Sonorous Sound
into the clouds
my spirit
flew up high
and then flew
downward fast
and faster
into blue
alabaster
a troubadour of song renown
followed it the way down
happy when both were met
the melodious duo
sang the song my spirit
loftily sought and found
together spread the word
God is Love in sonorous sound

Sonorous Summer
God’s green earth
is
sonorous in Summer.
Espoused under
a
red rose wedding arch,
white sun, blue sky,
rings of brilliant gold.
First dance, first sip
of
flutes of champagne,
belong
to the celebrated
couple.
bride throws a plentiful bouquet
caught
by one of the hopeful.
the honeymooners
leave
as a trail of tin cans
bounce
and a JUST MARRIED sign
catches
all other driver’s eyes
hoops and hollers,
horns resound.
here comes the marriage,
noisy and blessed.

Elohims Breath
Elohim’s Breath
David J Walker
He read aloud
in a sonorous voice
the words of choice
foreign
musical
imposing
deep and full
its not what he read
from the language dead
nor even what he might
have been saying
He could have been
saying
anything
and my soul would have
believed him
words at a cost
are always lost
in limited
translation
in a

Sonorous Shadow
Sunset colors compose the requiem for trailing twilight,
nebulous clumps of nimbus clouds sing on their flight,
rains cascading with the falling sky make melody of tear,
the sodden shards of shattered hearts can only hear.
As sea swells with ruins of smoky sky on tide of emotion,
the waves dance with the storm in

Sonorous Voice
L-et the sonorous voice of faith
E-xpose the lies of the devil;
N-ever let the good act turn
I-nto deed dark and
E-vil.
D-on't let the sonorous voice of hope
E-vade the ears that listen;
L-et the sacred sound and talk
O-bliterate the curse of
S-in.
S-peak with sonorous voice of love,
A-iming to forgive and forget;
N-either rage nor hate is heard,

Sonorous Insult
(after Robert Desnos)
I spit in the eye
of the father of the bride
of the blacksmith who made the axe
with which the lumberjacks
cut down the big old oak
with a hundred lusty strokes
and which they split in half
and from which the bed was carved
(with a swag of fruit and

The Sonorous and the Mad
Oh, Eureeka!
The gods have given us Earth!
And look! Eyes!
Have you seen this before?
Are you awake?
The eruption of senses of every new moment!
No, no, I'm not bipolar.
No, no this isn't a manic state.
This is man's brave notation,
The recording of our communal elation!
Sing right; sing wrong.
Blare it out loud!
There is love to be had.
The sonorous and the
