Sunflowers and Ceasefires

Another moment of silence
another flag half mast
another coffin dressed in colors
life's becoming quite a drag

Community garden filled with needles and tomatoes
tiptoe carefully keep the eyes wide open
the air is filled with bullets and black smoke
an asphalt man was selling paper roses.

Monday morning, there's an empty desk at school
wrong place at the wrong time-a Crayola angel died
caught in the crossfire between the reds and blues
grief counselor sooths but things will never be cool.

A child's watching cartoons- a sudden news flash
an arsonist found the perfect house, an entire family's dead
the only thing you can do is turn the channel fast
sunflowers and ceasefires never seem to last.

conjured by her night visions

Fulcrum of a rose

I miss you

I miss you now, miss the scent of your perfume smeared all over my body, just after hugging you tight, feeling our heart signals jamming frequencies around us, miss the melting moisture your hands catches whenever I caress you fingers, I miss the slowly dying feeling of my spine when you sooths your silky soft fingers on my back, miss you now,
I miss the raging flames running in my body streams, whenever you lay your seductive libs on my neck, I mean, the drying marros in my bones, the flashing blank spots in my brain, miss the velocity of my pulse, racing so fast, distributing shivers all over my body, miss you now,

I miss the sound of your voice, as you whisper indistinct words of love in my left ear, I mean, the vibrations in your tone, as they forge their ways into my eardrums, I could sense my body ports, shutting one after the other, miss the pure reflection of me whenever you open your eyes, trapped inside those beautiful eyes, miss the warmth in your laughter, whenever I crack jokes with you, MISS YOU

A Winter Day By the Sea

On a winter's day by the sea, 
Endless blue skies to see. 
Rays of the sun, gentle and kind, 
Foamy waves, a rhythmic grind.
Soft, wet sand with footstep traces, 
Unspoken tales of varied faces.
Seagulls watch, pelicans glide,
Ocean’s beauty surrounds the site.
Satisfying warmth in a lovely stroll, 
Oceanaire’s chilly embrace sooths the soul.

Soul Speak

I Am As I Am complete
Though ego opines otherwise
Invoking grace we feel God’s heartbeat 
Where ese does there remain for us to realize.

 Our soul lovingly speaks to us everyday
wherever we are, wherever we stay
Reminding us of our God’s beautiful gifts
that no life’s trials can carry us to drift.

For we are the handmade of God
created in His wonderful likeness and image
Our body dwells the Holy Spirit
as His temple to make us feel His heartbeat.

He knows what’s in our thoughts
and sentiments of our hearts, He sooths
Inflating our ego and pride
God watches us, He’s always at our side.

It’s God' faithfulness, love and grace
that empower us to deal with our imperfections
Then again our soul speaks within us, I Am as I Am
completely belong to God, a child of my Almighty Creator.

Greatness in Being Yourself

there is greatness in being yourself
delight in knowing what sooths you
who inspires you, what challenges you

there is beauty in being your own best friend
in figuring out what you need today
and what you needed yesterday

there is no one more appealing
or more enthusiastic
than a person who
is their ultimate joyful self

so get to know you
revere yourself
find something to love

be passionate and excited about something
do not expect anyone to live your life for you
or to tell you how to live

only you knows you

Cure for What Ails Me

Afghanistan is the place to go
Lapis Lazuli is brought out in buckets
Her blues shining in the sun
Healing me in spite of myself

A stone that boots your immune system
sooths inflammation, alleviates insomnia
overcomes depression and purifies your blood
I should have brought some relatives with me for this

I go down deep into the cave, swallowing my fear
understanding the benefits will outweigh my feelings
they allow me to choose my own stones
I feel charged, alive, healthier almost instantly.
Lapis Luzuli is the cure for so much that ails me.

Thunder In My Heart

I love thunder clouds,
those flashing battles in the sky,
the sky-high drama sooths me.

As I take my rest,
I imagine great ships
locked in a titanic conflict,
and wonder what side will prevail?

All those dark and light angels
in their armored vessels
so close to each other
engaged in one clashing melee,
until it is hard to tell which is which!

Love to feel those loud reports,
the mighty reverberations
of this eternal arial warfare,
as it rolls and pitches,
turning in circles
around my peaceful mind.

Perceptiveness and sees
Perfectly into soul's
Personality's depths
Persuasively plays
Piano with rigor
Phenomenally sooths

It sounds warm
Framed in dust
Weak
Paved in rust
But still sooths the anchor
Claims the difference
While raging an instance
Beneath the tree of life
Red is eye-catching
Red is said to be
