Just Too Much
This conversation hurts
Just too much.
It used to be picture (perfect here.)
But now, everything’s not how it used
To be.
I guess you can never really go home again....

Home Again
can’t go home again
it was bad for me
doctor did me bad
and no one believed
because of my head

on Turkey Day
called a rapist
by my best friend
Mom gave me hell

long ago
all is calm
I’m happy

thankful
for life
always

live...

Home sweet home
Heavenly body, hurtling forward, carrying me home.
Home to where my heart is, home to where my family is,
Home sweet home.

Can you never go home again?
Will it never be the same as my memories?

I need my familiar things, familiar ways
I need to replenish myself; renew the ties that bind
Repair the bonds that must be stretched so far, to where we are now....

Bloom On
Someone said,"You can't go home again."
but would you really want to?
to waste your time in wishing is a sin.
Maybe God has a better plan for you.

So just bloom where you're planted,
and leave the rest to Him,
then don't worry when you hear...........
"You can't go home again".

by Vernette Hutcherson and Johnette Loefgren
(she taught me everything I know)...

Joe Can'T Go Home Again
Joe Can’t Go Home Again

By Elton Camp

It’s an especially bad feeling
Cherished memories stealing

A place one’s lived most of his life
Torn down is like the cut of a knife

It isn’t possible anymore
To enter a familiar door

Rooms where a man has slept
Are unworthy of being kept

Only an empty lot to see
Where home used to be

Poor Joe watches with utter dismay
As his long-time home is torn away

His emotions it does assail
Demolishing the County Jail...

The Disposessed
I am one of the disposessed
you took my land from the north
east and west
you took my home and you
took the best,
how can my broken heart rest?
you ran us south to the
dark endless sea
to live in the swamp
to survive and be free
seminole people
to renegades be
how can my broken heart rest?
there'll come a time
when we'll go home again
a time when our troubles
will blow like the wind
a time when I'll say every man
is my friend
and I'll see all those broken
hearts mend....
