Let Me Be

Left here on the right
All alone on the left
Stuck somewhere in the middle
How can I get on
This world is passing me by
I can’t live in it
I can’t even think in it
A cacophony of sound from every corner
Sterilizing my brain waves
Flat lining my senses
Slow down
For Christ’s sake
Let me breath
Let me think
Let me be

Sterilizing my brain waves Flat lining my senses stunning I know depression immobilizes a soul and body. Move if you can, Kilmer. I'm going to Staples to check out the paperclips. (not target, which produces anxiety attacks). It's quiet in Staples and there are a few nonthreatening people. Tomorrow I'll look at the lined pads. I don't mean to make light - but actually it helps if I can just get the frig out that door. love you lots, Kathy

Yes out the door. That is always a challenge. I have so many things here I love. Why leave! :) ~Kilmer

Oh Stephen, your poem is full of pain. I recognize myself in some of your work. Keep writing. Bg

The pain...how long will it last? That is the question. Thanks for reading my work. And understanding. ~Kilmer
