Sounded Out Poems | Examples

Tagore Song

The streak of cloud sounded out loud, "I shall be", the night, an unsung nuance, "shalom"
The ocean assured, "Landed indeed! Reverie, I'm no more and them!"
Sorrow they say,"Speechless we,all, Our may befall the muddy constellation and a hymn!"
and I heard, outcry, "Mingle in all en-compassing , and I , never long , elsewhere in entropy.
A world chants on, "In thine, heaven bestowed a greetings , upon, to greet"
A patsy churn, and the wind adores in high turn ,"For thee, with a lack,
Glowing lanterns are here, I am!"
The love, say," Immortal era and us, we are here, even though this is late.
We, sleepless."
Death crews on "I and thou, shall sail along the journey of life, in hamohharmony."

Cup o Coffee oPeNs my eyes OO*
dArK rOaStEd full-bodied besides
Love the grind of those coffee beans
the way the filtered liquid warms me
makes me steady, ready for the day
Soothing repose, relaxing, pondering
The day’s steaming aroma – effecting
c a l m – nerves, thoughts, emotions
I need those early hours just for me
Before the busyness...Before the clatter
after the drip drip of CrAzY dreams that
Muddy up my mind in motion theatrics
those pretty little beans glisten, listen
To my inner settling, Quiet hEaLiNg

The Sonnet of Our World

In his dying words, Papa said of all Kofi Awoonor’s Poems taught in school
One which still lingers in the chambers of his heart is ‘the Sonnet of our world’
He stuttered, “Son-my son in today’s world everybody is screaming for attention
The intelligent, educated, eloquent, charismatic, all-all-all in fierce contention”

Papa said this is the Sonnet of an embrangled world
He said most will opt to be leaders than followers
They’ll cough out their egos and laud their names
They’ll strive for glory and they’ll never be ashamed

Papa sounded out “most will seek to be the next biggest thing in town
And that’s not important, but what matters is to serve and not to be served
Give yourself to your passion and have integrity in the things no one sees
Love more and laugh harder, and where I am going together we will be”

When I saw Papa pressed in his coffin like bread on a shelf
Unceasing tears rolled from my eyes

Far across the hills and dales,
Ringing o'er the rills and swales:
Ever nearer, ever louder;
Ever dearer, gaining power.
Drawing hearts and minds to one;
Once sounded out, and once begun
Men cannot fail to hear her calling-
Solders freed from fear of falling.

Calling, crying to her sons,
"All must fight till freedom's won."
Leading them to victory;
Leaving them with liberty.

Let Your Love Go Out

Do you care for others, the wounded all around?
Do you care that many have fallen to the ground?
Are you always ready for rescuing the Lost?
Have you spent some time with God counting all the cost?
Are you walking in the blessings and power from above?
Is your motivation for all you do His love?
The watchman on the wall has sounded out
Alert, alert; He’s made the shout
Let your love go forth to everyone around
There’s nothing more important than giving love your ground
You’ll never have a happy day
Never walk the lighted way
Until you decide to love all men
The evil and the good, begin
In love there is the healing for those who are oppressed
Deliverance from evil and rejoicing with the blessed
So walk in love and send it out
To all you meet and know about
That love will lift you up with joy and peace
And you will live a life of blessings that will never ever cease

A Letter To God

I wrote a letter to God and I had to ask why,
He allowed so much suffering and little people had to die?
One’s that had never caused trouble or done anybody harm,
Taken before they experienced life, plucked from their mothers arms.

He said answer me this, why did my son have to suffer and die?
Nailed to that cross I couldn’t even watch, all I could do was turn my head and cry!
What trouble did He cause, what harm did He do?
And all for what, He did it for you.

He said you couldn’t comprehend all the things that daily take place,
And all I ask is your trust till we meet face to face.
He said all things have a reason and someday you will know,
But you must trust in my word so your faith will blossom and grow.

I said Lord please forgive me if I sounded out of line,
It seems like all we ever do is complain, ask for mercy, or whine.
I know that you are busy so I guess I will close,
Thank You for listening and my love I enclose.
