

I gave the enemy my ear
Forgetting what was our nia
A wish that our ancestors shedded blood for
Disunity easily scattered it

My heart is bleeding not knowing when it will end
My eyes are flooding with tears
My arms are trembling with fear
When I realize I pointed a gun at my brothers

A wise man once said I’m not free
Until my neighbors land is liberated
Let’s join our hearts and hands to build a bridge
That will bring everyone to the light and liberty

The hands that will flee the enemy,
The enemy that have occupied our territories
They made us starve while we have food in the farms
Tanzanite in the mines and oil in the field
Not only oil and fish in lakes and ocean.

My Precious Child

If I had pearls or petalites
Few emeralds
Countless tanzanite
Some diamonds
Sizeable gold
And granite

So, if I had all of that
On my hands
All over my place
Signed under my name
Would that replace you?
No ways, not at all

You are a special being in my life
Positioned by God’s Divine design
A gift that I treasure
Oh, no! I cannot chase after fortune
I am the most fortunate
To be your Mother

Yes, you make my days shine brighter
I embrace the bliss you brought along
Through you, I gained wisdom
Among other things in this world
You carry so much worth
With you I found wealth

That is why I appreciate
For so many reasons
Throughout the seasons
We have been winning
Hence, I need you so much
My precious child!

O’ ten decem being tenth month of the year, so endearing, Alas. A seasonal transferring removed from Romulus calendar, remembered now as a season of division. Marked by changes in weather, ecology and amount of daylight on earth. My flower December Narcissus encased in a vase slab of Turquoise, Zircon and Tanzanite-what does December symbolize?
final month of Julian and Gregorian Calendars December Is the twelfth and the seventh and last of seven months that has lengths of 31 days in cold praise...

~

O’ ten decem twelve
Solace month of winter’s breath
plants to be dormant

Lovely, rich dark purple lilacs bloom in early spring
Fragrant spring air decorated by vibrant purple gems
Bright yellow striped tulips emerge on Kelly green stems
Magenta petunias attract a hummingbird’s fluttery wings

Peony’s vibrant hot pink flowers opened saucer wide
Hydrangea bunches magnificently displayed in tanzanite blue
Lupines and wildflowers decorate the country side in bright hues
Summer rugosa roses climb along on beaches near ocean tides

Chrysanthemums in yellows, reds and oranges, festive fall flowers are here
Fields of sunflowers stand magnificently tall as birds feed from their seeds
Red and white poinsettias in decorative pots adorned with ribbons and beads
Beautiful amaryllis blooms displayed on window sills brings warm winter cheer

Premium MemberReaching For the Romios Star

Don't tell a soul!
There's a special star in the sky!
The future home for my love and I.
The outside is tanzanite, sapphire
and lapis lazuli.
Its door is blue chalcedonyn with a
cosmic handle of white moonstone.
Who loves moonstone?
Why I do, you silly!

You'll carry me in, wearing your
"Fustanella!"
The one I saw you dance in, that
created in my heart, an eternal love
thunderstorm.
And we will remain soul-alive, in our
eternal Romios Star..
Existing in our sparkling home,
Romios.
Indeed, the only luminous blue
and white star in the sky.
Oh, so glorious.

* Fustanella-part of a Greek
costume, that is worn by dancers
and Evzones, the Greek Presidential
Guard.
It's white and similar to a kilt
(I suggest research on this one.)
No simple explanation on this fascinating
topic.

Magic moonstone on her finger
Dreams of tanzanite kisses,
Shadows in her bedroom linger
Losses, she thoughtfully, dismisses.

Friends that used her, for their glory
Disappear from her like fog in the city.
Looking for new friends to bury,
To rise to the top, using feckless ditties.

It's a twenty four hour race,
With nobody ever really winning!
The truly best writers know it is not
how much you write at all!!

So, in the end what glory be
With a crown made of non-reality?
And poetry shred to ghastly pieces.
All ending up as an artistic, bloody fatality.

