Hear ,Ariel,Hear the Language of Kindness

Ariel! Rise again to walk n run,
No stump or thorn to ache your paws;
A living room is ready,
Warm arms all set for a hug.

Livia Pereira snuggling into your ears,
Lays you on mattress amid heap of kisses,
Propping up packets of toilet rolls ,
Raquet n Livia together speaking kindness.

Open your eyes to see
Men and animals can be friends,
Shake your golden mane
To dust your distrust on man.

After all we ’re all animals,
One is social, the other communal,
It is evolution that may heal
To make you too social.

Kindness and love a divine touch
That may mend any fatal lacks,
Ariel,rise ,rise to see the sunrise
,Writ with beams of human pats.

  Written after viewing a visual on Ariel,the 3 year old lion owned by Raquel Borges,that
was struck down by a viral attack which paralysed its 4 legs.It is under active care of
vet Livia Pereira in her home.

Life Can Be a Joke That Makes You Cry

Sometimes people manipulate circumstances point fingers;
And paint accusatory renderings of destruction;
Muted with the colors of intention to misdirect and discredit.
But when the dust settles the flags of honor can still be seen flying
And even though a house of love may be under siege;
There may be some still looking to acquire entrance;
Because there is often kindness;
And encouragement to believe in one’s self;
Even though the finger painters have told everyone they shouldn’t.
And some defenders may grow weary but continue on for reasons unknown
Yet dare to stress the importance of;
Never defecating where you eat;
Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer;
Because life can be a distorted reflection;
Of what seems larger than it really is.

Honesty

How can you ask a question
Just to have it thrown in your face,
Or the answers an obvious chance for,
Any lie to come take its place...
The eyes may fall and the lips may shudder,
As something parts from their lips,
Denying it all in words they stutter,
While truth keeps losing its grip...
Sometimes you wait a moment or two,
Since we all have made a mistake,
Giving them time not given to you,
So they may see what it takes..
It's the fear of what you may think,
That's adding to their reaction,
If what you hear's not within sync,
Then let them do the subtraction...
So once they learn what honesty means,
Begin to trust what they say,
But if you discern its not in their genes,
Then to them its just a cliche...

Best I Can Do

My soul may be captured, or even maybe raptured.
What I know is that I have lived the best I can do.
My soul may be pleased or maybe it will be teased.
Though, I still have made an effort to be humble,
Will my spirit be tortured or be blessed in an orchard.
I honestly will never know, till bidding this world adieu.
Within life, we are on tour, and no one is pure.
I will continue, on my track, until my last tumble.

What I Think

As we grow we make decisions and mistakes

You may go downhill or you may go uphill

Whatsoever the case you make choices

that make or break you

some people we tend to make part of our lives

who may hurt,bruise,scar or treat us

the way we shouldn't be treated

,but their is someone who cares about the broken-hearted

it can be what you believe in or who loves you or even me

i want to help those who have faced the same things as i or different

i want to help change the world into something good that will help us all

Honesty and Promptness Are Required

Uncle Sam demands you file your taxes timely,
no excuses accepted...he will impose a fine;
don't think of committing the perfect crime...
court appearance and jail time await the sly!

As anyone can see, honesty and promptness are required...
and to save money, you may choose to file your own taxes,
but be aware of the fine print leading to consequences;
is TurboTax the answer? Don't trust it, you may be fined!

Ask for an extension? Isn't it quite costly?
Can you pay on time to avoid the extra fee?
Now, don't make plans to buy an expensive plasma tv,
you willl have a better chance at winning the Lottery!

Heed my advice and do everything legally and expeditiously,
I have done this for forty-three years and never cheated;
I slept at night, and woke up without worrying daily...
reminding myself that honesty and promptness are required!

The Forgotten Jesus

All the beauty of decorations point to a folly reason,
and everywhere our curious and astonished eyes turn this season:
is about commercial profit and insane shopping sprees...
no, nobody seems aware of the glory of the forgotten Jesus!

If money squandering weren't on anybody's mind,
we would have less worries and sleep soundly as a child;
ever wonder if the Devil had something to do with this?
Believe it, He is the cause of unrest and unhappiness!

We can still redeem ourselves by washing our souls of greed;
imagine how sad and inhuman is to watch the forgotten Jesus
with no visitors rushing to the stable to proclaim Him a King who'll lead:
let's all greet Him and and really value the true meaning of Christmas!

All children may be disappointed about this, sudden drastic change...
getting neither expensive toys nor stuffed stockings on Christmas Eve;
and they may cry...believing that we are the Scrooges of a modern age,
but once they come to visit the forgotten Jesus, they could never leave!

