Premium MemberBright, Sunshiny Days

When it’s dark and gloomy in the middle of the day,
I am inclined to go back to bed and sleep it away
But then when I awaken it’s already dark outside,
I should live in the Land of the Midnight Sun, I sigh.
Obviously, I much prefer bright, sunshiny days
Where I can hike in the woods or relax in my chaise,
Clearly, I’d be most happy living in a tropical zone
Better still, on a forty-foot yacht I can call my own.

Premium MemberSunshiny Kisses

A kind word can be a kiss of sunshine
For someone whom you know is feeling blue.
And if you spread sunshiny kisses freely,
You will soon find them coming back to you.

a pink, calm flowers wallows
sunshiny leaping

while wild, calm flowers wallows
out in morning dew

moisten dainty stems
bursting out of the grounds end
tiny leaves applauds

sunshiny fountain
still pink, calm flowers wallows
on the morning dew

Sunshiny Guilt

A sunshiny day makes you guilty
For staying inside your abode.
You glance out the window and wonder
If you’ve gone against some kind of code.

For who wouldn’t prefer to be outside
To soak up those wonderful rays
Especially since, in the springtime,
There’ll be so many rainy-type days?

That’s why I miss having a terrace
Or patio, porch or a yard
So I could sit out in the sunshine
And all of that guilt disregard.

The best of both worlds at my fingers,
Just steps between inside and out
Would make me a happier camper
And happier poems I would spout.

Premium MemberSunshiny

Okay something upbeat is what I'll write
Bout sunshine, warm temps, when troubles take flight
Your outlook is key
Set your vision free
Make each day sunshiny and full of life

Premium MemberGetting a Grip- a Sunshiny Limerick

Just now I’m feeling quite glum
Of sorrow, here is the sum
No swimming this year
I say with a tear
My mind’s befuddled and dumb

I really need a good splash
To rid my soul of the trash
I need a good swim
For life is now grim
I need to do something rash

The Dolphin, my given name
But now, I’m covered in shame
I’m more like a whale
That’s my sorry tale
But I’m graceful all the same

To Cyprus must take a trip
I’m planning to skinny dip
To be wild and free
Sunshine and some glee
Perhaps, I’ll then get a grip
