How powrful your clothes can be?
They can make you feel 10 feet tall,
Or they can make you feel exceedingly small.
They can make you feel as if you just float,
Or make you feel youv'e just stepped off of a boat.
Styles they come and they go,
Some are practical and some for show.
Some keep you warm and flimsy ones can make you feel cold,
You certainly need more and more as you get old.
But the most important one's are not tailored and worn with a polished boot,
No the best one is your birthday suit!
minstrels in small boat
in the squaller of the sea -
medium of muse
meditation of raindrops
maestro’s wand in crescendo
Drift a small boat with two paddles
In the sky above
Swiftly passes by the lake surface
A frightened swan
Clear blue sky painted with
The green mountains
All the beautiful scene is
Taken by the still water
Waveless lake shapes like a mirror
With countable fish swimming
In clear water
On the sandbank by the river
White birds take a leisurely perch thereon
Look like you
Look like me
On small, little boat
Some water leaking inside
The pond free of mist
I wait for just her to come
With her joyful tenderness
I watch with both eyes
Looking near edge of the pond
She appears smiling
Dressed in some old ragged clothes
But beautiful in my eyes
I reach shallow shore
Help her in the tiny boat
Off we go forward
To leave the life we once knew
Behind us, to live ahead
For all of our lives
We finally go onward
Our boat moves on down
Peaceful life to live beyond
Two hearts in love, unison
Russell Sivey
Like a small boat
In the vast sea
Bow and aft
Sits you and me
Conquering storms
Breaching waves
Riding whirlpools
Together we stayed
Until one day
A crack begins
The side of our boat
An unforgiving sin
Silently growing
Day and night
But we cannot fix
This scary sight
Larger and longer
A poisonous snake
Becoming too much
For our boat to take
Splitting apart
You in bow, me in aft
The current carries us
In it's endless laugh
Apart, apart
In the waves
Our halves of the boat
Riding farther away
You from me
And me from you
I look out
And reach for you
But we're too far
Winds too strong
Sea too vast
An endless song
To this day
I keep trying to find
You and your half
Our boat still whines
For it's bow is missing
Torn from it's aft
Will not be whole
Until finding your half
But all your footprints
Leads away
And I know that you
Plan to stay that way
Like water and oil
You keep us apart
While I keep trying to fix it
You keep breaking my heart.
A wind that follows,
first dawn on your eye-lids,
small boat that rocks,
for unseen they pleasure floated midway on the waves.