Passionate Friends

Friendship is the deepest emotional gift that can be known.
You may have many friends in life, but there will be one.
This is the inner boundary of your soul, once they begun.
Sharing in your life, sharing so many things together alone,
There may be hazards of being so close; passions are shown.
In addition, there are joys and many benefits, loving to share fun.
By grace of true integrity, either shall never fall under the gun.

True friendships may falter with periods of loss from both lives.
However, they will and can be rekindled, for they are rich indeed.
Friends are like lovers the difficulties are sharp as knives.
That is truly, what makes a strong friendship building from a seed.
Friends indeed, never bleed; the endearment completely survives
Forever and beyond the attachments grow, true friends never concede.

My Theory of Moles

I have a theory about mole from the Mexican cuisine.
Some will make you happy, others may make you mean.

They are prepared in many different arrangements you see.
Many of certain special ingredients in a labeled degree,

Some are black, red, and green and may be others as well.
Rich in flavors, and textured ingredients, they do tell.

I have only tasted one in my life; I did not like it at all.
However, I have not discounted them, out of my culinary call.

I also feel they are like the gravies we have here in the states.
My grandmothers and now wife, made different plates.

They all taste uniquely unlike, but I enjoyed them well.
Though right now I must say, my wife’s is tastiest to tell.

May Soon Be

Used to drive by in my car
Shake my head, look the other way
Used to think get a job
And get off the street
And now, it’s a place
I may soon be
Used to walk on by
Or cross to the other side
Thinking they had no pride
Now it’s a place
I may soon be
Heard all the stories
Of rich men falling
Being lost and forgotten
Now it’s a place
I may soon be
Used to scoff at their college education
The thought they ever had a mansion
Business suits and cars
Now it’s a place
I may soon be
I’m not there yet
But I can see it near
I see those storm clouds
Searching for me
I can see my efforts
Being for naught
And soon being caught
I can see losing the choice
Of what to keep
Being in far too deep
And looking through the car window
From the other side
Funny how perspective changes
Depending on where you stand
How quickly you begin to understand
When it’s a place
You may soon be

Mixed Couple On the Morning Train

Mixed Couple on the Morning Train

			Chicago, 2009

Because he works in an office and is white
and because she who tans anyway has just
returned from a week at the Beach,
the commuters are certain she’s not black
yet they rustle in their seats.

They want to see her hands flick.
They want to see if rivers run dark
through ivory palms.

Martin may be dead
and Obama may have won
but in Chicago this morning at dawn
a rainbow of people
still rustle in their seats.

Huge Thank You

To Everyone on PoetrySoup.com...You have all blessed me with your kind words of
encouragement. It has been such a treasure to have found this website and all of you. I am
a firm believer that things are meant to be and there is a reason for everything that happens
to us. It may not be what we expect or want, yet the plan is bigger and better then we could
ever imagine. As I'm sure you can tell by my poems that my life hasn't been exactly what I
dreamt it would ever be. I thank the Good Lord everyday for my two teenage, beautiful
children (although there are days... LOL).

I'm going through an extremely rough patch right now so it has been so exciting to see that
my "Letting Go" poem has made it through the 1st round of the contest. It is because of all
of you that I continue to write - it shows me that it definitely helps getting everything off my
chest and on paper.

Thank you again for ALL of YOUR support and love and may you all have a blessed 2010 and
a VERY Merry Christmas!!!!

Luv,
Kelly

Words That Are Spoken In Vein

Words that are spoken in vein

Written By Dean Masciarelli

December 9, 2009

Words that are spoken in vein

About anyone

Can only lead to bigger problems

That’s why I’ve never been
one to share my conversations
that I may have had with my friends

And even with people that
I may not know that well

Because it shows them
that I have a mutual respect
for each and every one of them

I just hope and pray that they
would do the same things in return

Double Shelf

Who knows who, do you know yourself.
One may claim too, within mind is a shelf.
There may be you, along with another to hide.
Without a clue, Lost in a wayward pride,
Nothing is new; all has traveled before.
Everything in view, behind closed door,
One mind split two, stays to an encore.
Powerful shades of blue, decorate more.
Who’s to say they flew, raging the score.
Divided just a few, memories galore.
This mind never blew, held with allure.
Your mind may woo, but never tore.
Captivated in zoo, do you know yourself
A step from a few, .all placed upon shelf.

Friendship (Prime)

Young,
Friendship,
Forever,
Secure in the mind
Though may be short lived in time.
Because of peer pressure, they may flush closeness.
