IN LIFE’S GREAT EQUATION
Circling myself in a triangle spirit,
Today I squared all my efforts,
And my results doubled:
I added good and got better,
Subtracted evil, and got best;
And when I cubed this,
I achieved more-better-best:-
As weird as it may sound,
Rounding out everything,
It appears that at day's end,
I had a solid and blessed one:
All praises be for my life’s volume
Of God’s love, wisdom, and guidance:-

Numbers don't lie
They just lie where they've landed
They don't land where you planned
Then they got to be examined
The amount of math you can grasp
Well it's probably a fraction
So you add what you can
Until you're going to be subtracted
You say you're good with numbers
Well just come and do my taxes
I ain't saying I know nothing
Or I wasn't out of practice
When the numbers don't add up
I go get up and get my glasses
But when them suckers don't' show up
I figure what were the chances

There's a cloned avatar of the mystical moon
for dreamers in search of a beaming wave
amidst alienated alliterations,
waltzing in zig-zag within my cyborg mind.
I still find neon lights,
that teleport rhyme-less runes
to a realm of subtracted sorrow,
concluding splitting seconds
within divided despair.
Yet, when midnight melancholy multiplies,
murky minutes turn into jumbled jargon.
And Venus emanates clusters of sparkling rays,
flipping letters into endless equations
with amethyst auroras.
So tonight, I'll dance like a flying saucer~
to the magnetic tunes of swirling sapphires,
cosmically cruising above the cyber
canvas of accelerated dreams.

let us face it
we are impacted
when love is betrayed
soul’s light is subtracted
we live in an imperfect world
burning with sin and rage
love’s flag not unfurled
till we come of age

Inspired by "Double Crossing Time" sung by Joe Bonamassa
Some think they can cheat time.
They’re crazy as can be.
For in this world it’s only time
practicing equality.
The minutes and the hours
in everybody’s day
cannot be added or subtracted.
Time you can’t betray.
Perhaps you might extend it
and even have long life,
but death still comes and takes you,
and life still brings you strife.
Some might cut their own life short,
but time goes on….. tick tock
There is no kindness in the face
of a ticking clock.
I’ll just sit and sing the blues
as time moves ever on.
One day I will be here,
but the next day I’ll be gone.

There is an issue we both must face
And it's not that from you I would replace
I'm not being rude or out of place
But I need to have my personal space
I appreciate you find me attractive
It really makes my ego soar high
But from you I really need to be subtracted
You get so close I am starting to be shy
A little distance now and then
Of course we can be friends
But I insist and with haste
Give me my personal space
You sit so close to me we're Siamese twins
You pat my head so much my hair has thin
When we walk our legs almost entwine
When we talk I feel like a mime
You should know I do carry a can of mace
I do admire you for your great taste
My patience I can no longer pace
So spread out, I need my personal space.

Let’s face it, Ironically subscribed,
While being subtracted from the equation.
Wicked witches from the west,
Travel to the east coast,
One named Faith, I’m like I need Hope.
Matter fact I need both.
When it’s time to put in work,
They call me Mr. Get the job done,
Go head and do your research.
Observe each word, if you got time take it,
Eyes looking at input already manipulated.
Stop talking live, you want eyes but the cops watching.
Plants all around this is not God’s garden.
Play the Kings role, end up a martyr.

Lights & Numbers
David J Walker
When he said
Think ahead
I think he was
Thinking of numbers
What I heard
(Silly nerd)
Was seamless dreams
In vivid colors of
Visions in
Slumbers
As the night
Lumbers
alone
Into
Tomorrow
Morning
When numbers are
Subtracted from
The meaning of dreams
And the deep sleep of
dreams is over

Sun overhead
Our shadow is small
Heart heavy as lead
Back against a wall
Consciousness contracted
By believing that the caricature
Is us, magnificence subtracted
Crestfallen at our fallen stature
Within the bubble of illusion
We take to be reality
Sleep walking in delusion
We are our own casualty
Observing our coordinates
From a centred stance
As duality oscillates
We see our schizophrenic dance
In stillness

coaxing elf with green in hair
be my valentine as I lay my heart bare
"the only thing I want is you love me if u can can
I only ask you love me as I am
I'm not looking for perfection
I cant offer you a saint
I offer you I a look inside I give you that trust
I need your strength to guide me
to fight the battles as I must
I need you to remind me of the light we hold within
to not let the darkness win
that there's more to life then hardships
and the things we seek to win.
don't take me out of duty
don't take me out of lust
just take me if I am a man u could be proud to stand beside
I'm offering an open heart I'm offering my hand"
some copywrites goes to heather dale as I used some of her lyrics and added and subtracted words. Thank you heather dale

The best poem
equally to the best song,
is poem of poems and of all
the mantras ... anyway
and renewed others ...
The best poem ever
there will be ... there will always be another
that exceeds it, that
modify ...
That's because originality
of any poem, it is not
totally genuine ... the source
origin was subtracted, but
never before revealed ...
My best poem, don't come
right place, and it's not number one ...
But I offer it to you if you don't have
none... !

If only one is in the room then 10 came over but 3 left and 4 were subtracted, then 2 added but those divided in two, then half left.
How many are in the room?

i can only
go back
in time
in my
mind
but
to
be
five or fifty
five years
of age on
May fifth
at five
fifty
five
a.m.
age 5
at that
time of
day i'd be
off sleeping
and dreaming
of shooting my
stick guns while
playing being
a cowboy
fighting
indians
but if i
we're
fifty
five
i'd be
awake
maybe
sweating in
remembrance
of a day that was five
plus five subtracted from
today's date not knowing then
that in the eighth
month to come
which is five
plus three
on the
14th
four
plus
1
two
planes
would drop
the same bombs
on two different cities
killing many but ending
the 2nd world war for what
it
was
worth

One day I decided to aggregate what I own
Realizing soon enough I couldn't count it all,
Though I never thought I had all that much
What I had was oddly beyond simple math.
Determined I was to know what I'm worth
And I knew the formula for how that works
So I added all assets and deducted liabilities
Yet, never could I derive the right answer.
My assets were tangible, so easy to add up
But when I thought of lives I had touched
And receipt of generosity they bestowed,
I could not appraise the value of their love.
Swiftly I subtracted what I owed to others
Feeling proud of self for I didn't owe much
Till I took account of much that was given
Not expecting from me anything in return.
When I finally accepted futility of my effort
My worth resembled faces of my loved ones,
Not susceptible to any numeric computation
Well beyond the bounds of ordinary cognition.

Of my 36 halves: The latter, spent
accruing 2 subtracted former halves,
is 9, if equal parts divided mint
2 quarters passed 1 – done (tequila math).
Those under 18 have no place in this.
I was 19 when I first learned to drink.
Keystone my freshman year; soph’moric Schlitz.
2 Jager bombed thirsts forced a senior’s shrink.
That 25 uncorked a loveless wine
meant 29 bed wedded Chuckie Cheese.
30 went sober with vows on the line,
so - it's been over the last 6 of these.
What all it equates to? 1 sweet tasty thought:
Deep swallows of Brandy (candied apricot).
