Sonorous Summer
God’s green earth
is
sonorous in Summer.
Espoused under
a
red rose wedding arch,
white sun, blue sky,
rings of brilliant gold.
First dance, first sip
of
flutes of champagne,
belong
to the celebrated
couple.
bride throws a plentiful bouquet
caught
by one of the hopeful.
the honeymooners
leave
as a trail of tin cans
bounce
and a JUST MARRIED sign
catches
all other driver’s eyes
hoops and hollers,
horns resound.
here comes the marriage,
noisy and blessed.
