One Drop
The rain is pouring outside.
Flash flood warnings are everywhere.
We try to fill bags of sand,
and keep the water from winning.
The storms of our lives are frequent…
at least for some of us.
While others float along in the calm
tributaries of a perfect world.
It may or may not be fair, but it is true.
Yet the squalls…they are teachers.
Tasks for us to undertake with faith.
The sun still exists, just beyond the clouds.
God has not abandoned us.
We are his, now and forever.
This life is short.
Measured by the count of days and days.
Yet, suddenly the storm is ov er and heaven…
is in the distance.
The ever present Light of all that is “good”.
Be cheerful in the dark, celebrate when evil dares to tempt,
As he (very small, insignificant fallen one)
would not waste his time(for it is short also) on the dammed.
Be comforted and strengthed by your trials…
As that is exactly what they are.
Be strong, be faithful,
Fear not what is unknown.
Hold tight to what is real.
The “All Powerful” is beside You!
