Premium MemberTis Raining

‘tis raining
greening
thundering
pelting
blessing the soil
wetting the seeds
cleaning the face
of Spring blossoms
May’s tada
in fountainhead palms
of life
sweet life
living water
freely flows
a gift to all
for precious moments
(((or))) forever
as you turn over your soul
to
the Savior

Love My Own Medicine: God Loves Me

Does God make slightly reject people?
We may think so, but He never did
Quite apart from Mephibosheth, lame prince, son of Jonathan,
In hiding when Saul died (the nurse hid baby Mephibosheth from King David)
Who merely sought to make Jonathan's last heir his Royal Guest for life!

There are those heroes and sheroes who rise above disability
Joni Erickkson Tada, dashing teen, dove into the Potomac decades ago
And lived with a broken neck (wheelchair-bound paraplegic since)
Married an American from Hawaii, and both teach uplifting lessons on Faith
The LORD God does not make rejects (though we may CHOOSE darkness)
Your ... our circumstances may be heavy. Do not let heavy events take your Focus off from WHO and whose you are: the light of creation is inside you
More than in that exotic orchid or rose, more than in a rare eagle or lyre bird

If you have loved a child, another person, or helped even one stranger ...
YOU have made the Universe smile (it began to live out its Eternal Dream)
Some call it Higher Awareness ... Jesus called it, "The Abundant Life"
As seen from Heaven's riches ... LORD'S Prayer, we have Daily Bread & more

Premium MemberTada Tada Honda Man Cometh

Me and Honda were made for each other
Vows that were uttered at the starting buzzer
A union unique
A 35 year streak
How loyal is that, this brand loyal lover

Premium MemberMy Friend Is In a Mess

You’re a mess, you’re all over the place,
Your colours just don’t look right.
You look back to front, not neat and tidy,
You look like you’ve been in a fight.

How about we sit down and think about things,
And get back to a healthy state of mind.
Let’s put all of you together again, in one piece,
All of your colours should be aligned.

Just a quick brush here, a flick of the wrist there,
Your face is cute and beautiful.
Then a little massage on the soles of your feet,
And your joints are now so moveable.

Now, a shimmy on your sides, a wiggle of your hips,
And your core looks exactly as it should.
A few more moves and, tada, there we go,
You look happy and healthy and good.

Your reds all match, your blue is together,
Your white, yellow and green are in sync.
In this moment, I can sit here with you, my Rubik’s cube friend,
Enjoying a celebratory drink.

The Gods Must Be Crazy

The gods must be crazy to create such bad logic,
To validate suffering, pain and distress, they tick,
To allow their existence, ‘cos that’s what logic’s for,
Logic defines the systems and structures which soar.

They must be mad to claim bad weather, all year,
Intervention only points to their responsibility here,
Natural phenomena stands proud with autonomy,
In independence they have expression in taxonomy.

And those car accidents! Ah, how folks claim them,
As god’s doing, for the victim’s edification, ahem;
Joni Eareckson Tada thinks her diving accident divine,
And happened for a godly reason, for her to consign!

Christians are sour to equate a healthy man with god,
Rather than a woman who’s disabled and LBQT, odd,
Because worship should elevate up only when it should,
As it offsets a prejudice, imbalance or personality mood.

Or even a coloured person as god would be far better,
Than a white male that so permeates art and literature,
‘Cos the subliminal has such a strong, pervasive effect,
That some gods today should be dismissed as a defect.

Jazz On a Sunday Afternoon

Dreaming of sounds
zip boom duh duh doooooooooh
Vibrations melt ideas in my mind
my spirit dips doo dada dah

The sax wails Shimari sails jazz prevails

The blues sneaks up like clandestine souls
that move in and out of warm homes at night
Windy sounds sha sha shoooooooooooooh

Sadness: a necessary entity extends from his hand
to the sax to the air to my ear...and straight to my heart

Then the beat quickens
tada tada taaaaah
Applause and laughter
and always smiles after

The sax wailed Shimari sailed and jazz still prevails
