At the risk of coming off turgid
I offer this tale esoteric
Hoping it’s not found insipid
Nor causes one to be apoplectic
But rather received with alacrity
Without the need for paroxysm
My word there’ll be no chicanery
And avoidance of anachronism
Far from being sesquipedalian
Nor need for any razzmatazz
The tale of the slubberdegullion
Who thought himself full with pizzazz
Though being so supercilious
His affect stirred only dudgeon
Any good was so very fugacious
From this untoward tatterdemalion
Yet still he persisted a mumpsimus
If you will, and worse a panjandrum
So aggravating and rumbustious
Redeeming qualities not a modicum
An unquestioned snollygoster
Given to being quite vagary
An ill-reputed hugger-mugger
And a voice of such cacophony
But I see that you are insouciant
And consider my warning malarkey
Since you wish to be recalcitrant
My apologies for being persnickety
I end my tale of the rapscallion
Without further ado or rigmarole
Avoiding becoming ultracrepidarian
I have met my supererogatory parole

Ann has everyday to plead
That Arthur address her need:
Her wish to on table feed,
Beside Author novels read,
Their three kids move at top speed;
For their first child buy a tweed…
Ann is the plant, Arthur weed,
She can’t shine like a prized steed;
All these cannot True Love breed:
Arthur who won’t counsels heed…
Ann keeps convulsing like reed,
Now taught to kiss him with greed!
This, hence, a matter serious,
Ann’s lover supercilious…
You don’t conclude “Just curious”
For I sense ‘The Injurious.’

Some supercilious types
always think that they are right,
think that we are lowly
and that they are on high,
I give no heed to their meanderings
If it help’s to know I will not be pandering,
to these peoples deluded dreams
for I am the type who believes passionately
in an equal society,
I am happy for them, in mind to believe
that somehow they are better than me
but if they try and lord it over me
then I shall put them straight immediately.

Sometimes we are cruel
Sometimes we are unjust
Sometimes we say hurtful things
and wonder why the sudden lack of trust.
Sometimes we fake an apology
Not because we feel remorse
But because it's better to save face
Than to be ignored
We talk so much about others
Refusing to see faults of our own.
We forget to be kind to one another
and as evidence has shown
We fancy ourselves infallible
'Til our weaknesses are made known
Then we weep the desperate weep
'Cause we are then forced to stroll through life alone
