Premium Member Thought of the day

death’s the ultimate earth life test
a reality check that chokes
what we hold onto fate does wrest
whence we see this dream life’s a hoax

Life is a series of tests
        armies of unwelcome guests

wave after wave of insect pests ~
From them a crown you must wrest

Premium Member Church of Ice

A glassy sea of crystalline degrees
sustain a mass of icebergs in its pews
that lift their icy eyes in melting pleas
to wrest the dying of their waning hues.

He Sayeth Gaea Gaea Wrested and Championed

I HAVE SEEN GOD FACE TO FACE
A SATAN HAST WRESTED ME TO NO END
I AM THE GOD THAT HE SPEAKEST OF
THAT HAST WREST LOOSE THE
TALUS
AND NOW I STAND BEFORE THESE
MEN SUPERIOR AND BEST
AND UNRAVELED BY THE APPROACH
OF THOSE WHO WISH ME
UNDONE

By Felt Aliveness (Alliteration)

Moon morning mean at dawning by
with wrest winter the field tree
great ground glances from any posted are
revels reface refuse, not heaven
deny deeply delight, not of birds’ sings
melody must mix with the dawning
Souls by eminent feeling are aliveness.

Tress'

Hope cradles for its faction ~ nest
the will to live, a place to rest
and age disciples, as is blest
while dreams recycle, best by best!

Yet through some ministry's ingest
a truth survives, not counterfeit
that time is not the combing's wrest,
but faith's forebearance adds the tress'!

The Mystery of Love

Do the heavens, live far from this hell,
does the Earthfall, for the sun to rise?
Yet too deep for mortal measure,
is the ocean, that's been called your eyes.

Wrest the secret of the ages,
of pyramids and scratches on stone.
One mystery lies beyond solving,
your heart that beats against my own!

Each God Given Day

A bird’s life … Mean and meager Eking out A hard existence Each and every day… Yet always they strive Are e’er eager Existing out of Pure persistence Each and every day… And wrest the best From their meager Subsistence And take what they’re given …From each God given day…

You Say

You say you are a
Saint. Your reign
Is of no indent. We
Must wrest
Out our mindless doubt. Your
Tenet is
Without debt. YES,
That was just at the
Start. No one
You called stupid
As you ought
Not do so even now. But
How do we
Reject this doubt
With your floret withered;
When you
Now break our reedy necks
Not our plummet?

Pale Daughters Part Three

Pale daughters beam in the miers
their freckles shine galore
eating sorbet all day

They skip to school
trampling on the dandelions
They are the daughters of pan
musically adroit yet quite forlorn

Their mother tongue is telling half truths
to their peers
half awake they want to wrest your pulse
They cannot be considered inconsequential

Melodrama

The Gothic Quest had best
Not seek to really wrest
The truth from underneath
Time’s tightly shrouded sheath.

Across each quaint old tale
Is stretched a taut black veil
To cloak the primal dread
Hinted at, not said.

The creaking castle door—
The trap door in the floor—
Mere stage props in your soul:
Each man has a start.
There you play your part.

Ants

Stupid ants
Wreck each other
Kill yourselves
As none other

Repeated cycle
All in vain
Teach another
Undue pain

Who will play
King of the hill
When one is never
Better still

Understand
The pretense being
He can never
Be all seeing

Wrest each mandible
From the other
Lay these weapons
Down asunder

Was the whole
All worth the end
Does the act
In worth amend?

Not Possible Rest After Arrest

How many people find rest
After a caging arrest?
How many can give their best?
When locked doors from them, dreams wrest?
They are crops their jailer pest!

Freedom they seek East and West:
Much like The Only Wished Guest,
'F' of Freedom stamp on chest,
On my polo it's a crest.
Women would theirs mark on  breast;
They don't like this kind of test:
Bird whose best home is its nest.

Premium Member How To Get There

How do you get to there from here
How do you wrest the untouched fear.

Why you just put one foot in front of the other
And never look to the rear.

Its just a matter of time they say
One step is further than none.

Before you know it, you're way ahead
of the place You once begun.

How do you get to there from here
No one surely knows,
As the best in life is on the road
That no one often goes.

   Hop on Cop
   He eats Slop
   Off his Top
   He'll go Plop

 Burn things down
 To the ground
 Inhibitions unbound
 Flames' crackling sound

  Loot a store
  Take some more
  Work's a bore
  What's a riot for

  Do your best
  To disrupt the West
  You're just a guest
  Til power you wrest

  Have some fun
  Shoot your gun
  You've already won
  This country's done

Evensong

A golden tincture to the sky
as to the west it goes its way,
last fleeting glance of the sun’s eye
ere night-time comes to wrest the day.

Sat tired within my garden there
high on a tree an anthems sung,
a feathered lovechild of the airr
affirming joy of life on wing.

Its song more permanent than I
though I may think to own the tree
it cares not and all change defies
for that small bird owns liberty.

Premium Member Frosted Windows

Eyes reflect a fireplace glowing,
Moonlight has its luring say.
Wrest the cork, the wine is flowing,
Laughter eases care away.

Glasses clink through frosted windows.
Reminisce when first they meet.
Face to face on propping elbows,
Whispers pillows ever keep.

Passion molds a cryptic sculpture
Shaped without a reason why.
Love creates a mystic culture,
Words attempt but can't define.

The Crystal Gaze

Just behind the crystal gaze

wrest with defeat and crumbled name

know me though you cannot see

Silver ghost haunting me.

shadows passing mind to mind

A thought to hide forbidden

and while peering eyes to eyes

the random hope is hidden .

Oh haste defeat this vexing stare

This would unshackle you .

The crystal Gaze entrances all

Wipe your eyes and seek for truth .

Naive Innocence

O pink horse, O timeless sun,
run on my body, run. Black magic
had pierced the needles into my heart.

Lying on nails to wrest a superearth
from amnesty, I start bandaging the bruised
ethos of my native conscience –

on the spike of a violence, refusing
to give up my home to fire, tending
the voiceless flora of a virgin rock.

The questions stand up, against
the black walls of silence. The blue birds
are going to fly in white desert.

Premium Member Tom's Angels

Not all guardian angels have wings
To hover in a stone washed sky.
Sometimes they suddenly enter your life
And may cause you to question why?

Sometimes it may have been a stranger
Whom God thought you needed to know.
Just a seed that you'd be undeserving of
From which friendship and love will grow.

Angels that will induce Godly thoughts
And wrest from your soul, your best.
Perhaps this is just why God sends them
To assist you through another life test.
