the desert is mystically alluring at sunset, looking docile and safe
few sights are as gorgeous as her evening skies of oranges and pinks
those who know, do not venture out after dark
for the desert is like a dangerous woman who looks unassuming
but is anything but
in the crooks and crevices of sand dunes and cacti there are dangers
hidden from most.
scorpions, camel spiders, tarantulas.
thorny devils, iguanas, and sidewinder rattlesnakes
the beauty of the desert sometimes obliterates these facts.
it would be rare to encounter a fennec fox, badger or muskrat
but they are there too, and could become violent if startled or crossed.
the desert is a beauty; but a vulture or bald eagle could swoop down
and carry you off and your little dog too.

We wish he was photoshopped said Neal.
But alas, this sidewinder giant shrimp was real
He climbed onto our boat and scared the tootsie out of me
Thanks to this giant, our boat tipped over a total of three.
We were terrified we were all going to drowned
But that giant monster turned our boat around
Snatched us up from the sea and gave each of us a spank
It was unbelievable! But amused our Captain Sir Hank.

Scrub deserts, farm fields, rainforests, woodlands,
let's question where our next breed will succeed,
by sidewinder snakes and kit fox badlands,
or jaguars, green anacondas need,
then black bears, wild boars, and, bats, or that bat,
till there's cows, pigs, goats, and then there'll be sheep.
This would be their home, and that would be that.
A time when wrists were stars, beneath they sleep.
Save for the one John called the Good Shepherd,
who's constant as the stars that compliment
their coexistence, e'er brightly peppered,
no sleep or time be mankind's argument.
John's Good Shepherd, Paul's Great Shepherd, the same,
Christ the Redeemer, Bless His Holy Name.

Rod Humphries was raging
As Keir Starmer came staging
You covid conniver!
Such lies lit this pyre'
Neath the sign of the Raven
He inferred of Keir coward craven'
Undeterred by a minder
He barred the sidewinder
Now more are wiser
We await a decider'

When I came home
I understood
that nothing could be the same
I’d never perceive
the world like you
after the horrors--- that I'd seen
I can hear
the roaring thunder
bombs--- exploding on the deck
phoenix
sparrow
sidewinder rockets
scaring more--- than just the ship
the sound of friendly fire
burping out random death
aTomcats Gatling gun---
spews bullets across the deck
acidic smoke
from burning bodies
the smell--- of human flesh
blown out chest
severed limbs
trialed through--- entangled organs
and decapitated bodies
who's eyes no longer see
for the lingering dead
neither friend or foe
I vomit out--- sanity
for night gives birth
to mental demons
my days--- are haunted memories
they shipped me home
but I’m just a token
not the man I used to be

To tell you the truth?
Or just tell lies?
It's a dance with words.
Whatever the price.
Questions directed and questions divided.
I can't get an answer.
No matter how hard I try.
Step to the side.
Leave your patterns in the sand.
Dancing in your mind.
Telling lies like a man.
Slither back to your hole.
Nobody wants to hear it.
I've gathered all the evidence.
And you'll probably fear it.
Unusual behavior from someone with something to hide.
The clues all point to dishonesty.
The more you speak.
The deeper the hole gets.
The explanations are weak.
And we know you don't give a ****.

As I think of something to write I found myself floating in the wavy currents of my
thoughts
I felt the cold wind embrace my whole being and made me shiver:
Summer is coming to its endas the clouds give birth to the vapor of rain,
Soon the once dry and craked visage of Gaea will be as smooth as the China
Soon the dust-covered foliage will be as shiny as the newly-sprout beans,
Soon the hot breath of Zephyr will be as cold as the heart of the Ice Queen
And soon the traces of the sidewinder will be a mere remnant of the past.
Summer is now getting ready for its farewell,
While the sky is now ready to shed its tears.
This is the moment;
Moment for us to nid farewell to the reigning sun
And start embracing the coming of the majestic rain.

There’s a ‘Sidewinder’ in the old garage
At least that is what my brother yelled
Running through the bamboo canes playing
‘Tag, I got you and you’re it’!
Well I almost got tagged...
Now I’m too little to know what a ‘Sidewinder’ is,
but one thing I do know, even as young as I am,
I don’t like snakes!
So I am still running,
breaking through these tall, thick canes...
Like I am ‘super girl’
and that ‘Sidewinder’ is ‘super snake’,
even though he is now left far behind!
I didn’t get ‘tagged’
And I am not it!

Nimbus clouds form original artwork
Cuddled with their feathery friends,
Floating with the convectional current,
Fostered by directional winds.
Palm trees shake and wave goodbye,
Bid farewell with verdant hands,
Roaming the desert on a camel's hump,
Chasing a patch of shaded sand.
Scorching grains like fiery coal,
Shelter, slithering, sidewinder snakes.
Plants are nourished by natural wells,
An oasis fueled by underground lakes.
Vultures soar and scavenge dunes,
A dying beast calls the flock,
Sharpened beaks smell rotten meat,
Ascend on flesh, bone and rock.
