If you have ever had the pleasure of being stalked by a Viking Forest Norwegian Cat
Then you understand what it feels like to be played with before you are eaten.
If you have not, then this poem may not be for you.
For it is the tale of the VFNC and what she is capable of.
She is a magical cat, the queen of cats, the ultimate fat cat if you will.
She stalks her prey, jumping on its back, breaking it, so she can enjoy the taste of the face.
Yes, she is a hunter, this powerful opponent.
She is fast, and she is mighty.
If you have ever been eaten by her
You will appreciate this.
If not, you cannot possibly understand it.
Oh, she is patting you down?
Great.
This is her first step.

A loathsome freezing quack seed walking upon a summer day
Was twisting her back and shaking her bootie in every kind of way
Along came a fluttering pack reed whose feet were made of clay.
He followed along at a distance, enjoying the sight of her sway.
What is that you are following his sister asked from her play.
They had just walked onto the property of their Uncle Willie B. Gay.
It is a loathsome freezing quack seed, he said, in a snotty way.
The quack seed heard him and quickly turned a brilliant ugly gray.
I am being followed by a fluttering pack reed, she told her Aunt May.
Auntie told her to stay on the phone, so she would be safe that day.
Both the quack seed and the pack reed fell into a swamp in the bay.
Disappearing together in a quagmire on the sweet little summer day.

I am the only one who thinks
This all used to be much simpler
From sitting at the bus stop
To now driving to a party
Except you’re not invited to the party
Cuz you’re not a cool kid
Because really most of us aren’t
Only a select few are cool
And that’s what’s wrong with this world.
Standing alone wondering when your life will begin
You trust yourself that you’ll be okay in the end
But the promises to yourself you make
Are only discovered to minutes later break.
Outcast and all other names
They call you that you soon believe are true
See this is what’s wrong with the world
And growing up. And you.
Growing up is supposed to be about freedom
But how can I be free
When I bear the chains of society
On my ankles, walking past
The place I’ve been searching for
And arrived at last
But discover you there
And bow my head in shame
For I thought I would be free
And that I’d forget your name
But that’s not how it works
And everyone is fake
It used to be much simpler
I guess I’ll never escape.

The wind in the willow trees
Is stalking quite near,
It's picked up speed
And it's mocking my fear.
I feel it breathing
Down my neck,
It's chilling my body
And I feel like a wreck.
Please show me a place
Where I can flee,
Where the wind can't watch
Or follow me.
Guide me home
To the warmth of my place,
Where I leave no shadow
For the wind to trace.

There is this guy in my library,
And he's making me very uneasy
I sat next to him one time,
But the choice wasn't mine
It was the only computer open,
And no words were ever spoken
I think he likes me, but I don't see why,
I never once gave him any reply
Monday, he came up from behind and said to me,
I've been reading and copying your poetry
I asked, where did you get it from?
He said nothing, but instead just acted dumb
He said he knows all of my poetry sites,
But he never asked if it was all right
He must have been watching my screen,
And mentally noting what he'd seen
Tuesday, he chased me after I went outside,
And asked me if I wanted a ride
I told him no, I'm waiting for the bus,
And he put up a really big fuss
I'm starting to get really afraid,
And am feeling like an animal's prey
How do I get him to leave me be,
Should I inform mall security?

He followed me in and followed me out
I started to run, he started to shout
footsteps I hear but never look back
breathing I feel, see nothing but black
running in an alley, I've never seen before
looking for an opening, a window or a door
hiding in a corner, sucking in my breath
thinking in advance to avoid my sudden death
closer and closer, the shadow appears
I close my eyes and cover my ears
I come to the end of a very dark street
and turn to my left, it was right next to me
I never look up and never look down,
I'm standing there silently, not making
a sound
I slowly but surely open my eyes
there was nobody there to my surprise
what's wrong with me, am I going blind
how could I not see, this shadow is mine

Panic can grip you,
When you feel
That someone or thing
For you does stalk
A dark future and past
Seems all that you face
How long you might last,
In such a cruel race
Love a memory,
Misery is true now,
And try as you want,
You can't figure out how
Stalked by bad memories,
Stalked by no hope,
Each day you wake up,
Stalked as to how you will cope
When the joy of life
Is replaced by but pain,
And there is no sunshine,
Nothing but rain...
So, if you are lucky,
And have someone
who does care,
Remember those times,
When no one was there
Blessed are
those who know
Such a great joy
Of the love of a girl,
A pet, or a boy...
And those shut out
In a forest of sorrow,
All alone and hating
The thought of tomorrow
Look about you with care
See the beauty that is there
Remember that God
Has a love very rare
You may feel alone,
And stalked by bad fate,
But God is still with you,
There is no debate
So leave the stalks
To the celery,
And rise to your goal
And you may feel for the
first time,
That you feel whole.
