Sterilizing Poems

Six Hundred Million Years After The Big Bang

In the universe's tender age,
One billion years past cosmic stage,
First planets spun in newborn light,
Amidst the stars, in endless night.

High radiation filled the skies,
A hostile realm for life's first tries,
Heavy elements scarce, untamed,
In starry cores, their essence claimed.

Chaotic bursts, a fiery dance,
Supernovae's fatal chance,
Gamma rays with deadly might,
Sterilizing planets bright.

Life's cradle needed calmer days,
More time to weave its complex ways,
For elements to spread afar,
Nurtured by the newborn star.

In time, the cosmos found its peace,
Allowing life its sweet release,
But in those early, fiery skies,
Life's tender spark could not arise.

It is warm for these summer golden days.
Fruit is plentiful, before it decays.
Home fruit canning in the kitchen a blaze.

Mason jars and lids are sterilizing,
Pears, peaches, and apple organizing.
Cooking the fruit down, straining, and sizing.

The scrumptious smells that reach out amazing;
The flowing heating steam ever raising.
Appetizing canning labels phrasing.

Clean and back in their places and no trace,
Of utensils, lids and pots in their space.
A smile of finish in the kitchen's grace.

End of Shore

The end of an era is near,
Collapsing like a falling bottle of beer
Sterilizing, internalizing the drunken horde
Never again shall there be a day like it
As the waves crash we near its shores
One front in front of the other
The land feels different
More stable
Silence beckons as seagulls flock in form
End of shores

Premium MemberMinus Coronavirus

Doctors fight
Day and night
To save countless lives
From a virus that does not play by the rules
It attacks us in confined spaces like gyms and indoor swimming pools
Anywhere where germs and bacteria thrive
This coronavirus wants to destroy our lives
Washing our hands and sterilizing them wherever we go
Is part of education. Now we know!
As information spills out day by day
We've learnt that close human contact should be avoided
For the time being. Please obey!
Let's unite
And do what is right

Trying

9/26/16

Before dying
Keep on smiling
And trying
Regardless of when the stars or planets are aligning
And if there ever is a silver lining
In this day and age, little to nothing shall be surprising

Farmers fertilizing
Growing crops that look appetizing
Some of which are used in fine dining

Scientists sterilizing
As well as neutralizing
While analysing
And theorizing
Before and after atomizing

Animals and vehicles in the air flying
Above civilizations thriving
And others struggling to continue surviving

The sun diving and rising
Thunder roaring and lightning
Striking
Providing
A brief form of lighting

On others far too many are spying
And fantasizing
Being untruthful and still lying

Is the proof of our origin still possible of finding?
Out there hiding?
In some kind of writing?
Or gone for good due to conflicts intensifying
And war arriving?

The sun or moon rising
As well as shining
Above locations, great for mining
If you keep eyeing
Your surroundings even on roads that are winding
What happens next just may be disappointing or exciting

Left here on the right
All alone on the left
Stuck somewhere in the middle
How can I get on
This world is passing me by
I can’t live in it
I can’t even think in it
A cacophony of sound from every corner
Sterilizing my brain waves
Flat lining my senses
Slow down
For Christ’s sake
Let me breath
Let me think
Let me be
