space, the final frontier

if you think about it
space
its mind boggling
the universe
the sheer size of it
galaxies
we'll never explore
worlds
we'll never see
space
the final frontier
nothing else in this life is totally unlimited
except space
the information held
in only the worlds we've never seen
we create poetry
art
but is it forever
nothing is
but space is close
the beings ultimately hidden in it
the words spoken
the stars illuminating the blackness
of space
there is no equal
every history ever written
millions of possibilities
small minds
thinking where the only ones
we can't be
space is simply too big

Space, the final frontier

I'd rather be there my dear

Cuz I'm a man and a Star Trek fan

So beam me up Scotty, I'm here

"To boldly go where no man has gone before."
"Space, the final frontier."
Words by some great seer
for they foretell; the closet of Mi Amor!

Space the Final Frontier

Space the final frontier

Whence endless possibility awaits

Discovered by wonderment of telescopic rovers and spying satellite

Dense with blackend holes
encircled in white smoke
that illuminate the horizon

Where events take place
beyond the means of any human
brain can ever comprehend

Like witnessing a dying star in death
throws burning and imploding inwards
on itself

And a universe of galaxies
expanding banging into life

The Final Frontier

Space ... the final frontier ...
We all have heard that, but the frontier may be not even There ...
...
The waters on a lake are smooth
When noisy day is out.
When nature's vanity away
Is gone with wind around.
.
When all the lights are turning off.
Sweet silence coming down soft
And calmly whispers that a star
Just dived in lake to light from far.
.
And Universe for just a moment
Reflects in lake, so deep and whole.
Eternity, untill first ripples,
Comes so close to your soul.
.
Full chest of breath seems not enough.
And heart at awe will skip a beat.
Nostalgically, voice from far
Will magically call to stars.
.
Forgetting we will try to touch
And try to hug that silent depth.
But all the dreams will fly in splash
And wise reality hits us.
.
The wisdom often is so harsh,
But always gives us lessons:
Before we conquer space,
We better heal This place.

*****Not-So-Sapiens

Humanity’s first born child
Sits, wondering what to do
First Africa, then the world, the seven seas
And then space - the final frontier
He’s the first in line for world domination,
But first he’s got to put the competition
To extinction

A lion never apologised,
For being majestic
Nor will a blue whale ever,
For being gigantic,
But for being human however,
I am apologetic
The burden of knowing,
The gift of dreaming,
Of loving,
Tragic

On a quest for subsistence
An ape stumbled upon reason
And evolved logic
To escape the prehistoric
Ironic
We came down from the trees,
To go up skyscrapers
And formulated mathematics
To go supersonic
Into a space age so scientific
Magic
We the Philosophers,
Poetic
World War I needed a sequel,
Dramatic
To impact on our conscience,
Neurotic
Or did it?
Psychotic

So we his offsping have conquered,
Prolific
We the party animals,
Problematic
We the immortals,
Titanic

Another Day Another Jovian Dollar

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER JOVIAN * DOLLAR

Strolled down to the café to meet the guys,
The braves as we call ourselves in vain.
Get a breath of fresh ammonia from the skies
Maybe a whiff of methane.

Not many red men left now to stand .
White earth dudes tried to kill off all
Of us native Joviandians and
Take whole of Jupiter for themselves in thrall.

Space the final frontier, by Jove
Not moving west now but out.
Treaties made and broken. Where can we rove?
They killed off all the jovalloes, used to roam about.

Even our Jovian satellites are exploited for metals or oil,
And hey, look what happened to the Great Red Spot:
Filled up with earth guys. They have technology for our soil -
Of course, now renamed the Great White Spot.

Still they all must live in a strong steel cavity
Like a captured earth species avian.
Small runts who can't stand up in our big gravity
Makes us jovial Jovians.

Space the final frontier,
Floating up high but no one is near.
You and you alone embrace the unknown
Looking for the way, the way to be shown.

How can this be, the glorious sight,
Blues, greens, reds in all their might.
You reach out, you stretch afar
You gaze upon a cosmic star.

Amazed that you are seeing the past,
Millions of years gone in a flash, gone so fast.
God’s workshop for you to see?
Projects in the making, which is a possibility.

You have entered a galaxy unknown,
You glide swiftly and gently to a planet shown.
Your heart beats with a mixed emotion,
As you speed towards a great blue ocean.

Landing gently like the touch of a kiss,
Overwhelmed instantly with a feeling of bliss.
Sandy beach where you stand is tinted with pink,
Such beauty everywhere, you rub your eyes and blink.

A dream like state watching the two Suns set
Casting amazing shadows and a glorious silhouette.
Your soul set free by the power of now,
To feel beauty is the secret, that is how.
Welling up as you have experienced the truth,
Finding today that you have eternal youth.
