My sweetest dear

My sweetest dear
Whose eyes are my soul's elixir
Five moons upon us
As our dreams bend the stars

That paddock full of wild flowers
Now yields the softest grass
My hands passing over those seeded heads
As the wind sways them to you

We meet there one day
One day, any day , every day
Finally that dream awoken
Nervous hands with nervous eyes

A remedy for our racing hearts
Salves the skin that knows not touch
As the same air saturates us
We yield unto each other

Premium MemberThe Sweetest Joy

Salud to who we don’t have to perform for,
wiping off makeup and the masquerade.
The joy’s quality time and nothing more,
a picnic lunch by the sea the day’s made.

Maybe all we do is just talk and talk
laughing endlessly into the sunset.
Our casual shoes were made for this dock.

That random hooky day’s a clever ploy,
a simple moment fills me with such joy.

Happiness derived from a day at shore
making memories that will never fade.
The unexpected is always in store,
wild are the moments I would never trade.

Caught inside the hustle of the boardwalk,
or on the shore lying back on a blanket.
We don’t ever pause to look at the clock.

Work hard play harder for the sweetest toy,
sharing with your friends all that you enjoy.

Premium MemberSweetest Lie

You may not believe me
But I know it so well
Every lilac tree
Has its own special smell
This I fail to describe
Its expressless to me
Each tree has its own type
Blooming easy and free
There's no equality shared
No familiar democracy
Lilacs fragrances spread
Fugitive meritocracy
Flattering you with the one
Sweetest lie
You are still fair and young
If you give it a try.

My Sweetest Lovely

My sweetest lovely
Cool breeze to my mind
Sealing the cracks in my heart
Filling me with gold

Art is your very breath
From a soul of music
Beauty as your palette
Light dances across you

My sweetest lovely
Ruby red cheeks
Reflect the fire inside
That burns for us

I will hear that laugh
Through air not wires
Touch that skin, warm
Soft but not of cloth

Seal myself against you
Vanish the world outside
So only we exist
In that perfect moment

Sweetest Trap

"Trap—for the ones who mistake affection for devotion, and fall for voices spun from smoke. He never promised me forever. But still, I stayed… oblivious. Drunk on words, blind in the dark, begging the silence to lie"

Then his words—
they don’t help.
They wrap around me like silk
only to choke.

Ancora una volta.
Again.
Again, I fall
for the way he speaks
like I matter.
Like I’m wanted.

But he’s my ladra—
my thief.
My freaking damn heart
is gone,
and he walks
like he never held it.

He smiles,
and I forget the pain.
He speaks,
and I forget the truth.
He lingers in my mind
like a lullaby
sung by a blade.

And I—
God, I still listen.
I still want.
Even knowing
he won’t reach back.

I dream of hands that never held me,
of eyes that never stayed.
Still, I wait,
like longing can rewrite
what silence never said.

He doesn't want me—
that’s the truth.
Even when his voice
is the sweetest trap
I’ve ever begged
to die in.

Premium MemberSweetest Song

The sweetest song is sung by you
It permeates me through and through
And every time that song you sing
A stirring in my heart you bring
Though duly spoken, still a song
Six letters worth, not very long
The sweetest song is one proclaim
It's when I hear you say my name

“Sweet puppy love he does impart-
that flows out from his giant heart!”
                                              _by Poet

Our grandson has a very special pet
who's nine months old, and such a loving one!
If you could see him, surely you'd forget
he's still a puppy wanting to have fun!
He might outpace you on a morning run;
then on your lap, he spreads out long and wide.
One hundred pounds already, and not done;
sweet Bernese Mountain Dog stands tall with pride!
But, how big will he get? I ask myself, wide-eyed.

Premium MemberSettle the Sun

I never said you had to settle for less
this bargain we made
with sweetest handshake.

I'll look to you in the sun
meet where ground gives way to sky..
see if any lingering dreams came true
never to reason how or why.

If evening songs become few
you and I will know just what to do-
For two souls in twilight won
we'll rise and settle the sun.

Singled Out for the Sweetest Serenade

Turning to merge with the happy
herd,
I heard clinking against frosty
 glass --
Ladyfingers escaping tiramisu,
Followed by creamy swirls of
Chocolate mousse --
And beckoned to their shelf, I
asked
If they desired of me to have a
word.

A dolce chorus of confections
confessed
How to my hips they wished to
bestow
Love handles destined to be
caressed
Through the streets of the Feast
Of San Gennaro.

Premium MemberGift to my Sweetest Lover

What can I give you, my sweetest lover
You, who have flaunted the world to me
Unleashed the chills, and the thrills that cover
The fluttering earth and the howling sea?

What must I give you, my sweetest lover
I ought to requite the things you gifted
My desperate soul you restored and uplifted
Responded with passion to its dying plea?

What shall I give you, my sweetest lover?
This wretched gift that breaks the heart in me
I bid you this so you may discover
I have hit the road — left my lover free

Sweetest Dreams Realized

Sweetest dreams realized.
How awesome to receive in life before I’ve died
gifts most prized.

Gladness I feel -
to be like a child wide-eyed
with zeal.

The best
is my life’s ride:
blessed.

Sweetest dreams realized
to be just like a child, wide-eyed -
blessed!

Premium MemberThe Sweetest of Kisses

My tongue tastes the sweetness of your kiss

Both heart and spirit are awake

The long languid suppleness of this

Is almost too much for me to take

My body trembles from your light touch

As you softly caress my cheek

This time with you that I love so much

Is disarming as my knees grow weak

Heart pounds with a shortness of breath

Oh what a delectable sin

And though it draws me closer to death

Still, I can't wait to do it again

Premium MemberGood Day Sweetest Poet

I know it’s very early and I do apologize to wake you up..
Hello, Pangie ~you go and get French coffee in your golden cup.

For my job is to love you write and have you pen poetry!
Because I am your cat, your very wise muse, so heavenly!

You are not here , heaven forbid, to be a mindless poet at all,
But to touch the heartstrings of mankind, that is your true call!

Now please, put on your kimono of imported, turquoise silk!
I, your furry muse after all, need my morning food and milk!

Premium MemberThe Sweetest Ring

if I were a tree, I'd have sixty-two rings.
The fifth one being the thinnest.
There was hardly any rain that year.
Blackness was at its thickest.
Everything was very still...
except for the shining scythe.

Can't say for certain what ring would be the sweetest.
Number thirty-five comes to mind.
It was marbled with humble-somewhat wizened.
Fresh wounds bled lavender...
dreams were glazed in mint.
For the first time I grazed
the orbit of pure contentment.

Maybe the sweetest ring lay just ahead.
Just a spray of prayers away
from the heartbeat of the heavens.