The Fairy Frog Princess

Hides deep in the forest.
Waiting in loving serenity, eternally
for her Frog King.
She's unlike all frogs, you have yet to
behold.
Her gorgeous body totally the deepest
aquamarine, nettled in gold.
Beware of her eyes, they enrapture
you completely.
The soft eyes flash hues off of jade,
turquoise, tanzanite and gold.
Known to cast a spell on any~they
behold.

Upon her colorful head sits her crown.
In the shape of a heart, deep sapphire so
magnificent.
And unlike other mundane frogs has her own sensual frog-scent.
A mystical mix of gardenia and jasmine,

SHhh !
The Fairy Frog Princess has closed her
eyes in deep tranquility.
Make haste now, as we depart her in her
honored nobility.

Tanzanite

Born in Africa
Lovely and rare
Few others can compare
To the depths of beauty and of light
To the colors of her moods
Sometimes blue like Billie Holiday
Sometimes the color purple like Celie or even queen Nefertiti
She constantly amazes and changes
Never the same
Like an African woman
In Africa or in the diaspora
No one can destroy her
She grows, survives and thrives
She is a jewel infinitely bright
Her name is tanzanite

Blinding Purple

Oh would they had not gazed that night
That moonless night of long ago,
As purple streaks of tanzanite
Emitted their pernicious glow.

Like moths attracted to a flame
The mountain folk stared, mesmerized.
Now lives will never be the same;
Their eyes by blindness paralyzed.

Premium MemberTicklish Toes

A flawless sapphire blue tanzanite sky
spurs the flight of a monarch butterfly,
discarding its colorless chrysalis
as summer's sunny rays intensify.

Waves tongue ticklish toes along the shoreline
licking at bare feet playing in the brine,
and laughs and giggles echo in the wind
as the magic of surf and sand combine.

The beach hosts a frenzy of sights and sounds
from frisbees to seagulls doing their rounds,
a cacophony of shrieks and clatter
as the children howl like a pack of hounds.

A yellow sun sparkles like a citrine
hung above splendiferous shades of green,
and I cool my sunburnt skin with a breeze
that smells of sweat and barbequed cuisine.

I revel in the dog days of Summer
set to the beat of a laid-back drummer,
for this unhurried pace is hypnotic,
although summer's end can be a bummer.

I still recall the earrings that you wore ...

White gold, a gift from me on Christmas Eve,

The Tanzanite and Diamonds you adore -

To match the jaded heart upon my sleeve.

How I remember all those little things ...

The small specifics of the time and place,

Upon the nightstand, your once precious rings,

A symbol of the pledge you did disgrace.

Oh, I was just as much to blame as you,

Tall tales that with a kiss you could betray,

But never did I push the knife clean thru,

And bring another to our bed that way.

But here's the thing that made the act so cruel -

You knew 'twas HIM I'd hate ... the OTHER fool!

We sat upon the rocks, my love and I

Atop Mount Cadillac, there by the sea

And as a doubloon sun slid down the sky

I asked her, with my ring, to marry me

Now it was not to her, complete surprise

For we had often talked of marriage, soon

Yet 'tween the Tanzanite to match her eyes

A limpid diamond now shone with the moon

And while I'd worked so hard to fill her needs

To tend our bloom of love and help it grow

That ring so cut my heart, (and still it bleeds)

For back it came with one sharp edge of "no"

Then, as I rose in soundless rage to leave ...

I gave our love and that damned ring ... a heave.

I'd been watching him for years, (black as coal),

Almost two decades now, an extraordinary age for a wolf ...

Every full moon, and only then, he came to the clifftops.

To howl? Yes, to howl ... certainly that, for his voice was majestic,

But it was far more than just a howl, it was a cry ... a sad, mournful weep,

Torn from the depths of his sorrow, and cast in hatred at the moon.

He'd lost his mate there, you see, a beautiful she-wolf ...

Eyes like tanzanite, with a thick, shaggy coat the color of sea foam.

I had witnessed it myself, all those years ago, under a full, blood moon ...

They had been playing in the long grass at the top of the cliffs,

And a gust of wind had swept her off the edge ... and into the sea.

Now, he howled, and he would howl until the moon ... was no more.
