Summer Skies

Summer sizzles shading seashore skies
Singing season songs – solstice surprise --
Sweet salmon sunsets spin splendorous shades
Strawberry sunrise spawns stratus shifting serenades.

Sapphire sky’s secret soliloquys stuns
Shimmering sun sonnets swirling shadows shuns
Soaring solitude surely steals stress shells
So sunbeams spread summer’s signature spell.

Since stormy silver silhouettes suffuse squalls
Stolen solar spall splinters shower shards so small
Summer’s spirit soars, stratosphere specters scamper
Stellar scraps surround sheer space starlit sampler

My Wish Guitar

In my study, against the wall
Stands my wish guitar. And I
Caress it in my arms, let fly
Some chords; Ocean spall.

I feel deep deep down I can
Play and make up a tune;
Sure would be over the moon
If I could play the Twang.

In my study against the wall
Stands my wish guitar;
It's an acoustic semaphore
With notes of rhetoric squall.

In my study, against the wall
Stands my wish guitar and
That's all it is, on its stand ;
Redundant on its stool.

Wall Song

Brown books, or writing on the wall
so tucked away, until the call
of worship ~ Sunday, chance appall
forget your problems, joy install!

Still folded, while the week slips by
the same old problems, reasons why
the brown books, printed, there for all
while little ministry stays small!

Almost a turnkeys make do spall
deserted 'til the others shawl
is tossed to floor, the poorest haul
the Indian's Saint ~ left over Paul!

Who'd rescue this trite flocks recall
part Indian member, family roll
but in her heart ~ Jesus would serve
because the others lost their nerve!

The message, faded printer Songs
now chorus ~ flashed above the Cross
the goodness of the glories roll
stays poor and simple . . . on the Wall!

Predict

Not weathering unorthodox
my writing never stall,
a nasty omen not respect
ungodly not withdraw!

Then draw the line on solitude
forever resting, spall
functions as evil's interlude
embracing where with all!

Some compromise to not inflict
the war games endless fall
the move continues to the quick
but enter not the gall.

The line of doing's registrar
uneasy to install
as monetary service, pick
a winner, loser small!

To kill or not to kill console
and numbers Faith's conflict
while time to save the precious soul
is shortened . . . . . by predict!

Premium Member Neanderthals

Weary of the mindless malls,
We journey out to view the scrawls
Etched by the Neanderthals.

And there compelling to us all,
We stand speechless and enthralled
Observing scenes both large and small.

Of grazing beasts in boundless stalls,
Diffused in peaceful, stoic sprawls
Waiting for nothing, nothing at all.

Look, if you dare, upon the next wall.
Where speared brutes bleed waterfalls;
Caught unawares, we were quite appalled.

Now listen closely to hear the squalls
And whoops and cries of Neanderthals;
Wreaking carnage in that bloody brawl.

The natives succeeded to shock and maul,
Then worked together to bring the haul
Into their prehistoric mess-hall.

An eon ago the creatures stood tall,
Walking nobly, since not made to crawl.
Now blood dyed granite, marks their fall.

It’s time to leave but I try to stall
By using my knife to get a spall,
But not today, my name is called.

Snow Whiteness

SNOW WHITENESS

With what compares this mountain wall,

Except its own image to see?

Majestic peaks turn into spall

In mirror mirror on the sea.

The fairest mural to be seen

Lies beneath the still and empty scene.

Beware the Poet

If you draw your sword so sharp
To skewer me on a night so dark
Stop and ponder what might befall
If my words you chance to spall
A bouquet of thorns, for you I’ll sow it
Take warning fair, beware the poet

I’ll drag your hair out from your crown
Set it aflame to render down
Flesh from bones and skull and pate
Your dome will be my dinner plate
If for your body you care or fret
Take warning fair, beware the poet

I’ll fry your kidney, spleen and lung
Then garnish it with nose and tongue
Your innards I will with pestle pound
And feed them to my trusty hound
Who’ll lap them up with zeal I bet
Take warning fair, beware the poet

I’ll carve your shin bone to a spoon
You’re ears will become two spittoons
Fine shredded cheeks and coarse sliced eyes
Can become lip smacking pies
Each digit will make a fine brochette
Take warning fair, beware the poet

I know ‘twill be a fantastic feast
For family and friends, ten at least
We’ll toast stupidity with your blood
And finish up with sweet, heart pud
It’s no false threat that I emote
Take warning fair, beware the poet

War of Contempt

Without the quest for redemption
The populace play idle games
Gigabits won’t grant exemption
When sovereignty goes up in flames

Genocidal business mission
Funding both sides of each conflict
Stoking the flames of ambition
Bankrupt countries fail by edict

New orders rooted in the past
Proffer real wealth for dead paper
They sow ignorance vile and vast
Freedom dissolving like vapor

Warranted balance sheets dictate
Suitable loss as they see fit
Diseased airwaves warn us to hate
While poisons infect the mess kit

Failing sweet liberty’s daughter
Uranium shells pierce and spall
Embedding explosive slaughter
Self-righteousness annexing all

Peace proves a word of corruption
Imposing control serves their end
Troops and camps to quell eruption
When cheated free souls won’t pretend

Babel rebuilt before our eyes
Covert designs from ancient times
I recognize the Fourth Reich’s rise
Never ignoring their war crimes
