Gullible I am
Gullible I will always be
Been burnt many a time
Lesson learnt….No Siree!
Soft hearted, trusting
Is who I am
Will I ever change
Lesson learnt…No Ma’am!

Pardon me, buzzing bee
Do you think that you are free
No siree. Nor have I ever been...
Here comes my empress

My Uncle Lotcha was an embalmer, you see,
He took care of all the dead in our family
Exactly what he did was always a mystery to me
When he was busy embalming, we let him be.
We knew for his services he charged a huge fee
When he got a body, he was filled with glee
He really enjoyed his work, another mystery,
When I think of it, his job matched him to a tee.
He was very somber and dressed meticulously
I never saw Uncle Lotcha climbing up a tree,
I never recall seeing grass stains on his knee
He was always perfectly proper, yes siree!

Oh how I miss my darling dog
The walks
The licks
The coming home
The snuggles
The unconditional love
Too old to get another
For he would outlive me
besides I have the wretched P
To have a dog now
No siree
Below me lives
my dearest friend
Who has the sweetest boy
His name is darling Snowy
their company I enjoy
So even though he isn’t mine
I see him almost any time
Gently stroke him
Hold him close
Always pleased to see me
but loves his “Mum” the most
"Mum" and I we often meet
and have a drink or two
an earl grey tea is good for me
a glass of sparkling wine may be
We sit and chat 'bout this and that
with darling Snowy by my side
the licks
the love
he doth provide…

Glancing at the darkest night
A sparkling jewel I see
She shineth down on me
She is the prettiest I have seen
So very sparkly is she
As she twinkles up above
She truly is the one I love
Though not in blue jeans
not at all
For she is dressed up for a ball
So sparkly is she
Inspiring my poetry
A million diamonds
cascade down
Venus in blue jeans
Not for me
Dressed to impress
in her very best gown
On the darkest night
So sparkly and bright
She truly lights up the town
A million
no a trillion
diamonds I do see
Sparkling down on me
Venus in blue jeans
No siree
Dressed to impress in her best ball gown
this jean less Venus is shining down

He looked like the cat that licked the cream,
When he first appeared on the TV scene,
Time has not changed him, no siree,
He's as vain as any man can be.

I'm not trying to mince any of my words
no siree, not anymore
No more acting like he only means me well
Well done baba
Just gone and woke up the beast in me
take heed buti
Best walk away now no need to be mean
Farewell fam
Never ever meant to do you any harm
Stay safe tsotsi
Don't start nuttin won't be nuttin for real
No more baiting chomi
If you bait I'll bite, ever keen to pick the dare
That's the deal cuzzie
Now go on and shake it loose if you care
That's right go on and let it go, its got no juice
None, not anymore
None, not anymore

Whiteness falling whirling white swift volley
In the crisp hushed winter's cold bite degree
Nipping flakes light dark night body lolly
Gathers on glass pane quite liberally
Dusk begins to wane, relaxing white sea
Whiteness falling whirling white swift volley
I wake up with the halls deck with holly
Daze, dash down the halls, dive under the tree
Nipping flakes light dark night body lolly
Filled with light , I'm in heaven most jolly
I cheer on one knee, Christmas gifts for me
Whiteness falling whirling white swift volley
The dawn brought new-fallen snow. Oh! Golly!
Outside world cloak in white glitter to see
Nipping flakes light dark night body lolly
Hope Santa knows I've been nice, wishfully
There wouldn't be a single toy; yes siree
Whiteness falling whirling white swift volley
Nipping flakes light dark night body lolly

Me and me be a baobab tree,
yes siree
I and I have very long longevity ...
no ma’am,
this bark speak no rot falsity
A thousand years seems like
only a day to this coniferous body
Got a blessed budding life personality
This ancient root soul
seek to ascend always deciduously
Upward,
upward ... ever branch bravely
Many rings of joy and sorrow candidly
have savannah clouds strengthen
an inner resolve to grow tall fear free
A boundless courage namely
Plain truth breathing
is the only long life way to be
My and my baobab destiny
has an unlimited joyous canopy
Plenty bright posterity leaf and leaf,
so future sun beaming happy
Always deciduously ascending
upward
Ever upward eternally

Who killed the cat? Not me!
I didn't do that, no siree.
I killed the bunny
And thought it was funny
But didn't make the cat go splat.
Who killed the cat? Did you?
Fed her to the tiger in the zoo?
I killed your momma
Cuz you killed my lama
So did you kill the old cat too?
Who left the cat quite dead?
An arrow sticking through her head!
We all drove our minis
To run over guineas
But who killed the cat instead?

Limerick crochetés: Once North Koreans joined South cousins
Once North Koreans joined South cousins
Agreed to let drop divisive sins
Formed one team ice-hockey
Won bronze not so lucky
Each side said: “Not for US, no side wins!”
Both sides appealed to prize committee
Some judges with none could agree:
“South on its own could win
Gold!” said Pence swilling gin
Kim Jong-un said: “No, Siree!”
“Next time round we’ll stage World Jamboree
South will pay for nukes in joint country!
Not cash but solid gold
Stand on launching pad bold
Remember who stood by US in ’53!”

My bestest of friends are here on the Soup
Friends to the end, I'd even jump through hoops
If they asked me
Probably fall, yes siree
Sure hope in my dungarees I'd surely not poop!

They could eat my parts, a meal for free
Refuse to cooperate
Would like to generate
Good will and refuse to be a meal, no siree

If there ain't no Bacon in Heaven
I'm gonna keep right on sinning
For hell's where I rather be
If I can enjoy my BLT
Now don't be a judging
No use of nudging
If there ain't no Bacon in Heaven
Then Heaven ain't for me
That pure smell of delight
That gets you to jump up from night
Bacon for breakfast, yes siree
Bacon Bacon all for me
The smell of Bacon
The taste of Bacon
The flavor of Bacon
Crispy, chewy, fry or bake
Bacon Bacon for goodness sake
If there ain't no Bacon in Heaven
That's hard for me to believe
For how could there be no Bacon in Heaven
When Oscar Mayer is the patron saint of meat candy
Yes there is Bacon in Heaven
Saint Peter those angel wings are mine
The taste of Bacon can only be Divine.
