Out of Sight
Elderly Ed Yates had trouble seeing
but he kept on driving unperceiving.
Alas one day he slipped
and he and his car flipped.
The mess he left was beyond conceiving....

Blind Minds
On a lonely shore crowded with people
I dropped a pebble into a rock pool
Saw ripples obliterate the sky
Smothering voices of Yates and Goldsmith
Gods are not heard in underwater minds...

Steers
Did you ever want to ride on the range
wear a tin star
be a cowboy?
no?
strange
I did.

I wanted to rustle some beef
take them across the Rio..
shoot it out with
Lee Van Cleef.

I wanted Rowdy Yates
to wait for me
wanted to drink sour mash rotgut
in Tennessee,
see the Mississippi and
cry yippee ki yay,

not to be
except
on the TV....

Grandpa elephant needs his nap really bad
The party was excellent! Isn’t that right, Dad?
He realizes they are speaking to him and he smiles.
His attention is far far away, down many country miles.

His wife has been in heaven for at least ten years now.
Sticking around with a worn out body is not quite a wow.
He wants to join her, he dreams of heaven’s pearly gates.
“Maybe you can get to 110,” says his ignorant nephew Yates....

Look Into My Eyes
Look into my eyes.

Look into my eyes and you will see a halo with a beautiful
pair of wings of heavenly white and a pure heart with a loving soul.
This is what you see when I am looking at you as a whole.

Look into my eyes and see the glow of your beautiful soul.
You will see your heart of gold with your wings of sincerity
that holds my soul. This is what you see when you look in my
 eyes of clarity.

Tears From the Heart Sent From Heaven
TEARS FROM THE HEART SENT FROM HEAVEN!

Tears from the heart, we ask how and why do they start?

Drops of growth we take for granite,
 a sign of life,
 a sign of passing,
 a sign of pain,
a lost love we may never regain.

A sign from God cleansing your soul
and making room for a new start to be whole.

This is how the man up stairs floods your eyes
and puts you on a path and
meads a broken heart for a new start.

Lost Love Ones
LOST LOVE ONES

For every day we lose a loved one, its a jab to the heart.
For the loved one its a new start.
Where the grass is green, the air is clean,
and hate is far and few between.

There past family and friends have set a party
for the coming of the new addition the newest angel sent to heaven for admission.
So open your heart, close your eyes.
For when it is your time you will all get your angel surprise.
