Crossing paths

Strung out tired & emotional
dont even know what we fighting for
Brain fog over-taking the both of us
Tempers short
Sayin mean sht
But don't even know
the reason for it
2 broken souls-
Been through Hell & back
Still love & kindness in their hearts
Is never lacked
Fate pulled them together
Bcus they were made for eachother
That's not doubt a fact
Grew up learning
to survive in this toxic world
Never got a chance
At the life they deserved
Broken but not knowing
Slowly turning colder & colder
As they were growing
Had many masks they wore
Feeling like being loved
was too much of a chore
She lost her faith in the Lord
as his strengthed as he matured
2 souls created and fated
To one day cross paths
And help one another heal
From their undeserved pasts

The rain is pouring outside.
Flash flood warnings are everywhere.
We try to fill bags of sand,
and keep the water from winning.

The storms of our lives are frequent…
at least for some of us.
While others float along in the calm
tributaries of a perfect world.
It may or may not be fair, but it is true.

Yet the squalls…they are teachers.
Tasks for us to undertake with faith.
The sun still exists, just beyond the clouds.
God has not abandoned us.
We are his, now and forever.

This life is short.
Measured by the count of days and days.
Yet, suddenly the storm is ov er and heaven…
is in the distance.
The ever present Light of all that is “good”.

Be cheerful in the dark, celebrate when evil dares to tempt,
As he (very small, insignificant fallen one)
would not waste his time(for it is short also) on the dammed.
Be comforted and strengthed by your trials…
As that is exactly what they are.

Be strong, be faithful,
Fear not what is unknown.
Hold tight to what is real.
The “All Powerful” is beside You!

Beauty Flys

Beauty Flys

I wondered around wondering what my purpose in life was.

I always felt out of place.

Then one day, I could feel a change occurring within myself.

It was like I was in a cocoon; trapped.

I was so lonely.

Then one day I could see the light for the first time, so I strengthed out.

Finally I was free.

There was something different about me.

My body, and color had changed.

I felt beautiful for the first time.

Then, I noticed I had wings.

So I did what felt natural; I spread my wings and with all my might, I started to flap them, and I flew for the first time.

The world was like a new place to me, I could see everything differently.

With all the changes you may go through, it will one day make you into something beautiful.

And beauty always flys

Cordelia

Across the ocean and clear blue sky
For reason, what purpose I kept wondering why?
Dear Lord thou knowest is this the right choice
Comforted and strengthed by the still small voice

I saw her that day my heart did pound
God's will in the Midwest at last I had found
The maker more perfect than a human scout
His ways and purpose past finding out

Dear love in sweet tones I call out to thee
In trembling I wonder will she go with me?
Together to dwell in sweet harmony
Held fast by God's hands in holy matrimony
